  • bribery for good service is how congress works also. fuck the idea

  • lol

  • ...and that's why living on making someone live on tips should be illegal.

  • i hate when a restaurant owner makes all the wait staff SPLIT the tips. That allows the LAZY, rude waitresses to tap into the tips EARNED by the professional, good waitresses/waitors. Tips should be EARNED,,, not divided randomly!

  • What? That's the most basic form of socialism, what are you saying?

That people should be allowed to keep what they earn, and not have to give a portion to someone who is not as good as them??

    Blasphemy!!

  • hmmm, thank you for your comment Barack! lol.

  • the holy bible says he who shall not work shall not eat. its in red ,read it and weep

    fool.

  • I think you missed the

    **Sarcasm**

  • fuck god fuck religion its nothing but a worm and before me it trembles in fear but fear its not what it should be of me it should be awe

  • wel he better get ready because he has a tough match

  • if thats all it takes to kill it sure why not, can add that baby to my "Talents" list

  • basic capitalism vs. communism

  • @datzfast It really isn't..

  • dat jonit was good. but what da fuck did it have to do wif ah tipjar?

  • Very amusing.

  • waitresses with shitty attitudes, yep, its the reason I dont tip.

  • This video doesn't support our case at all. This video sucks! I am a full time student, AND a waitress. 1. I realize that this it's not a job to support myself or a family. That's why I'm in school.

    2. Tips are not a right; they are earned. If you get crappy service, don't tip.

I also do not appreciate how you portray waitresses like strippers that don't take their clothes off. I don't throw myself at customers to get good tips like the hookers in this video - I give them good service.

  • morty505, wouldnt it be better if you were paid a decent wage for waitressing, rather than having to pander for tips. I think thats the point of the vid. You say you are a full time student, but you still have a lot to learn.

  • so fuckin condescending show some respect

  • I think you forgot the plot.

  • The plot is there. You just have to pay attention :D

  • Omg o love this!

  • Regardless of the necessity of this silly video, if you've never worked in the service industry, you're an a-hole. "Your ranch dressing isn't that important, it's just gross." if you can't tip, don't go out, we don't need you, see, the government taxes us on our tips, but they tax us on our sales as well. So (unless I deserved it), if you don't tip, or you tip less than 8%, you're actually costing me money. Oh, the things we do to put ourselves through school.

  • So let's see if I got this right: a waitress flirts with a customer for the sole purpose of potentially increasing the gratuity she will receive and then takes umbrage with his interpretation of her coquetry...

Just remember, the whores in developing countries have to suck a whole lotta cock to make the same kind of change a waitress in the states gets for just pursing those pouty lips!! Count yourselves lucky for only having to rebuff a couple of boneheads!!

    Jeez!!

  • HA! :)

  • So long as sex appeal is your bread and butter--expect it. If you can't take the heat, stop whoring.

  • Don't like living on tips? I got two words for ya: learn to fuckin type.

  • To IowaDirtbag:

    Very funny Mr Pink!

  • Great film! I used to be a server and as a male I saw this same story repeat over and over with my female coworkers. It's the everyday thing.

  • Those who don't tip need piss in thier food.

  • Hahaha occupational hazard. Don't like it then learn to type.

  • Great Video, but Why can't women just say I'm not interested? It's simple it's one line, you don't have to lie, and we actually get the point.

Stop giving fake numbers, stop giving excuses, simply say, "I'm flattered but I'm not interested".

  • @Nafsllib Why are you putting a comment that has no relation to the video at all? Bring your sob story somewhere else

  • sluts

  • thats dumb. government shouldnt tax our tips

  • Have you ever worked in a restaurant? Tips for a server are their bread and butter. If it wasn't for the tips, its not worth dealing with idiots who don't know good service. Waiters/waitresses work had to please you and the least you could do is tip them for their services.

  • I've worked in a restaurant. If you don't get paid enough at your job, here's a crazy idea: do something about it like get a higher paying job. That's what I did. Stop being a whiny asshole when you don't get handouts from everyone else. You're worse than beggars. Beggars don't even EXPECT the money they get from people. They just hope for it, and they don't antagonize people who refuse to give them spare change.

  • Imagine this: suddenly, everyone stopped tipping. Then, since the hourly wage alone wouldn't be enough for the wait staff, they would either quit, or threaten to quit if wages are not raised. Restaurants need their waiters to stay in business, so management would have no choice but to raise their pay. That way, waiters would still get paid enough for what they do, customers wouldn't have to shell out extra money, and the management would be forced to stop being the cheap assholes that they are.

  • You're forgetting that if that happened then food prices would go up and you'd probably be spending the same amount, the only difference is that if it was a slow night/day the staff would get paid the same... but if it was a busy night they'd probably get paid less.

  • ..and immediately the menus would be changed with higher prices. the tip that you would be avoiding would be passed through the owner's pocket book and of course, he/she would take their cut before the premium would be passed on to the waitstaff.. i agree however that owners need to pay the waitstaff more so they don't have to rely on tips, though.. i am just saying that you can't escape it.

  • If someone didn't tip- I hope they get piss in thier food.

  • NEEDS MOAR COWBELL!

Very well made. I like it!

  • moviehombre (1 month ago) Show Hide -6 Marked as spam Reply | Spam Here's a tip:

    don't work as a waiter!

    Kiss my ass fucktard.

  • this is really well done. beautiful and crisp shots. nice angles, good lighting.

    good job guys

  • I would have said... I'm really a man! LOL!!

  • I have seen two ppieces of yor work

I like waht you are doing

    you are an innovator

    DDB

  • This is very very very well done... very creative story, and shot very well...

Thank you for not wasting my time

"What got you into the medical field?"

    -"Medicine"

    haha

  • two things - I was a server and lived off tips alone, however, that doesn't mean I deserve a tip. I will stiff a waiter if the server is that bad and I will discuss that with the manager before I leave the restaurant.

2 - I hate bitches like this.... look, if you don't want to go out say "No." Don't give the bullshit response... btw I LOVE explosive diarrhea, I'd still go!

  • Tips was suppose to be appreciation for service, now is becaming forced, insulting and a sort of welfare.

  • From NOTIP - National Organization to Instill Pride

Get you employers to pay you what they think you're really worth. If we reduce taxes on the rich - there should be more high paying jobs at fine restaurants and escort services, message parlours etc.

  • Nice. Loved it.

  • Very professional... well done with this and all your vids.

  • Great video, good script, very well made, and I rate it AAA!

About SlapHead though: first of all SlapsHead can't tell fiction from non-fiction; second of all if anyone is a bitch it's SlapsHead; and I would give SlapsHead a good hard kick in the ass but he would probably like it too much.

  • This is so funny! It reminds me of waiting tables in college.

  • Good camera skills... nice storyline and a very good film overall. Acting was a little :/ but was actually very good for an amateur film group. Good job. I'll be sure to watch more of you videos!

  • what camera did u guys use?please answer back

  • The camera was a Panasonic DVX 100B with a 35mm lens adaptor and Nikon lenses (for the depth of field).

  • realy expensive?

  • Not too expensive. You can probably pick one up on ebay for a couple grand. It's Standard Definition, but very rugged and adaptable.

  • the quility seems very professional. what did u use to move the camera like in the biggining?

  • We used a 20-foot crane for the opening shot and craned in from outside the building, through one of their windows, and into the interior of the cafe. That shot took almost 3 hours to prep but was so much fun!

  • so you guys are pretty pro and high budget right?

  • I think Tip Jar cost less than $1000.00 to make. But we got the location, actors and crew for free so we just had to cover food, new equipment and other small costs. We have a few films that would require big budgets to make but we are just focusing on the inexpensive stories until we get our name out there. The film Drain (on our channel) is the latest one we've shot and that one was right around $10,000 but we got some funding for that one.

  • ohhh. do you use big boom mics for sound?

  • We picked up a Sennheizer shotgun mic for audio, but ended up doing ADR for the entire film afterwards. Usually we can get away with recording with one boom mic though. On the next project, we are planning on hiding wireless mics on the actors and see how that works out. Should be a fun experiment.

  • h okay yeah that would be cool to try. what is ADR?

  • ADR is Addition Dialogue Recording. After we finished the film, we had to call all the actors back to record their dialogue in a studio with no background noise. The location we shot at was too noisy, so we had to piece together all the audio bits in post to get it to the final product.

  • ohh awsome! its matched up perfectly. did u use a mixing board to record afterwords?

  • We just recorded it off the camera mic afterwards. We are looking into a mixing board in the future but those are pricey.

  • ohh yeah. i just recently got my hands on one. (im into making parodys of popular songs)

  • is that how they do it on pro movies?

  • I'm not sure. I think it's probably done on mix boards most of the time. We just do everything through Final Cut Pro.

  • yeah, i think they record it on a mixing board while they accualy act with boom mics connected to a mixing board and add the audia after words

  • is that how hollywood movies gete thier audio?

  • There's a lot of ADR used in movies and TV. Just watch the credits and look for ADR.

  • hoe do they get all the background noise right?

  • That's all added, I believe, by Foley artists (sound effects.) Foley is another keyword to look for in the credits. You could Google the terms or look for them in Wikipedia, maybe you'll find more connected topics.

  • i have a question. i got a bunch of panosonic lenses. if i were to pick up like a canon HD camera and a 35mm lens adapter would th panosonic lenses work on the nikon camera?

  • huh?

  • i have a panosonic AG-DVC7 and its not nearly as good qiulity as that.

  • Lul@the more tip jar.

  • Haha, wonderfull.

  • haha nice

  • Nice
