Bucks were moving today. Rut is on !!! Saw a little six pointer get hit in Greenville, NC today. And a monster right outside city limits rite before sunset.
I live in a tiny failing state called the UK and everything here is illegal.
Seriously, you have to have money, land and contacts to get a firearms license and, if you don't know a rich person to "guarantee" you, you can't get a license at all.
I want to live somewhere where hunting is for everyone, not just the rich.
If you don't like huntin with dogs go watch a deer get shot from a tree and never have a chance to get away. Immoral.........get real. People who don't like dog huntin usually have never done it or they shoot and miss and get pissed off and want to go crawl up a tree so they can shoot something standing broad side at 50 yards. I absolutely love bow and muzzle loading from a tree stand but when rifle season rolls around............I want my hounds singin.
Hunting with hounds is great, it is not just about killing a deer, it is the pleasure of hearing the hounds doing their job, and if at the end of the day we did not kill any deer, no problem, we enjoy our dogs.
There aint a dadgum thing wrong with runnin some deer with them dogs! The first deer that i ever killed was infront of a pack of hell hounds! If you have any clue what you talking about either the dogs won't run you still hunters deer away if the deer are accoustomed to hearing the dogs and no when to run and when to bed down. I havent even gotten a chance to shoot at a deer from the stand! When running dogs is outlawed all ive gotta say is catch me if ya can!

Glad you all can still run dogs... we did it for a long time in central Louisiana, but the population boom has made it very difficult along with all the hunting clubs with non dog hunters moving in. Wish you continued success. RC
@34bullfrog thanks. we are struggling with population booms in areas here as well. but, for the most part, lower sc is extremely rural. along with all the private land is a several hundred thousand acre national forest open to dogs every other week or so. dog huntin in sc isn't goin anywhere for the time being.

I can't speak for everyone.I myself am not an entertainment hunter.I hunt to put food on the table, and I save thousands every year by growing crops and hunting/fishing.In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with self sufficiency.

@Navyethan2010 it crossed on a bend in the road that cant be cut off due to safety reasons. its too easy to accidentally get shot on a curve in the road like that. Buckshot is meant for deer..not people lol.

A good hunt is a dog barking in the distance...you know there on to something...we do this with deer and moose....we usually use Muts..they listen well and track and push them out when needed...iv got a moose and a deer this style of hunting...good video
ten fo, i hunt up in nc in nash county down east... i had some treeing walkers at one time that were badass deer dogs, i got 8 walkers and that red dog, i cut back some last deer season i had 13 dogs...
@NashCountyDogRunner we run a mixture. got a couple treestock mixes and a of fox walker mixe. the rest are black n tans. also have two beagle walker mixes. two beagle/walkers, three black n tans, and three walkers
