  • FYI..I "Like"d the video, not because the boat was flooded, but because it is still floating. :)

  • What was the resolution? Did you make any design changes to help keep something like this from happening again?

  • saw a corsair on a trailer stopped at a quicky mart, shortly after researching about them. i have promised myself one someday ever since.

  • It appears the AMA's kept the boat afloat though. Which is pretty cool.

Did you have a bilged alarm installed? Certiantly a phone call from the marina no one wants to here.

I'd classify these as build issues though not design flaws.

  • If you watched this video......we'd love to hear your comments. Please comment!!!

  • Terrible event. I'm so sorry.

  • Can you please let us know how this happened. Was the boat at fault? Is it part of the C-36 problems.

    Thank you and good luck.

  • Hi JG,

Design flaw. My fiance' will answer more elaborately when he gets a chance. Until then, if you have a Corsair Tri check your rudder boot.

By the way, what other problems are you aware of?

    Thanks,

    Madeline

  • The rudder control rod goes through a pipe that is short and the rubber cover was only held on by a zip-tie, so it came off during the storm. The aft compartments did not drain to the bilge, so when water got in, the stern dropped until the pipe was at the waterline, and the 1.5-inch pipe brought in more water than the 0.5-inch bilge pump pipe could remove. The rear ama vents also had no valves and took on water, helping the stern to go down. This could have easily happened in following seas.

  • What happened? I can´t believe! did you capsized? A flowd?
