@electrictroy2010 the plans for the WTC were first brought forth in 1943, Groundbreaking for the World trade center started back in 1966. The building was completed in 1971. Buildings like the WTC take a long time to build. So will the freedom tower, The fact that it's going to be completed by 2013 means this building is going up pretty damn fast
@IamDayoldHate BUT if we had simply rebuilt the original towers, it could have been done in no time. Take the original schematics, and just re-erect the buildings a second time. Remember during WW2 we went from virtually no army or navy, to defeating Germany and Japan, in only 3.5 years

It's because of brilliant structures like these that areas have been allowed to be developed and revitalised. We should pay homage to these brilliant structures by rebuilding them the way they were. @electrictroy2010 the plans for the WTC were first brought forth in 1943, Groundbreaking for the World trade center started back in 1966. The building was completed in 1971. Buildings like the WTC take a long time to build. So will the freedom tower, The fact that it's going to be completed by 2013 means this building is going up pretty damn fast

When you look at that helicopter shot of the towers at the end, you can see how underdeveloped Lower Manhattan was and the Twin Towers were really the only things around like most of the tall structures of the 70's. It's because of brilliant structures like these that areas have been allowed to be developed and revitalised. We should pay homage to these brilliant structures by rebuilding them the way they were. @TheMinaLoi Now, the problem of free will is different. If god knows everything, that means he knew what set of choices you were going to make even before the creation of the universe. Since he is omniscient, that creates a paradox: He can't be wrong, so in turn, after you're born you're actually just following a predetermined path, thus only the illusion of free will exists.
If you indeed had free will, you could make different choices but then the god who created this world would be wrong.
