I thought this was a This Mortal Coil track - I remember buying that album when it came out back in the vinyl days and nearly wore out this track and song to the siren - but I had no idea this was a cover too. This is kind of interesting, but Liz Fraser's version is infinitely better, and Kate Bush suffers hugely from the comparison, to the point that I just want to turn this off and listen to just the TMC version.Also, the video imagery is way inappropriate for the song, at least during Kate Bush's portion of it.Nice effort, though.Is Kate Bush covering this, or were both these artists using some other source, like a poem?I don't recall.The original TMC album this came from is still totally classic.

from a live Christmas special, whilst Liz's is the studio version, so it did make a big

difference sound quality-wise when they were merged together,I love Liz's TMC version,

Kate's was from a duet with Peter Gabriel from a special back in 1979,

This didn't do it for me. Not as individuals but together - it wasn't aurally complimentary.

Prob anyone I asked would immediately know who Kate is but few would have a clue who liz Fra-a-a-a-aser is. I could hardly hear Liz's vocals in this mix. I'm quite a fan of singing pure notes in extension rather than pushing them all over the shop - this week anyway (sorry Maria, Whitney and - well almost every1 on X Factor)

I love Roy's song and it's so hard to beat the performance on Kates TV show

I want to say it was called "Peace Together" for some kind of protest for war or something, but my memory is a little fuzzy at this point. I've been looking for that single, but I've never been able to find it anywhere.
