  • Rod Stewart can suck a fat one. Don't EVER try to rip off the master.

  • bob is 4ever young<3singing beautiful thoughts 2us<3

  • this proves how badass dylan and the band were playing this song in a totally different time signature than the original, folks nowadays can onl hope to see a band adapt their songs to something different like they did back then, boo-ya-ka-sha !

  • In the history of civilzation there are names that will live on for a thousand years; Plato Aristotle, Socrates, Beethoven, Mozart, Rembrandt, Picasso, Freud, the Beatles

    and Bob Dylan

  • @uzpeep i don't mean to be like this but you have to add MJ and or Elvis

  • @DESSYPOOproductions nah they were mega entertainers like Frank Sinatra. I refer to visionaries whose contributions to philosophy, western civilization and culture changed society and directed that change. I am not referring to music

  • @uzpeep true

  • Dylan is King.

  • I sing this to my cats.

  • God broke the mould after he made this legend,

  • this is incredible!!! it can't get any better than this!!! thank you bob!!!!

  • DYLAN DIDN'T NEED THE MEDIA.... HE MADE HIMSELF. NO CORPORATE AMERICA BULLSHIT FOR HIM.

  • My daddy sang this to me, i have the same birthday as bob dylan, he`s my inspiration

  • I wrote down this song on the first page of my daughter's baby album. May God bless and keep her forever!

  • My friend's son was 18 years old yesterday, her husband wrote the words of this song in his card. A Beautiful Blessing to give any young person who is embarking upon this amazing Journey we call Life.

  • This song is a lullaby to his children just like Quin The Eskimo.

  • For Tom ~ 7/17/51 - 2/7/2004..RIP Tom always...

  • In my opinion, this is one of the most moving performances of one of the most beautiful songs ever written. You can feel the raw emotion dripping out, truly remarkable. Few songwriters have ever been able to craft a song like that and Dylan is king among them.

  • I'm crying. How'd we get so old so fast?

  • @uzpeep I'll B damned if I know,,,,,,shit happens I guess!

    Shine on!!

  • @DazBoots88 I'm just walkin down the road feeling bad....tryin to get to heaven fore they close the door

  • @uzpeep Amen

  • @uzpeep

YEP... HOW DID WE???? NOT BY BEING STUPID, THAT'S FOR SURE, LIKE WHAT WE SEE IN THE WORLD TODAY.

  • @uzpeep The best way to serve the age is to betray it.

  • This song is dedicated to all who fought and died in any War in this fucking World:(

  • THIS IS JUST THE BEST BRILLIANT !!!!

  • Pimp Hat fucking seals it.

  • Bob was awesome like always but that stage was filled with tallent !

  • Thanks for posting this...memories flood back...

  • love the lyrics

  • Robbie Robertson was so incredible. Most underrated guitar player ever

  • @WilfordBrimley22 I totally agree, and I would add George Harrison as well. You must be a Player yourself. In all these years, I've found that only other guitarists really appreciate R.R.'s work.

  • Love Love Love this!!!!

  • Amazing lyrics!

  • I'm trying, Bob. Hands always busy, but feet not so swift.

  • Bob and The Band, what a great mix.

  • ....Rod Stewart's is so much betterr;.....

  • @SleepWhenIamDead Surely you're trolling.

  • @mollythecreator ....I am not trolling....listen to them one after the other....Bob's is really folksy and dated whilst Rod's hip and touches the heart, esp if you have children....Bob may have wrote it but it took Rod to interpret it -nothing wrong with that, Bob gets his due and the millions that Rod made off of the song that Bob didn't....

  • @SleepWhenIamDead sad comment

  • @SleepWhenIamDead you're outta your mind - Dylans version is an experience of something important, Stewarts is just muzak pop with great lyrics.

  • @SleepWhenIamDead Maybe...but Bob wrote it :)

  • He shows up unrehearsed, picks 3 songs off the can not be played list and the band has to figure out which song he opted to play within first few notes. The looks on their faces just to recognize which song they were going to do it priceless. Dylan was in top form, the version of each song played was sensational and it was the perfect ending to a spectacular tribute to the Band.

  • what happened at 2:56? What they are laughing at, i mean.

  • Genius,enough said.

  • Media did not make Dylan.Nobody wanted to make a jewish kid from Minnesota with a funny voice a star. But when you're 21 years old and write Blowin in the Wind,Hard Rain,Masters of War,Don't Think Twice,It's All Right and other great songs your genius can't be denied. He didn't have a huge marketing campaign around him like Springsteen.

  • @tacoprontoful Well said!

  • just a dope smoking weirdo. .. .who can't sing. . . proof that the media can made the dullards and sheep in the public believe and follow anything. .. . . this guy is nothing but a more hip Tiny Tim. ..

  • @Semprasectum actually he can sing you just don't like the sound

  • @Semprasectum Dude, did ur mom do meth when you were in the womb?

  • @Semprasectum

"Dope smoking weirdo?", really? I'll have some of what he's smoking. If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then Dylan is a genius. FACT: Dylan's songs have garnered more royalties than any other songrwiter except Rogers\Hammerstein & McCartney\Lennon.

Not bad for a "dope smoking weirdo", eh?

  • @Semprasectum at that point in time, i think his voice was great. and he quit smoking by then.

  • @Semprasectum Deffinitely more talented than the other song writers that came out in his generation.... Deffinitely better than the Rolling Stones and The Beatles. Had more intellectual statements to make with his songs too.

  • @Semprasectum

If you have a brain it is most definitely inserted in that place where the sun doesn't shine

  • @Semprasectum No offense, but you are an idiot!

  • @Semprasectum HAHA sanctimonious sphincter twitch of a ninny. Just go away and find something you do like. Bu-bye:)

  • @Simpleseptum- I realize there are those who seek out what brings them joy and rejoice in it... and then there are those who seek out the joy of others AND SHIT ON IT. Good job. Next...

  • Greatest songwriter ever.At his full powers here.Blew away every other performer that evening wth his charisma.

  • 60MINS

  • sold his sole TO THE DEVIL LOOK UP THE 0 MINS INTERVIEW

  • @PICKLEMAN711111 luckily he had good socks...

  • good at lyric organization :

  • Nah, he's not that much of a singer, but who fucking cares when his songs are awesome :)

  • @Ztnarf1985 are u an idiot? He is a great Singer. I guess u think Tom petty is a bad one too?

  • Guy below me is an imbecile. He is not a terrible singer.

  • Horrible singer but one of the greatest song writers EVER hands down

  • I love the band

  • I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now ! Discuss !

  • I was just a kid when i first seen this! Now my kids are older than I was then!

  • best version- he had meaning in it, pronouncing everything. Plus, he had a voice at that time.

  • @dablueman21 still has a voice. what do you mean? He isn't known for being a great singer!

  • @muclesmarinara Well i meant he had a GOOD voice at that time. Yes he still has a voice, but he doesn't seem to use it well without a big rasp in each sentence due to his old smoking.

  • Minnesota Boy ~~~ done did good !!

  • @LifesTutorials I heard that he saw a girl flashing him, but I don't know how true that is.

  • Happy Birthday Marvelous Marvin 2011 : )

  • Oh my dear good God, I want to marry this man.

  • This will be performed at the baptism of my first child!

  • Old Man Again: I was young when he released this, and I am YOUNG again when I hear it. We are the only generation to never grow old. Years, Wars, Pain... Never dimisheses our "youngness". I lost some of my innocence and young years with the conflict in VietNam... Bob gives me those times back, over and over again. He is THE 20th century voice to all who believe that their lives matter...

  • @NJBOYW NICE ONE,OLD MAN,KEEP BELIEVING.

  • @NJBOYW Thanks for your comment. I feel the same as you and I never get tired of listening to this wonderful song!

  • @NJBOYW Shame he won't give the babies you bayoneted back their youth.

  • @HairyBogTrotter You, Sir, are a turd. That is all...

  • @NJBOYW Beautiful comment, sir. Thank you! With all my heart...

  • Forever Young - que canção magnifica sensacional.

  • No equal!

  • I think this is his best song

  • great solo by robert though

  • Always!

  • who is the guy soloing?

  • @claycook13 Robbie Robertson on the guitar

  • for anyone under 30,this is what is called a concert, with musicians.

  • @MsEdd1e LOL

  • @MsEdd1e I am fifteen. But I know what you mean. Music nowadays doesn't compare to Bob Dylan or The Band!

  • @MsEdd1e I am not 30 yet but i understand my friend, speechless

  • @MsEdd1e You are a patronising little penis aren't you? Bless.

  • Probably the greatest artist of the 20th century. A deep and great poet, a deep and great song writer. A truly renaissance man of our times. His legacy shines over our head, a sky full of meaningful stars.

  • Before this tune, the closest pop songwriting had come to expressing these so beautiful sentiments was probably "Young at Heart." There had been very great lyrics before Dylan, but he did change things for the "poetic-better." Now, there are not just so many great covers of this tune, but instances where artists try their hand at expressing the same idea in their own words.

What a positive impact one guy can have...

  • Bob Dylan, men like him do not pass through history often........and what a legacy he will leave for all to enjoy.

  • No need to argue over who was best at that concert. Every song, every artist, and every performance was great. I'm sure this ranks near the top of just about everyones "I wish I was there" concert list.

  • seeing bob young and in his prime like this, this song and with the songs that followed.. just shows why he was that dame awsome

  • love ya Bob,always...

  • Bob, "may you stay Forever Young"!

Thank you, Bob! You are great. You're always in my heart. You're the only singer I love.

  • bob dylan is forever young

  • @08shorstop I think "Helpless" barely edges this one out as emotional highlight of the concert, but this is a keeper, too !

  • @shaunhaines Not a chance! Forever Young. However, Van Morrison certaintly was a crowd pleaser that night as well as Muddy Waters!

  • @shaunhaines This concert was nov.12th Neil Youngs Bday.

  • Much love.

  • I love his chapeau!

  • My God, an under-appreciated video on YT ... emotional highlight of the entire concert ... we all are lucky to share the same time on earth with Dylan.

  • may you stay forever young Mr.Dylan,we all love ya!

  • Dylan & The Band....will forever keep us...FOREVER YOUNG!

  • Bob Dylan + The Band = Greatness

  • oh lordylord, if I come to die, please make them play this song, or even better, sing it all together !!!!

  • damn you dylan i LOVE you

  • I sing this song to my daughter every night when i put her to bed. :)

  • best version of Forever Young EVER!

  • Brilliant.....

  • I love the look at the end of the song when The Band has no clue...is this Bob's last song or maybe....one more? Well what song is it & Levon is looking like someone let me in on this? I've often wondered if Dylan had a set list in mind or played just whateveer he felt like?

  • @ohiodixiechick2 I always thought how great it was, they just rolled from Forever Young into the next song, they where filling at the end of that one and getting the timing down for the next. Buy the dvd, best money you'll ever spend.

  • love the look on bobs face after robbies high note around 2:05 !!!

  • Goosebumps on the arms, great lyrics, awesome musicians. This music will live forever. One of the most wonderful concerts ever captured on film.

  • 4.07! Love the way that Dylan ,Robbie & Levon look at each other! I assume it means robbie & Levon are lookin to Bob to give a signal as to what the next song will be!!

  • Forever young!
