It showed kangaroos being slaughtered and then several cute joeys but it didn't show anything about other meat industries or how kangaroos actually fit in the Australian ecosystem. This clip is EXTREMELY BIASED and if you cant see that you need to do your research. Why do cows, lambs, pigs and chickens deserve to be slaughtered and not kangaroos just because they are an iconic animal.

ur a vegan and I'm not but I would like to point out that roos are often culled because they over graze areas and that in turn decreases the biodiversity of the area. These landscapes have been destroyed previously by the hooves of cattle. Aust has more threatened species than anywhere else so if ur opposed to the roo industry don't be surprised when Aust looses yet another species because apparently it doesn't matter if we lose the little guy as long as there are millions of roos.

The eastern grey kangaroo is considered a pest because of the open grasslands that are available to them due to farming. If they could be contained and bred to suit dietry needs, then they wouldnt have to shoot wild populations of kangaroo.

Shooters DO shot females, all the THREE species of red, grey and wallaroo are dwingling, some areas more than others. The 'large males' are the ones that make the species survive, the gene pool is being desimated. As for the weight allowance - 14kg is the min shoot weight, 14 kg and they are not even at breeding age yet... Get a grip and do so research.

It showed kangaroos being slaughtered and then several cute joeys but it didn't show anything about other meat industries or how kangaroos actually fit in the Australian ecosystem. This clip is EXTREMELY BIASED and if you cant see that you need to do your research. Let's face it, these industries are controlled by money, People kill kangaroos (despite what they might tell you), for monetary reasons. Whether that be directly (meat/skins) or indirectly (protecting their crops). There is nothing moral about killing an animal. To argue otherwise is self-deluded rationalisation. ur a vegan and I'm not but I would like to point out that roos are often culled because they over graze areas and that in turn decreases the biodiversity of the area. These landscapes have been destroyed previously by the hooves of cattle. Aust has more threatened species than anywhere else so if ur opposed to the roo industry don't be surprised when Aust looses yet another species because apparently it doesn't matter if we lose the little guy as long as there are millions of roos.

A kangaroo is a native Australian animal. It does what it does. If it grazes, well that's what nature intended. If that grazing leads to other species loss, then so be it. Who are we to interfere? However, I think kangaroos are being used as a bit of a scape goat. Clearly the animals responsible for environmental degradation in Australia are, you guessed it, HUMANS! Kangaroos did perfectly well living in harmony with all the other critters long before European settlers came with their cows.

You ever thought of just not watching it? We could poison them with 1080, like they do in Tasmania to wallabys, then the tamanian devils eat them, now they have cancer & are now endangered. Shooting animals to some isnt the nicest of things, especially to the untrained eye. But you cant let emotion get in the way of the facts, culling is needed no matter what you think.

'Culling' is a man-made practice. What do you think happened before Europeans came to Australia and started interfering? Do you think kangaroo numbers ballooned to such an extent that they eliminated all the vegetation, simply because there were no humans with guns to control their numbers? OF COURSE NOT! Nature doesn't allow that to happen. Culling is completely unnecessary. It's purely about profits - and to kill something because of profits is intrinsically immoral.

It is due to this misguided pommy that some roos that are necessarily culled go to waste. If roos aren't controlled, over population occurs and the animals starve. Most vegetarians don't realise that roos are culled to protect the crops for the bread and veges they eat, pesiticide and insecticides used run off into river systems killing all sorts of animals and fish. Take a good look at yourselves. You only get my respect if you grow your own veges in your own yard without any PEST control.

Morons, completely scientifically and factually inaccurate.
If kangaroos are not culled they breed out of control and do massive damage to farms. They have no natural predators and multiply to the extent that they starve to death. (dingos have little or no effect on roo numbers) Roos are still a huge problem even with this industry AND the culling that goes on. Stupid greenies want their cheap produce then constantly screw farmers. wankers

I think part of the reason may be that kangaroos are overpopulating. there are cullings of them to reduce their numbers often because there are so many. Whales are an endangered species
