  • @MRDubya this idea isnt stupid but it is not his own. The American network of road is getting old and crumbling. Soon almost all roads in America will have to be redone and this is great option if you create a gas powered car/ magnetic hybrid you would not have to convert as many roads. Highways would be done first & the saving from that alone would be unimaginable. With the US economy the way it is this project would make millions of jobs for people just like the highway project did years ago.

  • You need to make that "power" happening between the magnet on top of the car, and the magnets beneath the road....INSIDE of the wheels. Imagine the magnets on the bottom fixed to the axel inside the wheel, opposing the magnet (on top) on the spinning wheels. Then it could spin itself.

  • I thought of this idea too...I suppose it'll work in theory.

  • so we make our road out of aluminum....you old bloot

  • troll physics

  • the real question still remains...magnets...how do they friggin' work?

  • Comment removed

  • whats the battery for?

  • @videomakingstudio

There isn't any batteries used in this demonstration. If you are referring to the silver cylinders on top of the car, those are also magnets. :)

  • k you get those tow trucks. make the thing on top that extends go in front of the car holding a powerful magnet, and put a piece of metal in front of the car between car and magnet.

  • its a good idea, it would cost billions to lay magnets under all roads, i bet you will have to pay magnet tax, there is no easy way out. also all those magnets under roads will change the way the earth moves and we will all be sucked out into space.what about putting magnets in the inside of the wheel hubs and reverse magnets that move closer to the other magnets when you put your foot on the gas peddle. may move the car along with no need for magnets in the road, my name is pat pending

  • better buy a rev ups!! xp

  • Just dangle a magnet in front of the car and attach both to a beam. Now the car is pulled by a magnet. :}

  • Dear sir, The video shows something different. This may probably be applicable to trains, just changing there rout structures by adding permanent magnets at the bottom, and trains will be able to speed with zero emission. Another benefit is that we can uplift and direct rout almost anywhere, it appears more efficient. Thank you. Good day:)

  • I applaud that you are entertaining the idea of propulsion through magnetism, but alas I beleive you are tackling the problem from the wrong direction. Though I WON'T call your idea stupid, I have to agree that this would mean trillions of dollars of retooling roads, and is therefore completely impractical. Even as a toy, you'd have to magnetise the entire track. Which... might be cool, but again... expensive. Thanks so much for sharing though. Keep it up.

  • looks like the trolls were speaking the truth

  • Brilliant

  • Hey try this instead of changing the roads, use the magnets to power the wheels, i have made plans already and drew them up, now i just need the money to build it. If my plans are correct, it should power the car without a problem!

  • @morrilljake fuck you haha I thought of taht today lol

  • This would work within cities! A small segment of the road dedicated to shuttles!

  • ever tried making a ufo from magnets dude.......

  • Too many scientists commenting here. Ya'll motherfuckers lying and making me pissed.

  • Troll Physics :D

  • Troll science :D

  • u commentators r fuckin cock suckers....its pretty cool hes not intenting roads and cars its just a toy..... u ppl r fuckin soooooooooooo dumb

  • anyone kknows how the car actually workss???

using this for a project...really interesting

how do you align the magnets?

    5/5 good work

  • thats pretty nice idea, i like t

  • Still have the issue of moving it through the 'gates' - it's not perpetual - yet.

  • wow! u just demo a dream i had of the future. the dream was about magnetic energy powered cars. the roads had to be magnetic while the engine was a magnet. cool. now i know dreams are messages of the future! thanks! i am going to work on my design.

  • i actually know how to biuld a magnet powered ENGINE :) i will not tell my sectrects (patened)

  • So it does work, i have to make a car in physics and i was thinking about making one similar to this

  • couldnt u use an electro magnet to b able to stop the car? like wen u turn the electromagnet on the car starts, and wen u turn it off the car stops

  • Lol you can make a free race track for your kids!

And its free to use and goed for 400 years !

  • no magets are expensive

  • wow, i am working on a magnetic track with a magnet powered car, except mine will be an oval and use high enegy strip magnets for the track.

  • you could make it so the car driving is not of the road but of a piece of metal that it's attracted to within the car. there for tires are moving forth towards the metal.

instead of making the streets metal...which may dangerous during electric storms :)

  • Looks like you may have something there, try magnatizing a strip of tin instead of aluminum and see if it will follow to the end of the track like the electro magnetic trains.

  • how would you stop it?

  • Your idea sucks.

You'd need to alter the entire structure of billions of miles of roads throughout the world by placing magents beneath the surface.

Okay for a toy, but has no legs for changing the world of transport.

    4/10

    Must Try Harder

  • And I bet thats what they said to Henry Ford when he started making cars LOL By the way, this is just a demonstration on how magnets can move something, its not necessarily designed to propel an automobile. please update your rating judged on this:)

  • Sorry mate. I was in a slightly cynical mood yesterday!

It did have a very tiny hint of dry british sarcasm about it, but yes it does come across as much more offensive than I had the right to be.

  • lol i had the same idea you pu both magnets facing each othe in the same poles riit?? thus causing propulsion??with the magnet on the vehicle diagnally ??

  • yes...but farther it pushes the less energy it gets

  • @MadAussieMatt

    His idea sucked.

You'd need to alter the entirety of billions of miles of roads through the world by placing asphalt on top of the surface.

Okay for a toy, but horses have legs and they hurt walking on that shit.

    4/10

    Must Try Harder

  • @bhetzlein LoL, Too True

  • @bhetzlein chill....

  • @bhetzlein Sorry I'm a little confused. His video was called magnet powered toy car. Where was the idea that this could be implemented into full-size in the video or description I must have missed it...?

  • @DarrenHuseyin1

The fact that it wasn't mentioned in the description or video does not mean real-world application shouldn't be a consideration. Anybody is free to have made that a talking-point.. MRDubya79 steered the conversation to real-world application (Perhaps you should have asked them the same question). MadAussieMatt's reply implied this may have real-world application but specified that it wasn't the main point of the video. They did not discourage the notion as MRDubya79 had.

  • @bhetzlein Who says it needs to be used for cars?

  • @MadAussieMatt stop this !!! its against nature

  • @MRDubya79 umad

  • @MRDubya79

they already have done that for high speed trains

  • @MRDubya79 you mother fucking candy fag, when we run out of oil it'll be too late to resurface the mother fucking road, because if there's no oil, there's no petrol

    resurface before oil runs out

    vs

    resurface after oil runs out

    take your pick, tiny tim.

  • Crazy speeeeed!!!

    Wow :-)

  • does it work without the aluminium plate?maybe plastic

  • Yep, just tried it today with a sheet of acrylic, works just the same. I have been working on a rotating model so stay tuned for more videos soon!!

  • very interesting, might make my grandson one!!

  • Might have to make it a bit bigger, I dont think he will fit in this one LOL
