  • Great theme song! the show was about Bufford Pusser a small town country sheriff who stood tall and fought crime and corruption in his home town and the surrounding countryside of McNairy county, Tennessee. elected into office in 1964 sheriff Pusser fought a ever growing mob of bootleggers,moonshiners and outlaws who used McNairy county as their base of operations. for 6 years sheriff Pusser walked tall & layed down the law. lat this song tell all sheriff Pusser WALKED TALL & never backed down.
