How to record electric guitar using Audacity pt 2 - Enabling VST's (Guitar Rig)

Hey dude I have guitar rig 3 I downloaded for free but i can't find the right dll file I need where is it located inside the Guitar Rig 3 file?

now i have my guitar plugged into my mixer, into the computer via USB, when i change the recording to my mixer and try to record, it says "Error while opening sound device. Please check the input device settings and the project sample rate." What do i do??

i cant hear anything in audacity when I opened guitar rig 4 in it. (I don't have a rig kontroller so I use asio4all.) could anyone help me to use it with asio4all? :/

How do you associate Guitar Rig 3 with Audacity? Guitar Rig 3 is in the list of effects but when I click on it, it doesn't open the Rig up.. Just a list of effects

This works for me but when I transfer the sound and chose a present in guitar rig the sound on audacity track suddenly disappears! I'm tired of these issues! nothing can be fixed with me :/

@leydj13 i saw the two videos and did what you said but there is no dll file in the directory. I installed it on my external hardrive and some first were on C:/ and some files were on G:/ but there it's the same thing when i go into a folder it just says documentation and stuff and i searched the whole thing but that didn't work help me please!

@realjuvelive - It came bundled with the Native Instruments Guitar Rig Session I/O interface I bought. It was $200 and it has been worth every penny!

hey bro i have guitar rig 4 and audacity, but the problem is that when im using audacity i click on effects tab and it doesnt have de native instrument or guitar rig obtion, i saw that the guitar rig4.dll is not inside the audacity's plugins file. what can i do ????

whenever i record audio, it doesnt come out clean, it comes out with alot of distortion.. and the settings are at default

i have already installed audacity 1.3 beta but when i check out the preference..there is no effects option to click on as same as you did.. also when I want to change the sound and go to effects same as you did to ur other video..i dont have an option to connect right to guitar rig 3..i followed all your instructions but buttons to click doesn't show..please advice..

@ogagbako - Have you added the guitar rig .dll file to your .vst plugins folder?

the amplitube metal plugings works on audacity? cause i saw you have the amplitube plugin on the audacitiy folder... hope you can help me with that

@mattconsul - yeah I'd imagine it is the same process. I've never tried it with Amplitube though. Look in your program files for Amplitube and see if they have a .dll vst plugin file that you can copy/paste into the audacity vst folder.

I had already tried that. But when I placed VST in the plugins folder, I didn't get all the different files such as "GuitarRig4.dll" or anything, just the "VST-bridge.dll".

You have anymore tips?
