Seinfeld.....and B Movie. What else has Jerry Seinfeld done? I mean really, it seems like he's just a delusion pretentious snob who doesn't understand that he's unemployed
@REV16665 Yeah, Bee Movie, B movie, whatever you want to call it. It was just a typical animated kid-flick, not awful but nothing I went out of my way to see. I never used to watch Seinfeld, I hated that Kramer asshole even before he was outed as a huge racist. I sort of feel like Seinfeld is only famous because he acts like he should be famous
@IntangibleIllusion79 isn't that a little ignorant to think? Just because he's not always doing something that is garnering attention by the popular mainstream, doesn't mean he's not doing anything. He also did stand-up, that's how he got his own sitcom in the first place (he still does stand-up). I'm not trying to bash you or anything, but I think you should do a little bit of research about Jerry before you come to that conclusion.
@IntangibleIllusion79 Almost every successful, funny sitcom since Seinfeld owes their funding and success to him and Larry David. They literally made a show about nothing. There would be no Arrested Development, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Curb Your Enthusiasm, 30 Rock, or the Office (UK and the earlier seasons of US). Jerry really never needs to do anything more in his life.
"I was joking" hahaha Yeaaaaaaah sure... amazing how Seinfeld cant accept he messed up. Reminds me Kramer in a way, tho he HAD to give that apology on Lettermans .
@Mundomundordz Wow you're funny, Seinfeld and Larry are good friends, he is just being witty during the whole show. And for you to event compare this to Kramers rage, so shallow.
I'm a great fan of Seinfeld since a child, and hold great reverence for Jerry -- increasing still this week as I watch interviews to see how humble he is. But this one is almost like a contrasting personality. The part where he asks Larry if he think he'll ever make another sitcom and Larry says "No" in this self berating manner really irks me. But, people are prone to adjust their behavior based on other peoples personalities. I guess this is just not the best side of a usually intelligent man.
It's so weird how Seinfeld is one of the least offensive comedians out there, but when people see him on Larry King (which I love to see, I think it's great) they think he's this crazy asshole. I think the two of them have a nice rapport, even though it may seem on the surface like there's some tension. That tends to happen between people who are normally very serious and comedians, not just Seinfeld and Larry King.
@eleventhousandfour Totaly agree, people think they know Seinfeld based on Larry Kings interviews. He is just being funny with Larry but to many he seems arrogant.
@ANNABECKDK Hmm, well u say that...but the only acclaimed piece of work was his tv sitcom which was a hit in america only because its full of everyday events that people can relate to full of jokes and punts that are obvious enough that americans can get it...its just quite a simple form of humour, too predictable to be very amusing at all...and wat has he done since he got cancelled, a few semi funny stand-ups...nah he is highly overrated, and not very funny...
@NGAT9 So you think that Americans are stupid? And did they become such a succesful (no, i know, they're far from perfect) nation in spite of or thanks to their stupidity? (Which comedians do you like, by the way?)
@REV16665 haha well they are a great nation that is and has always been run by a small elitist minority (full of intelligent politicians, scientists, industrialists etc), so the arguement that they are a great nation, hence the general public is intelligent doesn't quite work. The only point I was trying to make is that, alot of americans do not get other more subtle forms of humour, e.g. in britain, sarcasm is widely used and most americans just do not understant it.
@NGAT9 It's true, sarcasm and irony (esp. self-deprecation) are by no means American fortes. (And no German ones either, by the way.) Too much religion in the USA, i think.
@NGAT9 listen you limey, ever seen SEINFELD or LOUIS or CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, irony and sarcasm abounds. what do we get over here, Inbetweeners??! wow! fuckin snob.
i wish jerry would host someday!!!
