We got to use our phones at reception a couple times but that was it. They were always kept in a box; one for each platoon. During basic we got to use our phones about 4 times, but only for 10 or 15 min at a time. It all depends on your drill sergeants.

As far as shots, I dont remember exactly what shots we got but we do get a penicillin shot, and three or four others at reception. They honestly didnt hurt at all. The needles were super small.

As far as reception food: go to the main line

No way you get your cell phone at Ft. Benning! We got the chance to use the payphones but the lines were rediculously long so you were lucky if you got to make your phone call.

Just a healthy tip, SLEEP on the bus ride to Ft. Benning because you will not get hardly any sleep for the next few days.

I went through Basic/ITB at Benning 6 years ago in 05' so things might have changed a bit. Keep your head up and you'll be good! HOOAH!

lol there's a "fat" line at 30th AG chow hall and then there's a "healthy" line. I always got the healthy line, oh and to everyone going to Benning the morning you ship 'down range' for your shark attack, DO NOT eat a lot for breakfast chow....a lot of you will puke lol (If you go in the summer time at least)
