  • thanks so much for share , wow yupu have a lot talent

  • Hi There Thanks for sharing really enjoy what you have done. Am new to scrapbook and have bookmark your video as my favourites. I hope to learn more from you. Thanks again ;-)

  • I would you like to see how you made all the pages......love your album

  • @troutscraphappy Please check the video description for links to additional tutorials and recordings of the album coming together.

  • Awesome tutorial. Thank you so much.I am going to try this.:) The album is already drop dead gorgeous:)

  • u must love scrapbooks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • So cool!!! This is fantastic, love it. :)

  • hi :) It was so interesting!! But where did you get that unique paper with face shape or the other paper? thanks a lot :D

  • @jessica150595 All the papers used in the tutorial and in the album are from the Graphic 45 "Steampunk Debutante" paper collection.

  • Really beautiful. I've only seen Steampunk look so masculine and you did a fabulous job putting a feminine spin to it!

May I ask how to make the large slider pocket you showed? I'm sure it's simple to most, but I can't figure it out! Thanks so much!

  • @craftyqueenie oops..I just saw you have a video on this! Will check it out! thanks!

  • The eyelets that you used .. did you use eyelet backing on the back or is the just the open eyelet, it just looks so clean and neat....great book you do some awesome work thanks for sharing...

  • @grasshopper814 I use 3/16" grommets+washers from an eBay seller. They have a front and a back and they make a nice clean look. You can get to her store page through her website which is fairelady . com

  • very creative! thanks for sharing.

  • THANX for sharing this informative and enjoyable tutorial! ~Blessings~

  • Wow, you are talented! They look awesome! tfs

  • Your tutorials are excellent...thank you so much.

  • Thank you for the tutorial and information. Your album is just beautiful.

  • Great tutorial, looks very easy to do. Your album is beautiful.

  • Hey Kathryn - I watched this video last night and it's so great, but then the Steam Punk album at the end blew me away! It is utterly incredible! A quick question - are the backgrounds all scrapbook papers or are they plain that you have collaged and stamped and inked?

    Love it all!

  • @waterybink That album mostly uses the Graphic 45 "Steampunk Debutante" paper collection. There was a lot of stamping throughout. Most of the steampunk stamps came from a 7 Gypsies stamp set called Paddington, I believe. There's another video on my channel with the completed Steampunk album as well.

  • Great art! You have given such clear and inspiring directions! The various ideas within your scrapbook are fantastic! I appreciate your tutorial so much. I will use many of these techniques which is fantastically exciting.

  • Amazing and great work.

  • That book is GORGEOUS!

  • I love this tutorial...so excited and can't wait to make one. Thank you for your great instructions.

  • Oh how nice this is. Thanks for the great Idea. Did you do a tutorial on the double pop up?

  • @Shatril1 You're welcome! Which double pop up do you mean? If you're looking for the page element from the Steampunk album where you pull one tag out of the top and another comes out of the bottom, then check on my channel for "double slider" tutorial. Thanks!

  • I gotta get that paper!!!!!

  • Another question. I've been using the Sookwang sticky strip and glossy accents for gluing. Seems so far like nothing else really holds well. What brand of tape roller are you using. I assume you are very satisfied with it. Your work always looks so well executed! Thanks so much for posting.

  • @westernkate The large black tape roller in the video is the Scotch ATG 700 by 3M, which I purchased from a company called Framing Supplies. It is normally yellow, but I painted it black. 3M also makes a version of the gun for crafters called the Scotch Advanced Tape Glider which is sold at Michael's and other craft stores Hope that helps!

  • Where in the world did you get that wonderful cutting mat?

  • @westernkate The green & grey grid mat on my desk is a Gingher self-healing quilting mat & it is about 2'x3'. It's a wonderful mat! I got it at a fabric store during a sale on quilting products.

  • I'm about to start a mini scrapbook album for my college graduation. I was looking for something interactive, yet semi small so it would fit in a 6x6 album. I LOVE the waterfall idea, and it'd be fairly easy to tweak the measurements. SO excited. TFS!

  • Kathryn that is so beautiful ! I will have to purchase some of these papers

  • Wow Kathryn...10, 000 people have seen this video in 2 days...that's amazing. Thanks for the very informative tutorial. You make everything look so darn easy. Bless you. LaSharown

  • Beautiful Job!!! I'm jealous! Love the flipbook idea for a page!

  • Love the double slider card you did for your mini.. care to share the measurement's and size?

  • @ChocoDrop2 I have a tutorial on my site for creating a double slider pocket that gives the overall guidelines for creating a double slider pocket. I don't remember exactly how large this one was ~ and I don't have the book anymore to check ~ but the book is 8"x8" if that gives you a sense of scale. Maybe 6"x7"? In any case, it was large enough that I had to tape two pieces of cardstock together to have a piece long enough to create a double slider pocket per the instructions on my video.

  • "Double thud" ditto regarding my jaw hitting the floor! I got some ice to help the swelling. LOL! This album is so beautiful. You have amazing talent. I loved it. Now I must get back to more of you vids.

    Terri

  • Wow! beautiful album! you have such great skills!

  • I wondered how you made that!!! Your books are stunning, thank you for sharing your creativity. I was never a big fan of Graphic 45 until I started watching your videos!! :) Gorgeous by the way, simply gorgeous this book is!

  • Love your book. Thanks for sharing. Awesome papers and awesome use of them!!!

  • OH MY GOSH!!!!! Now that was GRAND!

  • Wonderful tutorial...thanks for sharing this technique. I just picked up one of the new Hampton Art rubber stamp sets that goes with the G45 SP paper line...these will be great to use with this technique. I like watching your Ustream shows too...your an amazing talented woman and your art is very inspiring! Hugs...Noel

  • @MimziesWimzs Thank you so much, Noel! I need to get to Michael's to check out those stamps since I still have more of the paper. I'm glad you enjoy the UStream shows & thanks for leaving such a sweet comment. :D

  • Love the waterfall book, I need to make one for my next album. The SteamPunk papers are gorgeous aren't they? I have some but keep getting it out, looking at it and putting it away again. :-) Chris

  • Beautiful job....!! Wow!!!

  • I thought the waterfall book was it...THEN you showed your amazing album!!! TFS!!!

  • WOW, I've been wait to see this on You Tube. I've watched all the UStream videos on it and it is gorgeous. Thanks so much for showing on You Tube. I accidently hit the dislike button --- I am so sorry. I guess I was so excited. Please, delete it if you can. Becase I really, really like it. My bad.

  • @flirtini83 The video doesn't have any dislikes on it, so maybe when you hit the like button it erased it ... ? Either way it's all good ~ no worries! :D Thanks so much for watching & I'm glad you're enjoying it!

  • really nice! thanks for the tutorial . love your scrapbook album. tfs

  • I'm in LOVE with this album!!! It looks awesome Kathryn:) And the tutorial is awesome!! I'm def going to be using that in some pages. I always take too many pics so this works out :)

  • "THUD" That was my jaw hitting the ground and bouncing back to smack me in the face Kathryn lol. I am in love with this album. Steampunk Debutante is my fav paper collection so far and what you have done here is the best display I have seen to date of this paper collection being used and yes it is oh so feminine. Thankyou so much for sharing this Kathryn it is going in my favs and I cannot wait to see this completely finished.

    Hugs

    Michelle

  • @bohemiangypsy99 Oh, no, Michelle, that sounds really painful! Be sure to put some ice on it so it doesn't swell! :D I've really been enjoying the challenge of these papers. The designs are gorgeous, but so different ~ it's been cool to really dig deep for new ideas. I can't wait to finish the album & just stare at it for a while ~ lol!

  • **LOVE LOVE LOVE your mini **TFS**

  • Loved yr album ... Truly amazing ...

  • I saw this paper collection for so long on Utube... but haven't bought it yet !!!

Thanks Again for sharing your talent and inspiring me! RuthAnn

  • @TheMoparlvr Thank you so much for your very sweet and generous comment! :D I so appreciate you saying such kind things about my project and video. You're so very welcome & thanks for watching!

  • Its AMAZING!

  • Thank you for the tut. I would have messed this up and gotten frustrated. The album is absolutely beautiful. I soooo LOVE your work. TFS and inspiring, Mercy

  • Kathryn, Thank you for sharing your waterfall technique with us. As far as the album it is beautiful and my favorite that you have done so far. Whoever winds up with this album is a very wonderful person whom I'm sure is well deserving of such a special piece of art! Good health, happiness and prosperity to her! lol

But seriously, it is gorgeous!! and thank you.

  • @giegie61 LOL ~ you are too funny! I heard somewhere that the person who is getting this album also walks on water ... :D

  • WOW! You took a concept that pretty much completely blew my mind and turned it into something I can do and can't wait to try! Your album is fantastic, btw! Thank you for the tutorial!

  • @candyly4 I'll let you in on a little secret: I am a seriously lazy scrapper & I don't like to mess around with things that have lots of complicated folds or measurements. So if something appears complicated in one of my books, there is a 99.9% chance that it is much easier than it looks! :D

  • Great tutorial Kathryn! Thanks so much for taking the time... and your album is looking gorgeous! Can't wait to see the finished product!!!! You are always such an awesome inspiration!

  • BEAU-TI-FUL,BEAU-TI-FUL Kathryn! You are truly amazing. Love your work.

    Tracey J.

  • Thanks for sharing the technique and the Mini is Beautiful!!! TFS Patti

  • Thanks for the tutorial on the flip pages. I love love love your Steam Punk album!!! I'm a Graphic 45 fan and seeing your album gives me ideas. You are truly an inspiration with all your wonderful projects you share.

  • Great tutorial! I love your work and your videos! Awesome mini album.... love the graphic 45 papers!

  • Great tutorial! I love your work and your videos!

  • Great tutorial! Love how your steampunk album is coming along. What kind of eyelets do you use and where do you get them? I see they are finished on both sides. So clean and neat. Thanks!

  • @smscrapper I use grommets with washers to reinforce the holes in my chipboard albums. You can find them in the sewing section at Michael's under the brand name "Sewing Basket" or on eBay also. When you use a washer, you need to buy 1/16" smaller than your hole, so if you normally punch 1/4" holes, you need to buy 3/16" grommets.

  • @desdichaedo Thanks so much K for this detailed answer. I'll look into that. It definitely makes the mini look more finished!

  • Really nice album, such a great tut. TFS :). I might have missed it, but what paper collection did you use?

  • @padime Thanks you so much! :D The paper collection is the Graphic 45 "Steampunk Debutante" collection.

  • Great tutorial. TFS, Bonnie :-)

  • What an awesome album! Thanks for the tutorial.

  • I love all the ideas and ways you worked your album. I love it all. That was the best waterfall tutorial I have ever seen. keep it comming. love your work....andrea

  • What a great tutorial.. and what an awesome album!! TFS

    :)

    Debbi...

  • LOVE LOVE this mini what size is it .

Thanks for the Waterfall Tut i will Scraplift this but make the size smaller to fit a smaller size mini

  • @bluucaca Thank you! :D This album is 8"x8", which is a size I am starting to really like. The waterfall flip book is very easy to adapt to other sized pages by just making sure one piece is a half inch shorter on one side than the others.

  • Love that 'mini'!

  • You really do rock Kathryn!!!!!!!!!! Love the waterfall page and the whole mini too!! Love steampunk!!! Thank you....

    ~Christina B.

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE your G45 MINI!! :) holy smokes.. gorgeous Kathryn!!! sooo beautiful!! thanks for posting!

  • Thank you Kathryn! You rock!!! Love how this album is turning out!

  • I am FLIPPING out Kathryn!!!

Wow & thank you in the same sentence! I got the Steampunk papers awhile ago (crazy & unique they are) & plan on creating w/ them later this year. But I am telling you girl, you are so FLIPPIN' creative, & now seeing yours, which is by far the best I've seen, well... I am all steamed up and wanting to get to my project done sooner! But alas, it will have to stay on the back burner for awhile. When it's time, I will re-watch your video!

    Thanks Tonz 4 sharing- Joyce

  • @mysugarplumcottage You will have a really great time when you get around to working with them, Joyce! I found them very inspiring because of the challenge they presented with their oddity. So cool to really dig deep and come up with new things to do.

  • I was wondering what you used and how you did the eyelets on both sides for the ring binding

  • @jellyfish0098 I use grommets with washers to reinforce the holes in my chipboard albums. You can find them in the sewing section at Michael's under the brand name "Sewing Basket" or on eBay also. When you use a washer, you need to buy 1/16" smaller than your hole, so if you normally punch 1/4" holes, you need to buy 3/16" grommets.

  • Awesome! TFS!!

  • Great tutorial! Thanks for posting it. I like the double slider pocket you used as well, can you tell me where you learned to make it? I have been looking for a tutorial on how to make one, but haven't had any luck. Thanks again for the great tutorial -Nikki

  • @jerilynnlee I learned to make it on YouTube ~ I think from dawn5377, although I don't use a plastic grocery bag for mine ~ I find ziploc bags work better for me. Try doing a search for "Double Slider Card" on YouTube. It was a card technique before it was a mini album technique, so searching for "card" instead of "pocket" brings up more results.

  • Very creative. I wonder how this would look just as a small (and flat) album of just pictures and journaling. hhmmm... Love the Steampunk mini so far.

  • Super gorgeous!

  • Absolutely, positively AMAZING album! Your creativity is limitless! Thanks for sharing the waterfall book technique with us..I'm so trying that!!!, Smooches, Donna

    Brigitte

  • Thanks Kathryn this is easier to find than going back to the ustream day. Your the best!

    Deanna
