@icanviewanything Hi, on our online courses you can watch the tutorial videos at anytime you like and you have access to them for a full year after the course finishes. On top of these you receive weekly 1-2-1 feedback videos on your own tracks from your pro producer tutor. If you want to find out more about how the courses work please get in touch with our course advisor at luke [at] pointblanklondon [dot] com or +44 (0) 20 7729 4884.
@bluejes2007 Hi there, on the courses there are private forums and weekly webchats where you can ask your tutor anything you like including remix related questions. You will be working on making a track throughout the course and he will also give you weekly video feedback on this. If you wish this track can be a remix.
We also do a specific remixing course... check our youtube channel and you will find a playlist of free videos from the course to check out.
@bluejes2007 if you want to talk through your options, our course advisors are happy to help. Contact luke [at] pointblanklondon [dot] com or telephone (+44) (0) 20 7729 4884
I have a korg M3, and the music editing software looks rather similar to that layout / template u have up,does taht mean i can create dubstep or somehow incorporate it into a dubstep setting?
Nice lead sound, good detail on working with analog, will be spreading the word on my blog, particularly liked the instant stop start comment. To see unison being used to create something I might use was also good, I make dubstep quite often and watching this give me more ideas to make my own leads, not use presets, Thanks
@gcnubian Using this technique is simply a less fiddly way to jam with the effect of varying note length and play with ideas. You could even try assigning the effect to a midi control to give you the full knob-twisting experience!
@MattyMatt761@MattyMatt761 Hi. The dubstep course is not for complete beginners... it is aimed at people who are competent on Ableton and already putting whole tracks together. If you are new to Ableton, we recommend you take a look at our Ableton Producing course first.
@pointblankonline I started out on ableton a short while ago, consider myself a complete beginner to electonic music and most of the video's i've seen from pointblank I'd consider very logical and understand fully with perhaps a minor "wait what.." play back here and there.. So I wouldn't say its all to difficult till yet
@MattyMatt761 TONS! Ableton is a tool, not a shortcut! I hate it when people ask that. It applies to all professions... Its ok if you just want to be the guy changing oil, or flipping burgers. But wouldn't you eventually want to be the guy installing a new engine, or dress a souffle, or know the difference between an Ab13 and an Ab6/9? I'm not trolling, I'm just saying that we're trying to contribute to the industry, not make it worse.
@Cadillax Hi, thanks for your query. We offer courses for all levels, from beginner to masterclass. I'd suggest you drop one of our course advisors a line and they'll be able to steer you in the right direction.
If you have any more questions please don't hesitate to ask.
@jasonh213 Ableton Live is pretty amazing. The scope of what you can achieve is almost infinite. I'd advise checking out the official Ableton website and they can direct you to your local retailer. Failing that you can probably find somewhere to purchase it online.
@pointblankonline Is there a way i could pay for the courses and get them as videos? or does it have to be live?

What is the point of using a MIDI effect for note length? Isn't it much easier to simply adjust the actual note length in the piano roll...?
