  • You fuckers are still there? osama is dead leave!

  • @TheAfghan72 I concur. Time to leave

  • OMG Is this with Afghan villagers?... were these Pashtuns or something? Is this where the Afghan girl comes from?

  • @SaraCHAII Yes, they're Pashtuns. This was filmed at what was once a small outpost called FOB Ripley. It sat about a half mile south of the city limits of a town called Tarin Kowt, which is 90 miles north of Kandahar. The Dutch are now stationed there, and it's been renamed to Kamp Holland

  • @QuartuvLarry WOW, Thanks so much for posting this. It really touched me it almost made me cry lol Its on my list of favorites! many blessings.

  • @SaraCHAII You're quite welcome

  • This made me smile :)

  • Yeah! Stop the fighting ( you're being used by the oil slaves all the rest is blahblah, don't let the American government use and abuse you) and sing!

  • Ehhhh....

Do you know WHY we're in Afghanistan? Believe me, it's not because of a pipeline (or at least, not the SOLE reason. I won't deny the pipeline is a potential perk)

  • It's because we want to prevent the taliban from controlling a NUCLEAR Pakistan...but now I see the futility of it all. Look up Gerald Celente at the Trends Research Institute. Some videos of his are up here on YT. He makes Nostradamus look like NostraDUMBASS! Haha!

Unfortunately, he predicts we'll lose Afghanistan...a whole year of my life...wasted...God! Wasted!

  • @QuartuvLarry I'm so sorry you wasted a lot of hard work in an entire year and thank you so much for your effort! But Afghanistan will remain a war zone for probably as long as I live. It's a shame that what was once a land of poets and music is now controlled by barbarians.

  • watch?v=t3w2mGQ7V3Q&feature=related

PLEASE TELL ME THIS ISNT HAPPENING

  • @HOTDesigirl Not where I was. Nothing but hajji dudes.

Hardest thing to prove, easiest thing to accuse

  • @QuartuvLarry Im sorry but whats a hajji?

  • @HOTDesigirl Technically, any muslim that has performed the Hajj to Mecca.

But we call all of them hajjis because it makes no difference to us.

  • @QuartuvLarry

Sooooo, I guess Im a Hajji then. say muslim I respected you up until now...wtf

  • @QuartuvLar

I guess Im a hajji then even though I have never been to Mecca...see racism evolves from being ignorant and narrow minded, this practice derives from not ignoring these small details and not painting an entire group with one brush. Call them Muslim its the technical term for us and you will gain more respect among Muslims if you do so. I know you might not like Afghanistan but that's not our fault its USSR, during the 60s we had COed univercities for Medical Sciences.

  • @HOTDesigirl Racism? When was this about RACE? Why does nobody ever get that it's been a losing argument for YEARS to declare racism in regards to islam?

Besides, if you're already a follower of the hajji religion, why ask the question in the first place?

  • @HOTDesigirl I've never called a Pashtun Christian a hajji anyway, because they are so rare in Afghanistan (must be from all the muslim persecution)

  • @QuartuvLarry okie :) so r u the dude singing or filming? but its not like just because you are a soldier you have an excuse to be ignorant. I have seen a female soldier speak Arabic and know little details about Iraqi culture. Knowing these small aspects of culture will bring you closer to them which will probably be beneficial to your duties there. We seriously need more female soldiers because there nicer on average and are not cocky on average and commit less rape crimes than men do.

  • @HOTDesigirl The guy with the camera.

Why are you still talking about Iraq? This is in Afghanistan

  • @HOTDesigirl oh kool and no i was just giving an example which happened to be set it Iraq. But this method can be applied to any country because it will bring a sense of belonging, which I can see is present in the video too. And thanks for your work unless you killed a child or tortured people or rape someone.

  • @HOTDesigirl No. Neither I nor the men on my team have raped or tortured anyone. And to my knowledge, nobody shooting at us was under 18 years of age (even though it wouldn't matter because ANYONE shooting at you is an enemy combatant and must be met with equal force, child or not)

I used to be all hawkish and gung-ho about the mission. We should've been finished by now. It's time to bring our troops home.

  • @QuartuvLarry if osamas dead why r americans still there

  • @HOTDesigirl That's the $million question right there

  • HaHa! Great video guys!

  • I love this video, I actually lost it and wanted to find it again it was so good.

Now that I see this again, I bet those Afghans were pissed when they started sing the "Shalalala" chorus haha

  • Naw, just befuddled and confused. Too bad I don't have video of us trying to teach them the "Witch Doctor" song. Whoo! That was funny!

  • haha. theyre not winning any hearts and minds with renditions like that.

  • Everyone's a critic

  • I also killed about 7 of your wife-beating taliban friends, AND I'm still alive! Don't forget to hate me over that as well! LOL!

  • HW5O, I hope al 72 of your virgins look like Phyllis Diller.

  • The Taliban isn't a legitimate gov't. Its a terrorist organization that murders whole families for not complying with "requests" for suicide bombers, uses CHILDREN as human shields, and, since you seem to have forgotten, murdered 3,000 American citizens on 9/11.

  • Thanks for posting this. It leaves you with a feeling of hope, and a smile.

  • this is awesome! :D who ever is playing the guitar has an amazing voice! love it.

  • lol i know now women covering their faces with that thing called burqa and before the mujahidin took over women didnt cover they wore very modern clothes and the burqa the origin of it comes from pakistan and since taliban took over and majority of them being from pakistan made women to wear burqa

and iam sorry to hear that i hope u win this battle as well be positive and iam sure u will win wish you all the best

  • Burkha itself, well it has different names ans styles. The wives of the Prophet (saw) wore niqabs, (burkha) and the idea the Tailban had was, in their view, since the wives of the Prohpet were the best of women and all Muslim women should emulate their actions, they made this fard for women. It comes from differences in opinion of Schools of Thought (madhabs) in Islam. I think Hanbali says it is fard.

  • Sorry, bub. The wives of Mohamed being the best of women is entirely opinion-based. (personally, I prefer single women) Different people have different opinions. I like a woman who's strong enough to show her face and intimidate most weak men.

  • What a twisted view of the world you have. You didn't even look at what I had to say.

  • No, I understand your view. I just don't sympathize with it.

  • indeed...eurocentrism...the lastest understood concept, and the most prevelent today. Well, the West was made by Europe after all. And Hobbes and Locke, and the masters of secularism, and liberal view an individualist only priority society have to thank for this, your views...and others. Bye now.

  • Good! Let us be individuals! It's not like anybody else knows how to live your own life better than you! God bless free will (He made it, by the way)!!!

  • Just to say. The Taliban did have reasons and sources for doing things they did. But the way in which they went about implement certain things, was incorrect. They construded hadith and verses of the Qur'an in many ways. This is why it seems odd. They were trying to implement Islam as in the Caliphate, back in the days of the Ottoman Empire and the ones that preceded it. But the implementation process was not in conjunction with Islam, therefore it went aray!

  • so how was afghansitan are u still there or u r back home i was born and raised in kabul i left afghanistan at 13 i miss afghanistan iam sure it is not the same i left back in 1989 and iam sure it is not the same we had good times there and it was fun

  • I'm back. Been back for 2 years, actually. Had to battle cancer after the taliban, but I won that fight too! When I was there, Maxim magazines became quality literature; the only female face I saw while I was there was our medic, and she looked like a man with boobs. I think men would be much calmer if they could see womens' faces in public. It would've done me some good.

  • Cop out. Faces mean nothing...so it is better to 'gaze' at women why? Men should cover up more. SO gross when you see hairy guys walking around in summer. The more covered you are the better you are protected from the sun in Summer...So muslims are better off...especially the Muslim women. The End.

  • I suppose by your logic it makes sense. In that part of the world, light skinned people are more desired so a tan wouldn't be so great. But it's so hot underneath those things! As white as she may be, I'd still prefer she didn't STINK!

  • wow nice song i can translate this song in farsi

brown eye girl ... farsi version is dukhtar chashm sia

pashtoo version is toor stergi jinay

  • That's pretty cool. I don't see any etymological similarities, though. Are the two languages related in any way that I don't immediately see?

  • pashtoo and dari are 2 diff languages with diff dialouges .. pashtoo's grammer is more like french and is very diff in every way from dari

  • Do they have the same origin like french and italian do? (which is latin, btw)

  • Pushto said to be derived from the Zend with admixtures from the neighbouring tribes.pushto is an indo-european language and it is writtin in the perso-arabic script and the ocabulary is borrowed from Ancient Greek, Arabic and english

  • on the other hand dari localy known also as farsi taken from darbar ( royal court)dari was the original language of Sassanids,

  • Very interesting. Thank you!

  • Hi Lenny, he dont sing it as good as joe egh !!

  • good that u know. oh and another thing... wen alexander invaded the europe, which is where all of ur american forfathers were from, afghanistan was one of very few countries in the world who had the force to strike a defence, other than iran and india.

  • oh and one more thing my fellow afghan hatin americans... if it wasnt for us afghans, u guys wudnt have the freedom u have today... just ask the russians.

  • If you look at the geopolitics of that time, Afghanistan wasn't really that much of a bulwark between Russia and US. It would be nice if the country could be like it was in the 60s & the 70s. The people had more liberty then, & the burka wasn't compulsory for the women.

  • it was good to see... but let me remind those americans who call afghanistan a dirt... we have 5000 yrs old history, how long has america been in existince? ... and dont forget ur hippies wud beg for visitors visa to stay in afghanistan in 50s and 60s and 70s... they didnt tink it was a dirt... not to mention afghanistan was known as the garden of the world.

  • great to see them enjoying the company of our Soldiers, and seeing that they are just as human... not some baby-killing war lords or something.

  • Does it matter, next day americans will fuck these afghans up.

  • Who knows? Maybe. These guys were members of the Afghan Security Forces, employed by our company. This video was made in early 2005. Since coming back, I heard that the army booted them out of our post because captured Taliban were found with rudimentary maps of the area inside the walls. Some good it would do them, since we were a mile into the open desert and anyone approaching, friend or foe, would be spotted long before arrival.

  • But since most of these Afghans are dirt poor, it's better we help them out than pound them into their already fine dust. I provided security for a medical goodwill mission west of Tarin Kowt, & those folks were hurting from simple, treatable things. One woman's leg had rotted off from diabetes. DIABETES, for God's sake!!!

  • p.s., afghans are notorious switch-hitters. They just abandon one side to join another at the drop of a hat. The old adage "if you cant beat em, join em" comes to mind. But that goes in reverse too. The Afghans were often indifferent to the Taliban, but get tired of occupation real quick. I think the last time an invader was successful was Alexander the Great. Afghanistans going to be real uphill battle the longer it goes on

  • I doubt it. Iran's not as concerted on Afghanistan as they are in supplying arms to terrorists in Iraq. The Taliban is dirt-poor, and their propoganda is more easily thwarted by the Americans

  • cool that is so cool

  • haha you guys aren't good at singing together but it was a nice scene to see =P keep it up!

  • Lol, good to see this kind of stuff.

  • Good to see that muslims and Americans can enjoy the new year together. I'd love to see more scenes like this.

  • I wouldnt

  • lol
