What makes David completely unique as a performer is that everyone in the audience feels and knows that David is up there for THEM. The gratitude is built in to every note he sings. I noticed here that he almost apologizes for singing a slow song because the event is a "rock" show. He doesn't realize yet that everyone, of all ages, loves his ballads and wants to hear them. I know I do, although my Kleenex bill is getting out of hand.
