Many people who watch this think I'm totally against hip-hop but actually I like and grew up with it when it was in its infancy. Much (not all) of the modern hiphop is based on negative images and has very little redeeming quality to it. however it should be pointed out that this is not a video about hiphop culture.

This is amazing! I'm always talking about this. Don't get me wrong I don't think I'm better than ANYONE and EVERYONE deserves the same respect, but as my friends and I would say "simple niggas" like this should really open their eyes. I believe that education (true, honest, non-brainwashing education) will solve all the world's problems. This is amazing! I'm always talking about this. Don't get me wrong I don't think I'm better than ANYONE and EVERYONE deserves the same respect, but as my friends and I would say "simple niggas" like this should really open their eyes. I think this makes total sense. If a person is educated I don't see color, they are my equal and if they have pulled themselves up out of a poor or bad situation, I respect them even more. @seeforreal so NO I and many other african americans don't claim the fools who make us all look like fools by embracing every negative stereotype that has ever been uttered about us. I have chosen a higher road and have not a problem with helping those who want to walk that higher road. However I REFUSE to feel bad for those who turn a deaf ear to the voice of reason especially when help is there to educate them and culture them.

About the segregated school thing, I always hear this reverse racism argument where someone'll say that if white people created an all white school or Ivory magazine or all white tv channel there'd be a national outcry. All I have to say is, you cannot give white people something they already have. The only issue I have with the video is that true "white supremacists" and bigots don't DIFFERENTIATE between educated, enlightened African-Americans and those who revel in the social stereotypes and ignorance of an African-American "counter-culture". To true racists ALL African-Americans are "niggers". The video alludes to an "illusion" of racists judging people based on character and, we know this isn't true. @BigBlue0002 This is very true. However, imagine if all black people thought and behaved in a way that exudes high intelligence, sophistication, self-respect, good manners and good character. It would make racists' job nearly impossible, because non-racists would defend blacks while we also stand up for ourselves. They were founded on the principle of African Americans seeking to educate themselves in an UNSEGREGATED atmosphere because black people were not allowed in most WHITE institutes of higher learning. This is actually really well thought out. I thnk the only thing that I don't personally agree with is when you references Hip-Hop as being the worst form of music. It does have a lot of so called artists who really don't speak much about anything associated with it. But if you look for artists like Rakim, Lupe Fiasco, B.O.B., KRS One, and many of those who are considered "underground", you'll there's a lot worth listening to.
