  • @historicallyfiction you had to say it...

  • who would dislike such a thing for god's sake !

I never swore on any comment, but here is from me to you a big " **** YOU " dislikers.

  • Look alive people, this is one of the best songs on Earth!

  • @Ahksmar or on mars.

  • *-*

  • Some one replaced spike with inspector gadget in the music picture

  • Its bebop with some fusion elements

  • @iop223

It's Bebop with some Cowboy to be precise.

  • Everyone stop being nazis over what type of jazz this is.its jazz, its the last genre that should be categorized.

  • this isn't free jazz, just plain and perfect bebop

  • My god I've just discovered the Seatbelts have a song that isn't tank and I'm loving them all.

  • @TheJaShippo check out, spokey dokie, digginn my potato, sax quartet, mushroom hunting..god listen to every single album they have man they´re just plain delicious

  • When I actually think about it, my family put very subtle jazz influences on me. And now than I'm playing the Tenor Sax, I'm glad they did.

  • Is this considered to have a melody, I've heard from someone (mom) that songs like this do not have melodies, and I don't know how to counter that statement.

  • @Iluvrocket yes. This is considered a melody. The melody is called the "head" when played in jazz. It is generally played twice and improvised solos follow. The head is then, generally, repeated twice again. Of course, many jazz players stray from this bare formula by adding intros, outros, and other stuff :D

  • NOT free form

  • This isn't free form jazz by the way guys.

  • Free-form jazz guys.

    Free-form jazz.

  • I just acquired a taste for free form jazz

  • Cowboy bebop is so amazing I consider it its own genre already

  • Inspector Gadget, reporting in

  • @bigmanpigman the seatbelts have musicians from Japan, New York, and Paris.

  • @AGV133 2 thumbs up? (for your comment) damn uneducated people-

  • According to the jazz messengers page this is performed by the New York Musicians not the seatblets

    drums - Bobby Previte

    keyboards - Mark Soskin

    bass - Booker King

    guitar - Stu Cutler

    tenor sax - Paul Shapiro

    trumpet - Steven Berstein

  • 2 PEOPLE DON'T HAVE EARS

  • I dont think 99% of the people listening to this actually understand how dirty these guys are, sax solo and piano solo are absolutely incredible

  • 2 dislikes? damn communists

  • @AGV133

    +10000000000000000000000

  • I love jazz and try to play it on drums for years but I just cant keep my feet and hands moving at independent timing from each other. but I digress

  • fuck .... yea

  • best song i liked from this show was i want it all back by seatbelts i think

  • where did you get this box set, I want ti

  • 1 guy got a missclick

  • @Mdnightail Now 2. They obviously don't know great music when they hear it.

  • The coolest soundtrack for an anime! Ever!

  • I kinda find it funny how this is NY rush when... Earth is almost completely demolished in the show.

  • Cowboy Bebop is so...*jazzy*.....

  • @marcooelioo Classy is a better word.

  • zero dislikes.

  • @chunkypoo28 one dislike cause myfaggot friend likes tobust myballs. fuck you dj

  • I'm in a RUSH!!!

  • You have to be a fucking asshole to hate this song.

  • Was this from the part where they were chasing after Ein or when Spike was falling toward the planet in the swordfish with no gas?

  • lol zero dislikes

  • Comment removed

  • @historicallyfiction The people that just hate jazz knew this was too awesome to watch.

  • i love that how great the music is, nobody hates in these comments

  • @ donleone try joshua redman. he's the sideman for the seatbelts and his solo work, although classic has a similar sound.

  • Hah, I like how even the album cover is badass. spike doesnt mess around does he?

  • can anyone recomend some other artists who play a kind of jazz similar to this?

  • @DonLeone /watch?v=qxeb0cwjE8U

  • its just a calmer version of rush... beautiful.

  • Comment removed

  • @vongolacollege And ruin everything? No thanks.

  • i hope the live action movie there making in the future will be good :o i dont want anyone to ruin such an awesume series

  • @katc66 They SHOULD get Yoko Kanno to compose the music and reform the Seatbelts, but they won't.

My guess is that the music just won't sound right to me as it never does.

  • it even says on the anime: " the work which becomes a new genre itself will be called.... COWBOY BEBOP!!!!!!" rock on seatbelts!!!!

  • @smackthatmule2 Too bad they disbanded at the end of the show.

  • WowzaBoyz : Yep 4 sure :D !

  • this is the brass version of rush right

  • @vongolacollege lol that would ruin it.......

  • I can easily see me fighting in marvel vs capcom 2 with this in the background.

  • This version is actually by the New York Musicians. The SEATBELTS version is on Yoko Kannos ablum entitled Cowboy Bebop OST 1. That version is on youtube as well.

  • cowboy bebop got me into jazz

  • the bass line is awesome!

  • Wow! I don't normally listen to this stuff, but this was awesome!

  • amazing trumpet solo

  • Chris Potter and Nicholas Payton? Yes!

  • @aikaalisson Is this really Payton playing here?!? I can't find out!

  • best anime music from

    cowboy bebop... of course!

    samurai champloo....again, of course!

    outlaw star

    gundam seed (& destiny)

and code geass maybe if you have that taste

  • add trigun to taht list ;D

  • oh my goodness they need to make a cowboy bebop 2 or something, bring in more of this type of music. :D

  • jazz pwns over all the crap on the radio today... put this back on.

  • um there happen to be plenty of jazz stations out there if you look for them xP

  • not where im at..

  • maybe in harlem but not california

  • @fullmetalkunai67 there arent any jazz stations in harlem either

  • sorry my bad i just thought there would be since jazz was really popular in harlem at one time

  • @fullmetalkunai67 ny city is one of if not the jazz center of the world....of course there's jazz in harlem

  • bebop... truly the most elevated musical genre humanity has yet cultivated

  • @goldtogreysmoke elevated? it's got more drug addicts than any other musical subculture! What are *you* smoking?

  • What I love about bebop is, the choice of music, the atmosphere and ability to be unique against other anime.

    Spike still lives!.. *twitch*

  • damn i want the sheet music for this

  • Cowboy Bebop revitalized my love for de blues and introduced me to Jazz. <3 Bebop forever.

I think the jazz/blues combo gave me a taste for scotch however... hmmm... :D

  • anyone notice how when you watch cowboy bebop, you suddenly acquire a taste for jazz?

  • Which is a good thing!

  • no doubt.

  • damn right i did, why do you think my mp3 is filled with miles davis and this sound track XD

  • yeah, but dont you feel you're more "complete" now? a sense of class has been obtained :P

and bebop is a sub genre from jazz i think more people here are into bebop. :D

  • well, yeah! never said it was a bad thing...

  • @WowzaBoyz JAZZ FUCK YEAH!

  • @WowzaBoyz YES! i need jazz bands like this! care to help find some?!

  • @WowzaBoyz

YEah... i did. I even bought the sheet music for it. I play sax but i didnt get into jazz until i heard them play.

  • @WowzaBoyz Jazz is an easily acquired taste anyone who's exposed to it gets rolled up in the mess xP

  • @WowzaBoyz Even having a taste for jazz already won't make you immune to wanting more..haha :P

  • @WowzaBoyz Jazz is pretty amazing, never hear any jazz I never liked really, and all of the stuff they have on CB is amazing anyway.

  • Indeed.

It's a bad analogy, but it happened (For me) the same with Samurai Champloo.

I got a rather nice taste for Mellow, Relaxing Hip - Hop Beats.

  • @WowzaBoyz I sure did

    XD

  • @WowzaBoyz ive always had taste for jazz. bebop just made it better XDD

  • @brownpearlprincess11 Why exactly would you reply to a post from a year ago?

  • @Killbore1 i didn't even realize it was from a year ago hun.

  • @WowzaBoyz I think it depends. I don't really like the smooth jazz genre, but cowboy bebop made me enjoy the hard bop and bebop jazz genres. It has a good motion to it.

  • @WowzaBoyz thats how i found this group....been lookin up their music ever since smh...i tru;y feel like i been living underneath a rock....they are INCREDIBLE

  • @WowzaBoyz A taste that I kept my friend.

  • @WowzaBoyz It gets even better if you watched Hey Arnold! too.

  • oh, and alice coltrane!

  • coltrane,

    sun ra,

    and pharaoh sanders!

  • this is the best chase scene music, always did the trick in bebop

  • просто савршено!

  • In love.

I'd love to know other artists like The Seatbelts who play like this. Fast paced kind of jazz.

  • Hear, hear. I love bebop jazz.

  • Look up some Coltrane. Pandora will definitely lead you in the right direction.

  • Well, it fits in pretty well with the title of the show: this is bebop jazz. Try artists like Charlie Parker and early John Coltrane. To be fair, though, this has a more modern bent in composition structure, so I'm not certain about modern groups who play with this style often.

  • Thanks. Unfortunately I just recently found the wonderful world of jazz so I'm looking for some good jazz musicians to listen to.

  • Roy Hargrove, Courtney Pine. they are quite similar to this style

  • clifford brown, john coltrain, miles davis, sonny rollins, warren vache, dizzy, louis, marian McPartland, doc severenson(not sure about spelling) thelonius monk.

  • Those are all great recommendations but really check out the absolute must:

Kind of Blue - Miles Davis. The gathering of many jazz giants. If there's any must listen to album of jazz: Kind of Blue is it.

  • How could I forget THAT album! It's technically not bebop, but hell if that matters with this album.

  • This Kinda reminds me of Roy Hargrove and his band. Roy Hargrove is a trumpetter

  • Nicholas Payton - Nick @ Nite

Donald Byrd - Stepping into Tomorrow

Bobby Hutcherson - Montara (The Roots Remix)

    Ronnie Laws - Tidal Wave

  • Man this is still my favorite!

  • Smirk & then look to the side.

Trust me, you'll feel dangerous :]

  • Dude frickin add me as a friend XD

  • By the way...that's Chris Potter on tenor.

  • Anyone know where I can get the sheet music for this? Preferably the bassline.

  • Beautiful.

  • rush is better the other version

  • OH YEAH!! thats defently going on my playlist!

  • hey does anyone knows what the name of the song called? when fayes listening to the radio??

  • if your talking about from the movie its COSMIC DARE

  • Nope doesn't predate Masada . . . a good majority of their best work was done before this came out . . . my mistake :0

  • damn she's good . . . I hear Diz and Bird in that first riff then the the drums start and the main line comes in sounds kinda like 60s lounge/big band then if descends and you can even hear something that sounds a little like John Zorn's Masada (though I think this predates most of Masada's work, maybe can't remember).

  • Ahh, this song is so awesome. So swinging. I can immediately picture the crazy action scenes (like the space fighting scenes and stuff) with this music.

  • couldn't have put it better myself hehe.

  • I love this song, but I like the remix version of the song with more saxophones. ;D

  • Remix with more saxophones?? Where did you find that?

  • I think he means the song Rush. It's the same tune but performed by a big band as opposed to a combo.

  • In that case he sure makes one badass Inspector Gadget!

  • lol no he does look like inspector gadget

  • Is it just me, or does spike look a bit like Inspector Gadget in that picture?

  • thats weird i do to. but i listen to is going from queens, through manhatan to were i live in the bronx in the subway. it just fits so well especially when u come out of the tunnel after hunts point.

  • this is something to listen to while driving through manhattan/brooklyn late at night

  • I LOOOOOVE THIS!!! One of the Best songs in the series/album/cartoon/anime/whatever!

  • Yeah! Uno de los mejores temas de esta super serie. Gracias por subirlos Sary Bird

  • Couldn't agree more ! Thank goodness I turned off the cheesy radio stations. I would have never found this.

  • 666th view

this is real music. and its for one of if not the best anime ever. CB has the best soundtrack of any anime. Its perfect in almost every way.

  • I coulden't agree more! FLCL also has a good soundtrack too.
