I remember seeing this short when it first came out; as far as I know it didn't play in theaters, but it was on cable. Very cool short film; it has long form film quality & depth. Very nice...
Thanks for posting this. I recorded this when it came out but loaned it to a friend and never saw it again! I've been looking for it ever since but could not remember the name.
Back when I first saw this on tv, I had taped it, and discovered that when I ran the audio through my stereo, I was able to record onto an audio tape. So I used to have that song taped. I thought it was a cool song then, and I still think it's a cool song now. Oh if I had only saved that tape from long ago. Moonyhold, thanks for posting this, brought back some good memories.
Please put the entire film up. I've never seen it before and would love to see it. Everyone's comments seem to be that it's a great movie and that this is the only place I'll ever be able to watch it.
Moonyhold decided to put it here because there is no other place for anyone to view this classic short film. I only have a copy of it in my personal video collection because I was fortunate enough to record it years ago when Showtime aired it. I havent seen it anywhere since, except for postings here.
So, how about it, Seth? This film is long overdue for a proper release, it is James Remar's best performance. Is it an issue of music rights?
Id buy a copy of this on DVD today if it was available. I tried to search for the DVD compilation of "award winning short films" mention previously by someone else, but can find nothing listed about it.
I think the film is a short masterpiece, Ive loved it since the first time I saw it in the early 90s. It gives you a real feeling for being in a recording studio, more than most feature length films. And if they gave acting Oscars for short film performances, Remar would have been a shoe-in.
great movie, have this on video. I remember reading somewhere that this is loosely based on Waddy Wachtel.
