Wow. This vid started with 5 ratings from the first three raters... And now currently at 2 stars on August 28th. Would anyone who is rating it down care to share why they think we should use methods that a) Don't work; b) Demean our Nation and make us no better than terrorists; c) Threaten to undermine the principles men died to defend during the revolutionary war?
And -- what that woman in the video say rings so true-- for those who say, "Well, the Terrorists don't care about human rights." When the hell did you anyone decide TERRORISTS would be the BENCHMARK for OUR behavior? Is the terrorists really the standard you want to live by?
The Founding Fathers of this nation fought EXACTLY against the laws the Bush administration are pushing right now. The real question on the table is, why do Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld and Congress hate America so much? How can these people think this has anything to do with the nation that was founded over two hundred years ago by men who literally put their lives on the line to build new principles of government.
Thank goodness people are stating clearly what needs to be said. I cannot believe that my nation -- a nation I love so much -- can possibly be planning on passing a Bill that allows torture (and make no mistake, that's exactly what the Bill does.) But even more amazingly makes the President of the United States the sole "Decider" as to who can be tortured, jailed for life, or executed via a trial where the accused has no right to face his accuser or hear evidence.
