I heard (from Wikipedia) that Billy Crystal regretted not accepting the role of Buzz, thus quickly jumped on board for Monsters Inc., which I will admit, was a good call.

Sort of like Sean Connery with the Matrix and Lord of the Rings. He didn't accept them, so he went on League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. (Which, by the way, was flippin' fantastic. I don't know what the critics were drinking to say it sucked.)
