@CK2033 There is no such thing as an "easy" language. That factors down to your native language and your learning capabilities. Say, a person that speaks a romance language such as French can learn Spanish or Italian more "easily" than English. The same thing applies to; Slavic, germanic etc.
Of course, his Cantonese is very good because he has immigrated to Hong Kong for a long long time. The pronunciation and the way he speaks is 99.99% Hong Kong local.

It's freaky to see any non-Chinese speaking canto because it's such a hard language to learn... 6 different tones - get the tone of any single word wrong & it becomes incomprehensible.
BTW - canto is mono-syllabic, so that's a whole lotta different tones in a sentence.
Tone generally doesn't matter in English, so is therefore easier to learn. When Chinese people mimic English speakers gabbling, they go "lo lo, do do" in a monotone.

Anyway, it sounds slightly more old and developed than Mandarin. And I like the slurring of some of the words that is used in speech. But it's indeed the hardest Chinese dialect, with 7 tone marks!

Anyway, it sounds slightly more old and developed than Mandarin. And I like the slurring of some of the words that is used in speech. But it's indeed the hardest Chinese dialect, with 7 tone marks!

@TheDarkness852 um. basically it the same either way. for what is language anyway? it's just a method of communication. how do we communicate? by making sounds which are able to be understood to the person you're trying to communicate to.
it's all subjective. just because english makes sense to you, that doesn't mean mean it won't sound like it was "created by people making random noises" to a non-english speaking person.

Wow. Just like a native speaker, no accent, correct inflection, everything....and he learned it as a grown up. Cantonese is one of those langugues that you speak it fluently or don't speak it at all becuase nobody will understand you and you will sound like a fool.

@bananian Mandarin is starting to become a international language apparently and when it does, Cantonese could be likely to become an international language too. More and more people are starting to learn mandarin in places such as England and other countries.

Its not so rare finding a brithish guy speaking cantonese,since Hongkong were british colony-british domain,its quite easy for chinese people to learn any kind of languages,but in the other hand, foreingers learning chinese its just fucking imposible,to learn it perfecttly...far away,Not even if you are a chinese writing profesor,chinese languages is so complex at the same time so rich and colorfull ,and easy to explain you meaning without saying a lot...thanks for posting.

Actually, he said he came to Hong Kong in 1978. At first his Cantonese was not very good, but he gradually mastered it.
