  • RAw martial Art ..would be ILL to train with someone like you

  • Very impressive skills! GREAT music too. Whats the name of the song playing in the background???

    Thanks.

  • Technique demo at 2:09, which he calls wrapping, is also super common in WC, it's like 3rd move on the Muk Jong. 2:29, yep, in the park, or Sifu's house. I trained the first 3 years in Sifu's home, in secret. 4:15 Sifu N is right on again, Training with no equipment, gives you the real deal. Your nuts be hangin out there, your head ain't padded, your eyes can be poked, you gonna fight differently, if you got a clue.4:40 again flying knees a favorite of Muy Thai, Check out Tony Jaa, you'll see!

  • Greetings Sifu Novell Bell. Thanks for your excellent postings on the discipline of Baqua Zhang. Your video clips have been very enlightening, educational and pratical. I have posted some of your video clips on my channel with much honor. I have subscribed to your channel. I am from the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. Wish you were here! Keep up the good work. God bless!

  • do u have a album or something? i love your music!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is the style i practice .... exept called Pa Qua

  • large respect for playing it for real. the internal arts were created for the battlefield not the gym. very clean, Thanks!

  • Remember I was here.Thai 10:51PM 4/8/2011

  • 2:58 to 3:31 so simple yet so effective!

  • great style you know your sh-t real nice moves sir much respect bow.

  • Dope!

  • Dude, this is tight. It really irritates me when I see that fool Joe Rogan making fun of black people doing kung fu. But I'm glad to see you're still keeping it real. Peace.

  • I like how hes doin all that shit in jeans and a big ass tshirt! Respect!

  • watz tha songs name?

  • hi from queens.

  • a sifu im tryin to box, call me bragh

  • special forces moves

  • man shooot i wanted to take up bagua but im kind of late tho, but im keep at it tho

  • Real training is in the park... the real dudes know this.

  • BT is the man.

    He is legendary in Bagua

  • Hey BT, which animal form(s) do you specialize in in Yin Style Bagua?

  • Internal style can't be learned, you already know it, just use it!

  • and all us Wu know Gazi got that crazy Iron gut...am I lyin?... NOPE :)

  • Real stuff here, sir. I agree with you about the training without protection...you won't have that stuff in the streets! I also like the "real" orientation...there is a difference between sport and street.

  • the rap track is ill...sounds kinda like GZA Genius. Put up more stuff about how to develop internal power. Bagua zhang with out internal strikes is just a bunch of real cool moves.

  • greaaat vid!

i like the lock u dun when he tried takin you down

  • This Brother Nice! Much respect to you Blacktaoist.

  • the grapplings are dope, we use those moves in kali too

  • This vid is dope.

BT demos great techniques real clearly.

    Palms rock!

    BK

  • i love it! beautiful relaxed form... i usually hate martial arts on youtube. this has none of the usual mechanical bs.

  • Great stuff! Really liked the sitting takedown you did!

I do Serrada Escrima - anyone here training FMA in the park?

  • Like the grappling moves on this vid!

    Did you write that tune?

  • i love these arts but there pretty much impossible to find. because of the proliferation of wushu i real chinese ma is rare these day 5 stars post more videos man

  • Sick applications, man. Beautiful.

  • "Unprotected eyes get blinded like Ray Charles."

  • what song is that? the video is tight nice

  • five stars

  • Good Video Bruce

  • Respect Soljah. You got any training camps or famliy in GA. dealin with Tai Chi or Ving Tsung or Bagua?

  • Wow those are great techniques. They are very realistic. This is type of fighting that I think is needed to learn for the common folk

  • Respect Black!

  • very nice, I trained a gentle man who came from Bagua. He could only tell me about it, but could not really demonstrate it..I like it, and like the approach. I think i'll search it out more and may add it to my training. Thanks

  • this is dope.

  • finally a good clip from Inside Martial Arts that didnt feature grappling! Good stuff, Novell

  • dope!

  • Well done as always. Shedding light on the ba gua zang and letting out the truth of traditional Daoist arts.

  • nice freestyle rappin too.

  • do you have any videos posted of you during "iron ring", id like to see you in it

  • I don't have any videos posted of me doing iron ring.

    Peace

  • @blacktaoist what is your view point on the art hapkido

  • Nice Vid BT. Keep up the good work and I wish you much success in your fine representation of Buagua. Peace

  • Excellent Video!

  • Thanks Brother Nakmmezy. I 'm just working hard as well training hard to help promote BaguaZhang.

  • I would have to admit, you lay it all on the table, with nothing to hide. Respect.

I wish more traditional (or so called) internalists came from inside their caves and showed their "flavour" on what they know, in regards to reality martial arts.

For example, I'm inspired to do so, but I fear that I might disrespect my current teacher in my lineage. I feel that I would have to break ties with him someday, in order do such a thing.

  • Five star video!!

  • bt is one of the best teachers of our generation of martial artists

  • good goin' BT, keep movin' forward.

  • this some real Wudang shit ,the Rza is the opposite as he is SHaolin ,,Shaolin vs Wudang Daoists !!!! ,whatcha know bout the Bak mei ,,,straight outta a comic book

  • great stuff again bt

  • Really impressive. I always enjoy your videos, and your emphasis on practical useage.

I am reminded that I have a long way to go, yet; But I have good teachers --The rest is just hard work and patience.

    kol haKavod, man.

  • i'm really impressed, BT do you travel and do seminars we'd love you to come visit us here in sweden.

  • Yes I travel and do seminars. If interested in me coming out in your area to do a workshop e-mail me.

    peace

    BT

  • man you are bad ass! Not many videos out there showing applications for the streets. Has it been effective in any real life stituations you've been in?

  • blacktaoist = real deal

  • Great video. One question.

Do you think top Bagua people can beat top MMA fighters like Fedor?

A lot of people don't think traditional Kungfu isn't as effective as all around fighters who can strike and do well on the ground. Please give me some feedback. Thanks a lot.

  • Truly dont matter if you a MMA fighter, kung Fu, karate, Judo, BJJ, traditional or non traditional martial artist, fighting is fighting and styles of fighting are only effective as the skill level and fighting abilities of the individual utilizing the art. Bottom line no matter what form of combat an individual plans to execute in a fighting situation going to come down to ones own skill level and adaptability.

  • You are a humble martial artist, all the very best bro's!

  • unprotected eyes get blinded like ray charles lol

  • Great interview brother. We're going to act up in South Carolina in May. It's going to be lots of fun.

  • Haha.I been training hard for that martial art show. I talk to you soon.

    Peace

  • Yes man! REPRESENT =D!

  • Hey BT congratulations, really impressive video.

  • Can a beginner like myself get down on this....

  • Anyone can learn BaGuaZhang brother. Truly depends on the person and they own hard work.

  • Hey BT, what are some good resources for a beginner to get involved in baguazhang? Like, for someone who doesn't have a BGZ teacher nearby?

  • Best resources for a beginner to get involved in BaGuaZhang if you dont have a teacher in your area is you should check out a few workshops , as well read some books and check the net as well for information. But in my opinion its always best to seek out and learn from a good teacher.

    Peace

  • Good shit BT representing for the Kung fu practitioners out there. I'd love to see someone use some of the holds in an MMA match against a grappler who likes to shoot. That would be real nice to see.

  • great video. glad you are getting even more exposure! props!

  • The chi is at work with you BlackTaoist. You have the appearance of a teenager. I've learned much from you , albeit at a distance.

  • Black Taoist is the real deal!

  • oh man BT, this is absolutely great! I can't wait for this show. Finally getting the respect you deserve.

    congrats!

  • BT definatley great video fam traditional and practical tatics for bgz thats whats up much props fAm

    Peace

  • Once again, nice applications and solid techniques. It was also cool to get some info on the foundation of your skills. I agree with you on premise that a lot of the arts tend to be taught informally; it's how I was taught the little I know.
