  • hello blog news : suro invasion

  • @DEAZHARMONICA

I never called you a nazi or a nashi, I have no argument with anyone who just behaves like civilised people are supposed to. Who the hell called you a nazi? I'll beat him/her to shit!

I dunno how you like eighties Euro-techno-industrial-whatever. I generally hate it, but this one I like, And it tells quite clearly of what I think.

Now, YT does not allow direct URLs to anything (thank you so very much, fuckers). But just use this as a searchword: People are people official video

  • @Joonavainio

  • @DEAZHARMONICA, I would be honoured to convey my thanks to you personally for the assistance and friendship of the Russian people and Roscosmos in the recent succesful launch of a Progress supply rocket to the ISS.

*offers a virtual blue silk aviator's scarf*

  • @kittypie070

Nice touch. Pilots are a special brother/sisterhood that knows no boundaries. And so are people, just people, in general. I told you earlier I literally cried over the stories of Mannerheim Cross Knights. One particularly touching part was when this one guy described how Soviet soldiers saluted them when leaving the territory we never actually lost by warfare. They respected each others as soldiers. As people. Who the fuck should care what Stalin or Molotov say?

War is never changed..."

  • @DEAZHARMONICA

My thoughts exactly. Some just try to ruin every possible spark of making amends and friendship.

They can rot in all Hells. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance against trolls.

  • @DEAZHARMONICA

Well, you see, there are about 400 000 Karelians and their descendants to the right over their property. That was guaranteed to them in the Paris peace. Colonising an occupied territory is illegal. I have nothing against Russian people, as long as they can behave like you do.

And my significant other would own a huge horse/cattle ranch in Karelia by her birthright. I don't want to argue with you, just trying to explain why some Finns, especially Karelians, are a bit pissed.

  • Oh, I see. A self hating German who is pro-Soviet and nicknamed himself with a Middle Eastern nickname.

  • Comment removed

  • Don't worry, dear. I won't go down that easily. This guy wants war when this whole song is pacifist.

Well, welcome to the Raate road, fucker. We can include Germans there, too. They paid the Soviet war machine, after all. And I just wished people could enjoy this song.

But you know... "they gave up war because..."

I won't let a possible friendship with a Russian comrade be ruined by an obvious troll. No worries.

"I'm no fascist, I AM A DEMOCRAT and hate this fucking war!"

  • OK, who the crap marked my buddy as "spam"?

  • You know, sometimes I simply cannot resist bad puns. It is a Finnish trait. Sometimes the left is right. And when you have lost the right all you have left is the right.

"All we have left is this shit, but is it right?"

    -Vladimir Iljitsh

  • I am trying to make friends with a Russian here, and someone is trying to ruin it, Which is right?

Or if we use puns, even left can be right. Depends on how you look at it.

  • confidences? and everybody else should be shot? i remember a sentence by goebbels, which would also fit you: "who is a jew? - this is MY decision!"

  • @joonavainio a very interesting think you say about yourself on your profile: "(you are someone, who) tolerates everything - except all the intolerant should be shot." interesting sentence - it could be been out of stalins mouth himself. is it your decision, who is tolerant or not? or do you think, that somebody who isn't as tolerant as or isn't it in your way can not be it? are you one of these folks, tolerating only people who are as tolerant as you - what shall mean - sharing exactly your

  • @crazyachmed1985

As anyone, according to my judgement, is free to do whatever as he or she doesn't hurt others.

I am sorry if you do not understand black humour. That is your problem, thank gods of Kobol not mine. Have a good day and enjoy the fine song instead of trying to generally piss decent people off.

  • @Joonavainio

instead of self defending. Treated by the allies as an allie of germany, finnland had to pay up to the highest reparations of all countries bounded with the nazis and had to abondon great territories to the soviet union.

maybe you should read more of history then the official propaganda in the school books. being a fascist does not belong categorical to your party membership.

  • @crazyachmed1985

No, boy. It doesn't need a fascist to read history. But it takes a clueless fuck to read it the way Nashis want. Please do read the Vilnius declaration of OSCE from 2009 or so condemning stalinist bastards just as bad as nazis (Goodwin card used).

I simply cannot believe how some fucktard is trying to troll people who want to make amends and be at peace and be nice at each other despite the past hate. Well, I guess it takes all kinds. Kusipäitä on joka junaan.

  • @crazyachmed1985

What kind of fucking idiot you think I am? I am Finnish, and my significant other is Karelian. So I do know how the shit went. Don't you dare come to tell me any bullshit. Please.

Finland had to pay the reparations because Soviets LIED the Finnish attacked. Look up Mainila shelling, and open some history book written by a neutral.

Finns ceased to be neutral in 11.30.1939 when Soviets allied with Germans attacked.

  • @Joonavainio

excuse me very much - I very like people becomming unpolite just because they are sitting in front of a computer monitor and not looking in somebodys face - these are the people, which are affraid to open their mouths in real life.

maybe you know, that finnland and the ussr signed a peace treaty in 1940, which ended the winter war. but also in peace nazi-germany stationated troops in finland and finnland joined them attacking the ussr in 1941 - which ment an offensive action

  • @DEAZHARMONICA

Leningrad is (was) not forever. But I understand if you feel a sense off loss, comrade. Nobody likes to lose his/her home even if it was Hell.

  • @Joonavainio

  • @DEAZHARMONICA

Oh, okay then. I agree. You can really feel the guy is lost and lonely there. A very touching song.

Sorry for not replying in your language. I would just make a fool of myself. But machine translations are enough to understand what someone's saying. Although the results are often quite hilarious.

  • @Joonavainio

  • @DEAZHARMONICA

I'm just a bit sad some of the people here want to make this an issue on war between our countries. This is a beautiful song, and really gripping. An evil minded person might see it as ridiculing Russians (or at least Soviets). But to me it speaks only the poetry of a lost and lonely individual. Not of countries beating each other to shit. And it also has a message of hope amid all the uncertainty.

You are a living proof there actually CAN be "good Russkies".

  • @Joonavainio

  • @DEAZHARMONICA

You're welcome Sir or Lady or whatever. You wouldn't believe how much hatemongers we have even among our own. It is very tiring sometimes. Be them pro Finland or pro Russia. I think everyone should read the Black Book of Communism IN ADDITION to equivalent books of the crimes of the West. To get a balanced view. I think I should use a sort of Russian reversal of a Bond movie title: From Finland with love.

  • and do not forget - finland in this times was a FASCIST regime, ALLIED with HITLER-germany - WAR was the ONLY way to conquer!

  • @crazyachmed1985

Excuse me, dear useful idiot (remember who coined that term?). The majority in Finnish parliament were SOCIAL DEMOCRATS.

They still didn't like the thought of Soviets invading Finland. Especially as they were allied with nazis when they attacked. Read some history books, please. Other than those issued by Soviet propaganda or nowadays by nashi minded panslavic fuckers.

Finland as a country was never allied with Germany. We just had a common enemy. Thanks to Soviets.

  • we shouldnt forget! 30 thousend ! towns and villages which were completly destroeyed in the WW II. but the ussr did it - the ussr fought evil! it wasnt the regime, it were the soldiers who lost their lifes and blood for our freedom and peace and the world has to be thankfull for this in eternity.

  • no - its just about a guy coming home - and this he called home is gone. you can say bout the ussr what you want - but i studied history - in GERMANY - and they told us - and it is true - that the end of the ussr is one of the biggest catastrophies of the last 500 years. why? cause the ussr was 45 years PEACE in europe - the longest time in europe we ever had. cause the ussr fought HITLER - without he would rule over europe and asia - there were 20 million ussr-citizens, who left theire life!

  • This is not about Soviet Union or Finland, this song is about Freedom.

  • that Finland is the only country allied to Hitler and not missed areas. the difficult years of the Cold War democracy and prosperity enjoyed without the bother anyone else .. This is because Stalin was not so bad all you want to believe

  • In World War II, Finland for its own reasons, allied with Germany and Hitler! This gave Stalin the right to punish Finland and nobody in the West can disagree or complain.

preferred a different way, gave the Finnish full independence, with only one condition, not an ally with America and NATO ..

  • I love Finland

  • I love finnish music, it's always deep even if it's the Leningrad Cowboys. -.o

  • @psychoticXdoll

Yeah it's deep if it is Finnish OR Leningrad Cowboys!

Maybe the same, but this tune is BEAUTIFUL, it's the Scandinavian longing, and especially the Finnish..

Really love it as I also have connections in Finland, and learned how to get them going, due to language problems,

My best time and memories were in this country..So long ago..

    Love you all, Finnish people!!

  • fuckin awesome

  • @grimofhell @Szgerle

nazism wasn't any kind of socialism, the 'socialist' part of 'national socialism' was just window dressing, in the same way that the DPRK is neither democratic nor for the people.

  • Stop discussing about Socialism vs. Capitalism... Just shut up and listen to this underrated masterpiece...

  • @wmo1801 I agree. Seems no matte where I go, folks can never leave each other alone. It's really sad.

  • Whats the name of the lead singer?

  • @ryank939 Lead singer is Jore Marjaranta

  • Kill all faux commies

  • @chinary8 fake commies?

  • @Trillios ]

Yes, these people like Kim Jong Il and Hu Jintao who prentend to be communist, but really are just running mafia states. I call them faux commies. And no, I'm not a communist.

  • @chinary8 i agree and you would be correct :) and i am a "commie"

  • Chilling. Great voice, a story to tell, good music and soultouching pictures. Thats all, but thats what you can't find within all thes "Popstars".

Bewegend.

  • 40 people didn't get their Leningrad.

  • Wow this is so cool. So they're like the Blues Brothers Finn/Russian counterparts?

  • @InhumanEnglishman666

As for Blues Brothers, something like that. As for Finnish/Russian, they are not Russian at all, but strictly Finnish. They have occasionally performed with the Red Army Choir for laughs, though.

  • Whatever this song is about, it is NOT about the war between Soviet Union and Finland. Which Soviets started (again). It is just about a guy who feels kinda lost when there is no communist totalitarian regime anymore to tell him what to do even in simplest things. A sense of loss of a slave losing his master. Now he has to learn to live as a free man, and it feels weird to him.

So why not just quit the bickering about the war? And yes, Finns still refused to attack civilians in Leningrad.

  • @Joonavainio are you fucking kidding communism was awful but russians are not free after yeltsin unless they are lucky enough to be rich

  • @EVERYTHINGISINUSE

No, I am not kidding. Please note that I said that's one interpretation of the song and it's imaginary protagonist's thoughts. Not necessarily my thoughts.

  • @Joonavainio Ah, So thats the whole undermining Point of their 2 Movies with Vladimere/Moses.

  • @AgroCocky86

Dunno. Poetry and prose is always open to interpretation. And you gotta admit these guys are fuckin weird. All I can say is: enjoy whatever you get outta it.

  • @wickedjoel Not funny when he's starving :( I'm communist, but even I know when the government has gone too far. No one can rob me of my common sense, neither the corrupt democracy nor the strict communism and much less the oppressive monarchy which is what we see here.

  • I don't think this video is about Stalin in particular, seems to be about a revolutionary expressing disappointment at what happened to the union after their dream of a better future crumbled, specifically after Lenin lost power

  • What is the name of the singer and why was he replaced? He is really good!

  • Growing up in the "Cold War" in the USA I have been delighted by every song I'ved viewed by this group. However, this song made me weep. Satire? I have never found mass extermination much of a satirical topic. The Lenigrad Cowboys are the best at what they do. Thank you guys!!! And much thanks to commentor who wrote "even Stalin died under Stalin."

  • if you walk around in Russia with hair like this you will be jumped and beaten

  • one of my favourite songs

  • at this time people were suffering from the causalities of WWI and hundred years of Czar rule and civil war. communism made that country from an agriculture country to the number one country in prosperity, industry, technology and education, besides the USA. thats not an opinion thats a fact

  • @SanShineDestruct You should recheck your facts. Hundred years of Czar rule and civil war? we not fight civil war until 1917. Where hundreds of years of civil war? Monarchy around much longer than 100 years..

  • @SanShineDestruct

Yeah, and that's why the Soviet Union doesn't exist anymore and the countries you claim were behind them like Britain, France, Germany, etc still exist. Right.

  • @doctorpsycho1960 Its not removed -.- wait I removed it myself, I read 1 comment wrong and started randomly cursing at him.

  • @doctorpsycho1960 :

Well, y'know...Europeans don't need the word 'Finland' among the tags of this video. In Europe Aki Kaurismäki is a well known and widely acknowledged director because of his outstanding yet sometimes controversial movies.

Frankly, I have no idea why he chose this historical footage for the video.

Anyway, I love Aki Kaurismäki and the Leningrad Cowboys.

    Peace and Greetings

  • These guys are better than the scorpions

  • @makalavena

Yeah, maybe but they're Finns! Big Sweat!!!

This is a very beautiful song which really catch the Finnish(and also Russian) temper,

:( RIP all those killed under Stalin's fascist rule. Long live the Lenin dream.... thank God another tyrant like Stalin is dead.

  • @grimofhell LOL, noone died cause of stalins rule, he just wanted to conquer europe so his "rule" would matter in other countrys, after Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact he could only conquer less that half of Europe cause Hitler started to whore, and then Hitler attacked Stalin before Stalin had time to do it, so they started Germany Act, there was alot of countrys n stuff. and where i am going with this anyway?

  • @mumisfits no one died in Stalin's rule?? -_- go back to school

  • @grimofhell stalins rule didnt do anything at all, rule wat communism, stalin tried to expand it, that killed people, rule was just push to do it.

  • @persealasti You sound fascist in the sense of being intolerant. Get along with everyone dude. Shape a new world based on good positive things. No capitalism found in your democracy and no oppression found in every government and no fear and hatred found in every religion.

  • @persealasti 3rd worse american capitalism

  • @persealasti .....pls bub dont pest the calm atmosphere here with your manipulated fascist opinions, ok?

  • @grimofhell stalin, hitler, all the same shit. :(

  • @eisenfell It's a good thing their both dead. I wish that the Soviet ppl would have been more brave as they were against Tsar and get rid of Stalin to move on with the common workers dream.

  • @eisenfell

    No.

They're not the same at all. Welcome to 6th Grade World History.

  • @grimofhell

He banned dying but all those stupid capitalists kept defying his orders!!

  • @Szgerle Seriously?? So...where does the NKVD come in? what about Stalin's death lists, written by himself. He was a tyrant and you know it, if not go research it, if your in America you won't learn it in school, they want you to think communism is to blame, not Stalin. Your an embarrassment to the communist ideology, I blame Stalin for being a fascist, even the central committee of the party wanted him dead. Who cares if he defeated Hitler, true revolutionary communists DIDNT want war.

  • @Szgerle The true revolutionary ideology was to end the war with Germany, destroy land and profit and have a genuine control of industry to empathize the newly reformed socialist society. Communism isn't built with war in mind, that's why the Soviet Union fell, the cold war over pushed their capabilities and couldn't finance it anymore, hence fourth the Russian Federation. I hope that someday socialism raises again and takes these fascist governments by storm. This is the truth, not propaganda.

  • @grimofhell

You forget that nazi germany was socialist too. Also, communism as an experiment failed at the moment of the Kronstadt uprising.

  • @Szgerle It didn't failed, the Soviets still came on top after the rebellion and that stage wasn't communism it was part of a large series of armed insurgencies against the government forces and for your information Nazi Germany was National Socialist, not a communist type of socialism. Your argument is invalid.

  • @grimofhell

it failed because bolshevism is cancer and betrayed its own ideals at Kronstadt. If you defend communism you are a raging idiot.

  • @Szgerle I'm not communist and if your defending democracy your one half of an idiot sell out.

  • @grimofhell the difference between Stalin and Hitler : Hitler was racist, Stalin didn't care about race before killing

  • @CyrilleParis Correct. Stalin targeted selected lower class minorities, which in this case were millions of people, as a method of social engineering.

  • @grimofhell

That's not true at all. Stalin targeted the HIGHER class minority in the process of dekulakization. Kulaks were the rich plantation owners of Feudal Russia. It was an essential effort for collectivization.

  • @yakooza He targeted more than the Kulaks. He used the pretext of the Kulaks to break the backbone of the Ukrainan People who were still leaning towards left anarchism or Ukraine Independence regardless of itrs ideological background. But the reason for the mass starvation was because the plan didn't succeed. The Ukraine peasants started destroying food stocks rather than have them used by stalins collectors and rather choose sarvation.

  • @yakooza "dekulakization" is a mere excuse, completely insufficient to explain the pongrom suffered by so many, entirely different people.

    Stalin pursued:

    - Trotskyists

    - communist competitors and rivals

    - "Kulaks"

    - priests, believers etc

    - anyone who had been accused (rightly or wrongly) to NKVD as "enemy of the people".

Some historians say 15.000.000+ people died in "gulag"s, almost as many as the victims of WWII. When Hitler attacked USSR, he knew Stalin had killed most of his own generals.

  • @Periergos81 Don't twist the facts. Many historians claim that Stalin killed 1,5 bln people. Himself. Just in Moscow alone. Just in 1937.

  • @lioshenka 1,3 BILION is the population of China, TODAY. It is impossible that Stalin had killed so many Russians back then, otherwise there would be no Russia today.

If you mean 1,5 MILLION people, only in 1937, it sounds quite possible.

Anyway, numbers don't change the facts:

no matter if you kill 1,2,3, or 2 million people, you are still a murderer.

  • @mumisfits

sometimes people like you forget the Kulaki's extermination and the politics purgations where lots of people died...and to go to school...:P

  • @mumisfits

Stalins rule killed more people than the whole nazi germany.
