@HomeskooledVideo Well if so I don't think you can deny the sheer skill, talent, and star power that he had in dallas, and the NHL. There is no player that is liked by everyone, never has been, never will be. I get that. It's perfectly fine to hate someone based off their attitude, off ice behavior, whatever. But if you can't admire obvious skill simply because of those traits, then you are just being an immiture child.
@HomeskooledVideo you never watched star trek in your childhood? poor.... and no, my ass isn't that hairy as your mom's one. and now stop talking shit and GTFO
One of the most beautiful clips. Hes a legend. Not just one of the best Americans but one of the best all time. So glad he is back home. Lets go wings!
What a heartbreak it must be to consider leaving a franchise you have been a part of for over 20 years. Modano is one of my all time favorites, and he's such a classy guy. It's good that he can see how much we all appreciate him.
Such a class player. Im a Kings fan but I have always been a Modano fan. Ive always said it, 99% of NHL players have more class than 100% of NBA, NFL and MLB players. And they carry a fraction of the ego too. Awesome video
what a classy reaction by stars fan as they should to give much deserved goodbye to their best player in team history Mike Modano. Although i am a sens fan, for that night it would been good night to be a stars fan to appreciate the fact they had one of best player in league in Modano for past 20 yrs.. give my respect to Mike Modano on his great career with cup winnin yr of 99.
I am not a Stars fan. But I cant say I didnt get choked up watching this video!! Will have to say as someone stated in a earlier post. He has to be one of the best American born Hockey players ever!!
i m a montreal canadiens fan since a long time ago and have seen many games agaisnt dallas wich were really enjoying, has some players i knew were ending their career with their team this one was very interesting to see, good luck in your next career mr mike modano
I'm a Flames season ticket holder, I've seen alot of games and I always tell people Mike Modano had the best stickhandling/skating skills I've ever seen and a classy guy to boot.
Thanks so much for posting this. Videos still don't these moments justice. I was there so I know videos don't do this moment justice. I wish people actually knew what it was like to be there. Thanks again for posting this!!!
Thanks for capturing this from the inside. It was a fantastic night for Mike and all the fans. We love him so much ---- he can't retire. One 'Mo Year!
It truly was as emotional as you see and hear here. Keep in mind that this was even minutes after the end of the game. It was SO loud - almost drowning out the P.A.
Yet even more tear wrenching was the spontaneous eruption that occurred during the game itself. It was thunderous and LONG. The game was held up! It's at /watch?v=OQDDi5xI2sY though I assure you it was 3 times as loud as the TV mike recorded.
And after that Modano scored the tying - and then the winning goal. Intense. Just intense.
Goodbye Mike Modano...You are the greatest american born hockey player the NHL has ever known..you have been with the Dallas Stars since the were up in Minnisota as the Minnesota North Stars...your going to the hall of fame which is where you belong and we will all miss you..i was so sad last night :(
Never cared for modano. He retires a red wing not a star. fuck the bogus 1 day contract.
