Look what you post here it wont do anything if you dont vote to keep this guy out, VOTE LABOUR OR LIB DEMS...THATS THE ONLY WAY....IF YOU THINK THE COUNTRY IS BAD NOW WAIT TILL YOU VOTE THIS LOT IN....!!!! Same old Tory values same old policies...All I ask is Think...
You people are going down, and with your bigoted views on homosexuals and the unemployed its all you deserve. The Tories have been SPINELESS in taking on the fat cats of the City. I think we know where their true priorities lie.
George Osborne said that the debate on how you share out the proceeds of growth is over. He doesn't want the Labour Party to be judged on the longest continuous run of economic growth ON RECORD and the investment in our services that resulted from it, but on the EXTRAORDINARY situation of a global recession. Let's return to that stable growth and investment when the recession is over and NOT to the instability of Conservative boom and bust and cuts.
But we need cuts. We have a grossly overstaffed public sector (think quangos and pointless jobs) that is wasting far too much money. Provided measures are put in place to protect those on the ground, we should be reeling in public spending very quickly, not over a three-year period (as Labour will).
And the 10-year boom was unsustainable, built on a mountain of debt and an unregulated banking sector and the biggest private debt per household in history, not something I want to return to.
gregorioallegri is trying to dismiss the achievement of the longest continuous run of economic growth ON RECORD by this Labour government by claiming it was "unsustainable." The truth is that the EXTRORDINARY situation of a GLOBAL recession is the reason why there's a temporary break in that run. The Conservative Party KNEW they'd be out of government for a generation and MUST take advantage of this GLOBAL recession to fool their way back into power.
Tony Blair: 'It is true that we had 10 years of record growth when I was Prime Minister. I have, unfortunately, come to the conclusion that it was luck.'
"However, his light-hearted comment to students in America is unlikely to amuse Mr Brown and will be seized on by the Conservatives.. A spokesman for Mr Blair insisted he had made a "self-deprecating joke in response to a comment praising the Labour government's handling of the economy while he was Prime Minister". - Daily Telegraph, Conservative propaganda rag.
You bloody moron. Its no ones fault but your own. Its people like you who have caused this recession for being a numpty with money. Take some responsibility for your own actions. You spent it so pay it back.
I'm trying to make the point about the budget defecit and bank bailouts-all labours fault. i had no choice in it you retard. that is my share for the debt the labour goverment has racked up in my name and i will be paying off the rest of my life and my childrens life. though technically i'ts more as i have just finished uni.
"..owning more than £350,000 of assets hardly counts someone as among the 'richest few', does it?"
We could gt into a debate about what "few" means, but it's missing the point. They're the richest, and tthe Conservative Party serves/represents the rich.
Err, no they're not the richest. Those over the £1million threshold undoubtedly own more in asset value (and remember, IHT is not set on the monetary value, but asset value). Cases like my grandparents, who lived in extreme poverty in a nursing home in their final years but had a £360,000 house were still liable for IHT.
gregorioallegri is saying that people above the £350,000 threshold aren't richer than those below it because "those over the £1million threshold" are the richest. Very deceptive, but this is to be expected from a Conservative.
Looking at somones pervious post, to elaborate on it, the news naviley called the BNP far right, however they only have ONE right wing policy, that being nationalism, the rest of their policies centre around protectionism economically, anti foreign trade and industrial protectionism, all of those policies being left wing, therefore the BNP are a left wing part, it is also good to note that there is such a thing as left wing nationalism.
I don't think we can really put nationalism - or more specifically ethnic nationalism, which the BNP practices - in any 'right' or 'left' box. Racism is not confined to the right.
You've forgotten nationalisation as one of their policies too. I think it's fairly safe to say they're socialists.
The Labour Party gave the British people the longest continuous period of low inflation and growth on record until this GLOBAL recession came along. Compare that to three BRITISH recessions the last time the Conservative Party governed. Their policies will always be the same failed policies with a glossy new label. Cameron's label reads "thrift." It means you're all on your own, like the last time we ruled, so you'll need to be a bit thrifty to avoid the inevitable poverty.
Hey David -You recently said that Labour rebels who created this whole Brown must go polemic in the first place (all 12 of them) cant even organise a coup against their leader - You are absolutely right - This is what the Tories do best, as you well know
At least Mr Purnell had the decency to do once the polls had closed. It would have been much more extraordinary if he had done it 24 hours earlier.
What I want to know Dave is why you want to form a European Alliance with PiS in Poland which has neo Nazi backing? What is the reason for this? I suspect you have been misinformed.
Half of those were put out by the previous Labour government.
I dunno, 3 million unemployed or a bankrupt and dead country?
Or do you prefer Labour just doing everything for the sacred "working class" and screwing the rest of us?
If Harold Wilson had known what he was doing, you'd never have needed Thatcher. Well, bully for Wilson, a fat pipe smoking idiot who ruined the aircraft industry (remember TSR2?)
ThePatriotUk...i can quite believe it mate. Isnt that the Tory way though. Grab a brush and sweep it under the carpet. I remember when Thatcher sold off large chunks of the UK's service industry to name one part and then kept the money back and wouldnt release a single penny to local councils who needed it for build projects so as , come election time, it would appear that she had amassed a big budget . Trusting this lot would be like trusting a prinah with your finger in its tank.or worse .ouch
Comfortablynumb. Finally a person with some common sense and who see's through David Chameleon's sugar coated lie's. I for one may have only been young during the Thatcher years (im 28 not 47 as stated on my channel for some weird reason) but i've never been under any illusion as to the way in which she raped this country like a virus. The fact is that the CON (aptly named) party are an Elitist establishment and represent the top 5% of this nation. I thought being PM was about doing good FOR ALL
I for one would never vote Con in a million lifetimes. Chameleon, sorry Cameron, pushes his smug little promises whole heartedly into the faces of potential voters and yet has failed to release any POLICIES. Why is that? Doe's Chameleon mean to tell me he expects us to vote him in purely based on wild promises and claims of how he'll lower taxes here and increase spending there and there. I for one am not buying into his lies.
Im a currently serving Royal Marine. Joined at 16 and aged 28 now, my father served 32 years in the RM himself and i'll never forget the stories he told me of how, when under a Tory government, their communications kit was so poor they resorted to using their mobiles as the analogue Clansman was not a secure form of comms, how the original SA-80A1 jammed constantly and magazines fell off inadvertently, how we had no apache, no WMIK vehicles, mastiff & bulldog vehicles, s Labour provided us with.
Thats why its important whatever your political persuasion, we dont have an election before the independent group have gone through these expenses with a fine tooth comb.
Then make your decisions on who YOU want representing you.
Is it just me, or does anyone think SKY News is actually starting to harm the Conservative Party?
This saturation doom & gloom is quite frankly starting to look seriously stage managed & its have the wrong desired effect.
Why is it I have had a message on Tory expenses marked as span when its infact got thumbs up?
Thats the whole crux of this. The Conservatives want their election now as to get the rotten apples in first & then play Jesus after the election & dispose of the chafe & make excuses for the ones they want to keep.
Oh come off it Mr. Cameron this is soooo cheesy!!!! I don't think constant mud slinging is going to win any public confidence in you for the next general election?! It's easy to pick at the current government's issues, but it appears hypocrytical when the same corruption has been exposed within the conservative party? I know what conservatives represent so I certainly would never vote for them. I think Labour would marginally be the lesser of two evils given the choice out the 2 big parties.
Parliament is looking so fragile at the moment, it appears to be falling apart, and it's worrying. I think the timing of certain MP's recent resignation was deliberate and not connected to any moral values. I think the way both David Cameron & Gordon Brown present themselves to UK citizens looks farcical and reminds me of watching washing powder commercials or pushy salesmen at the door, which doesn't help convince me personally to decide a party I should vote for in the next general election?
Someone suggested other day on another discussion forum that all the mp's who (hadn't) had their noses in the Trough should form a new party and leave the others to ROT!! Ive heard worse idea's!!.
The goverment have made a mess, the labour party are handling it wrong and the conservatives seem to be claiming they are the ones who are going to fix this...but theres something about them I dont trust, they have the same face all the time and look untrust worthy to me.
What I hate is how they seem to think thatcher was a success, IT WAS THE FREAKING CONSERVATIVES WHO GOT RID OF THATCHER BECAUSE THE PUBLIC HATED HER FOR GODS SAKE! I'm worried for the future of england
It's sad to see that the British public haven't learned anything from the past 30 years. Labour put the country into debt, the Conservatives look after the fatcats, the Lib Dems... er, well, what do they do apart from raise tax? and as said before, people jump on the BNP bandwagon because the government has no interest in the people and their concerns. Who can represent us fairly? It pisses me off that you wave a St George flag and get called a racist and that I'm certainly not!
Old etonian school bully just like Blair. bullshit artist extraordinair. fuck the establishment fuck all them sudo intellectual toffs and fuck the system, we been in a game since thatcher the old witch came to power.
they dont represent most if not virtually everybody i'd sooner wipe my bum on a ballot paper and hand it to one of these self serving idiots.
interesting how when someone makes a comment about the fact that Britain will be muslim soon it gets deleted. What a democratic approach !!! and I dont even support BNP.
BNP has been able to emerge due to Labour Party abandoning the working classes. They have allowed mass immigration, TOO much and were ready to call anyone who opposed what they did as 'fascist'/....NOW THE EVIL BNP OPPORTUNIST PARTY IS GETTING SUPPORT AND ITS ALL THE CARELESSNESS OF LABOUR'S FAULT!
Ohh & don't forget, we have seen next to nothing of the Tories expenses yet.
We have had dribs & drabs, nothing more.
Being decisive is one thing; hiding the truth from the electorate is another & if Cameron is choosing to deceive the public on his own teams expenses, that in my opinion would be the mother of all mistakes.
So going on Skys own stats if the Conservatives cannot show a far superior & commanding lead after all this madness, Tory supporters should worry & worry big time.
The major problem Cameron & the Conservatives have is before long, the financial climate will go on an upturn & when that happens, as people know when Election Day comes & you get in that booth to mark that big X on that ballot paper whats the one & only thing you think of?
Is anyone really that surprised even after all the turmoil we have seen engulf Labour in recent days, the Labour party is refusing to kick the chin monster out?
Does any in here truthfully think Labour cannot over turn a majority of 24 in 12 months?
Facts are, even after 12 months solid barrage of negative press from the likes of the right wing press & Sky news the pristinely shined Conservatives according to Skys own figures would still only command a majority of 24.
And how is nationalisation going to add competition? How does a business sherk complacency and add responsiveness in the hands of state commisars? It's failed once before.
As for the railways, Virgin is currently suffering from competition in the form of a small local firm in the Midlands. Having cut its regular Shrewsbury service, this firm made the route its own. Virgin did awful things like cutting fares, increasing their service provision and improving their service, none of which I should imagine helped the customer. The only barrier to the small firm improving things further was Virgin's sole rights to Birmingham Station (franchised). Competition works!
Rover to China? The cars were assembled at Longbridge, Birmingham (they still are now) which was a huge local employer, unfortunately being a British company its products weren't that good so nobody bought them (willingly).
Yeah I like DC but he does come across as being a bit smarmy. Way out of his depth on the economy-That is not a trump card for him. James Purnell? Another Blairite who has bit the dust. The hand of Tony is at work here.
I dont like GB much, but he is extremely intelligent and I can still trust him more than DC.
Indeed, British manufacturing has really proved itself to be efficient and profitable enough to sustain - that's why our export market collapsed and took with it our native industry.
And Tory-owned factories in China? Please prove it. Being a communist regime I should imagine it's very difficult to buy the industry.
And why do the railways need nationalising? Do you want to return to British Rail? If anything, we need to deregulate our railway system and remove the franchising.
HOPEFULLY the disgraceful Quentin Davies will be next to step down.
Could you offer any potential Tory voter, promise you would action an immediate open public enquiry into claims Robin Cook & Claire Short made prior to deployment of Brit forces into Iraq ( with promise Tony Blair & his Atourney General would be held accountable) and immediate referendum of our involvement in war against Afghanistan?
CHEWD the Tories or CONS more appropriately, wont offer any voter a firm promise. Promises is all they make and yet..where are David the Chameleon's POLICIES??? he hasnt issued a single proper POLICY as of yet. Just made wild promises he couldnt hope to deliver on. And the SAD SADDDD fact is, people in this country are bloody gullible and are swallowing every sugar coated word. HOW QUICKLY PEOPLE FORGET HOW THE TORIES RUINED THIS COUNTRY THE LAST TIME. It was worse then by far than right now.
We need a party that will remove fear & chains Blair introduced. That takes men with integrity, intelligence & balls. David Davies, Michael Portillo. Men who have walked the walk, not just great at talking the talk. I want to see immediate enquiry into Iraq war & Robin Cook's great resignation speech haunt the lack of integrity of those who unlike him put self interest before loyalty to UK. Our troops should NOT be loosing lives & limbs for Blair's charity ie USA, & should all be returned to UK
Sorry to dissapoint you but Afghanistan is a very worthy cause. Let the Taliban and Al Quaeda furhter their aims and you will be very sorry you ever dared mentioned withdrawl..and i speak as a serviceman.
Not SERVING or very intelligent, or you would be listening to what most snr ranks in well documented interviews tell us they are neither fighting Taliban or Al Qaida. You can not be very bright or you would know Al Qaida was a data file of thousands of Muchahidea recruited and trained by cia to fight the russians (who all must be getting on abit now) Were they all photographed hmm? & most of Taliban left b4 we arrived. Afghan consists of MANY tribes! You're just another safe arm chair war MONGER
The Taliban and Al Qaueda (spell it correctly please) are all for the sa\me cause they serve Osama and Osama is Al Qaueda. Dont ever put a slurr on my service record sweetheart since i've had the balls to do my bit for my country. Taleban IS who were fighting out there. Whenever we went out on RP's from FOB Edninburgh and anywhere in Lashkar Gha it was the taliban we';d come up against. Stop basing your weak arguments on stuff you read in the British GUTTER PRESS.
Many of our high ranking officers believe it will take very skilled politicians with enormous diplomatic skills to sort out this mess, did you know Afghans speak more languages than ANY other country over 70 languages. THAT should explain to any intelligent person just how many different groups our very brave troops are fighting. The americans are paying & arming them, THEY DID THAT BEFORE, now they use those arms against us. Strange you've no confidence in UK but much for foreign mercenarys
The Taliban and Al Quaeda are entirely separate bodies, which happen to be allied. Osama bin Laden has nothing to do with the Taliban's management nor did he take part in its formation. You will find Mullah Omar founded the Taliban (Afghan for 'students') and it is the Taliban which had been in control of Afghanistan since the tribal systems simply collapsed.
Wow you really are very ill informed. Its is the TALIBAN AND AL QAUEDA that we are fighting. Granted the AL QAUEDA are an internationally organised terrorist islamic cell wheras the TALIBAN are localised to Afghan though they are operating heavily in Pakistan now too which is one reason i think British troops should pursue them into Pakistan since Pakistan dont seem to be doing a great deal about them. Make sure you know what your talking about next time,, Take it from SERVICEMEN in the know.
You have plenty of undeserved arrogance but few brain cells. You continue to play for agreement due to claiming to be a seviceman; imagines you work for local council!
Just to educate you further LC the word 'taliban' means 'teacher' & originally although they went went back on it, their reps did agree to US running pipeline through their country. I guess it depends on your point of view, I'm just not one that one that believes one of our soldiers etc should loose their life or limbs to retrieve oil or sell burgers in Caspan etc & has far more confidence Davies etc will NOT sell Brit lives out for personal gain or to keep USA afloat, to China's gain or not!
I couldnt care less what Taliban means. You can do all the web based research you like the face is it IS the taliban were fighting over there FACT. Al Quaeda have a database ON THEM...Al quaeda is not the NAME OF A DATABASE. Another fact. And im just tsating the fact that Britain cant stand alone on the international stage another blatant FACT. We had to scrounge off of the US for the Falklands conflict, mainly due to Thatcher mothballing half our fleet.
1. If you cared more, you might just attempt to find out more so then you might get your facts correct. 2. Given choice of believing you or snr members of armed forces no one in their right minds would believe you. WE HAVE BEST ARMED FORCES IN THE WORLD, and BEST TRAINERS WITHIN OUR OWN RANKS. I'm sure when conservatives return to sort out sorry state of UK, they will correct mothballing of our own home grown talent and not just our forces. CAMERON will put UK first, not USA unlike your party.
Chewd last time i checked that the queens uniform im wearing on my profile. Dont belittle the individuals with the balls enough to protect you of so little knowledge from a very real threat. Muslims have every right to freedom and peace but those individuals wishing to convert the UK and bring us under complete sharia law are not to be tolerated and hence another reason i will gladly serve again and again in country (Helmand AFG) until the jobs done. If you need anymore proof check out islam4uk
So why aren't you still serving then? 'TUT' get real for good ness sake and stop exaggerating. At no time have muslims even attempted to take over UK. OUR SERVING SOLDIERS ETC ARE LOOSING LIMBS AND LIVES BECAUSE BLAIR SUPPORTED VERY DYSFUNCTIONAL AMERICAN DREAM & HIS OWN SELF INTERESTS! IF you are paranoid and raciest and believe in american dream why don't you relocate & join USA sending out intelligence briefs with biblical quotes above & help them with their continued colonisation of UK.
This is last time I reply to you, because you've tried to distract from video above. May I suggest you stop reading Sun & News of The World, and instead start listening to men like David Davies, Michael Portillo, Paddy Ashdown, who UNLIKE yourself although having enormously successful service records are far more male & deserving of respect, because you won't hear them trying to gain sympathy vote from that. If you were serving HM and not BNP you would have my respect.!!!!!!
You clearly haven't got the first clue about economics, history shows us that protectionism does nothing but make a few people very rich and everyone else poorer. The government is not competent enough to run itself let alone business. The sooner everyone realises that the BNP is just Old Labour in blackshirts the better.
No the BNP would bring back grammar schools. So they can keep the middle classes from the "riff raff". The BNP would gas people in death camps and kills jews, gays, and gypsies.
I am not affiliated to any particular party but I really do struggle to understand how Mr Brown continues to think he is the best person to lead the Government. Surely the people should be the judge of that. He may have the interests of the country at heart but he is unpopular in the main as he does not really seem to do much in the public eye. But I don't think it is the right to hold a general election, not until all of the dead wood has been removed from parliament.
I agree with David on this one, I'd say the labour party is on its knees. its a sorry sight for them. unreal... What is happening to democracy? f.e. he E.U. what happened to the vote labour promised?
The first thing the Toffs will do is RAISE INCOME TAX! CUT ALL PUBLIC SERVICES! and create tax loopholes for the rich through the back door...wait an see!!
Ah, playing the class card. That's all you Labour supporters can do, that's all Gordon Brown could do, that's why he's failing (sorry, failed). It's a substitute for real action and it's scaremongering.
BlackHearted, are you f*****g serious you stupid little boy. The Majority of British people still have brains?? so they are going to vote this bumbling idiot in after what the last lot of "CON" party fools i.e thatcher/major did to this country. If people do vote this fool in then HOW QUICKLY PEOPLE FORGET. People have brains eh Black?? then why dont they ask "Dave" Chameleon sorry "Cameron" what his POLICIES are? Bet he cant answer that one because he hasnt rleased a SINGLE POLICY AS OF YET.
Shut up, don't act high and mighty throwing around your non existant authority, I was stating my opinion, that's the point of the comment space. If you don't like Cameron why bother watching his videos, you're wasting our time and your own as well.
No Black im expressing MY opinions as well. Based on FACTS that have happened in the past under Con governments and i'd sooner not see them return to power so they can stealth rape us Yet again.
Well LC, don't insult me or other users, you'll get your point across easier. Also, I couldn't care less about this really, I just don't want Labour or the BNP in power.
If you dislike the 1980s Conservative government so much throw out your computer, you wouldn't have had that with Callaghan.
Have spare money in your pocket? Burn it. Expert economists reckon we'd have been in recession for 10 years by now with no signs of recovery if Callaghan had stayed.
Like the BBC? That would be pumping out pro-government crap (more than it does now) thanks to Callaghan's 'Socialist Age for the 1980s' plans. Many of our freedoms would have been removed too by now.
Greg..if you hate the Euro trash residing over the UK thank Thatcher she signed us into the European Free market. If you think free milk for kids at school was a bad idea then i bet you loved Thacther for cruely snatching it away from them. I HATE the BBC. Bunch of Tory elitist fat cats that they are. The BBC is a TOTAL WASTE of money, money we HAVE to pay thanks to the Tories, wheres the democracy in that?
The Tory BBC? That's a new one, you've obviously been in Afghanistan too long.
You'll find it was Heath who signed us into the free market, and it was under Heath's government that free school milk was (rightly) abolished, with Mrs T. as Education Secretary. Thatcher was thrown out by her own party over the Europe issue as she refused to surrender more powers (and the pound) to Europe, proving that your knowledge is patchy in the least.
Also Greg, a point that prives the Con, sorry TORY party only back the richest 5% elites of our nation. He vows to scrap inheritance tax. So what..thas onyl worth anything if your taking in the region of £350,000 a year. Its a useless gesture for the majority of the British public. Dont piss in my pocket sonny jim and tell me its raining because im not buying the bullshit the Con party are selling. And dont try and school me on matters regarding the Taliban since im someone thats fought them.
It hasn't been called the Tory Party for at least 150 years, and where is your evidence that they only back the richest 5%? Nowhere, because that is a purely obsolete argument that anyone can disprove (as I shall if you persist).
And as for your Taliban comment, you may have been fighting them and I'm sure you're an expert at it but you know sod all about its history or structure.
"and where is your evidence that they only back the richest 5%? "
When times are hard because of the global recession, the Conservatives are going to cut the revenue coming in by cutting inheritance tax for the richest few.
In the least that's sparing evidence. Inheritence tax counts for 0.8% of government income and owning more than £350,000 of assets hardly counts someone as among the 'richest few', does it?
Perhaps we should be worrying more about the 12% increase in income tax required to maintain public spending at its current level, which McBroon keeps saying he's going to do (despite his current figures showing a 7.5% three-year decrease in public spending).
Dont forget though davey boy...any seats you gain will only be through PROTEST VOTES!! youve done absolutly NOTHING to earn the position of P.M! youre full of spin and BULLSHIT! and will only gain power by DEFAULT!.
And Brown did earn his postion of PM? If Cameron says what he would do Brown nicks the idea and makes out it was his idea. Its not a protest vote, its people wanting a end to this one eye fool.
and Brown earned HIS position? All he did was get voted for at a local level then get put in position of prime minister in the middle of a Labour Term
Someone claims on your profile that you would like to have sex with beaten up people, while they lie on the road. You are very sick. You are BNP supporting nut skinhead nazi,
Conservatives will take power sooner or later, Brown is just embarrasign himself, please uphold respect for him, he has dedicated so many years to public service. It is time for Brown to go! "Get in your car, drive down to Buckingham Palace and Call a General Election!" Here here.
Finally, the dreaded Labour experiment that began in the late 19th century and which the BNP want to carry on, may finally be coming to an end.
We might finally go back to a real two party system with the Tories & Liberals.
Go get em Dave. It's time to finish what Mac, Maggie, Winston, Stan, Neville, Ted, John, Eden & Lord Home couldn't. The destruction of the Labour movement in the UK.
RedRaven what are Camerons POLICIES?? not what has he promised to do...wha POLICIES has he made?? because as anyone, with half a brain, knows, promises are nothing without policies. Verbal and published promises on the wed can be backed out of but Set in stone POLICIES are a little harder to jack knife out of. I guess if the Cons get back in its back to dark days where we had maximum property reposessions, maximum closures of business both new and established, scrapping the westland project..cont
3 words for Mr Brown, CALL-AN-ELECTION! He keeps saying nobody can do the job better then him, then why can't he prove that by letting us voters decide. Watching PM's questions tonight it seems Labour is just sinking and sinking further into deep water. I'm glad though the likes of Jacqui Smith & Blears have gone!
The strange thing is that Brown doesn't seem to realise that he might win back some Labour voters by listening to their views and calling an election. Foolish man!
lol. you said it all the US has been deciding everything! We need politicians willing to stand up to US and put UK first.
Blair sold british out to prop up USA in so many different ways & Robin Cook & Dr David Kelly proved their loyalty to UK, unlike vast majority of MPs across the house whose self interests rendered them incapable & incompetent for highest office ... but we're all to blame, not once but twice this democracy voted in Blair & his charity the US! Who cared about our troops?
CHEWD without the support of the US the UK is nothing. We are either in Europe or with the US but Britain cannot stand alone on the international playing field anymore. Get over it we dont have an empire any more we are NOT a superpower and we will never be again. BRITAIN CANNOT..NOT..STAND ALONE.
WOW HE LOOKS BLOODY PALE IN THAT BLACK TOP...AWFULL!

"..owning more than £350,000 of assets hardly counts someone as among the 'richest few', does it?"
We could gt into a debate about what "few" means, but it's missing the point. They're the richest, and tthe Conservative Party serves/represents the rich.
freatork1 2 years ago
Err, no they're not the richest. Those over the £1million threshold undoubtedly own more in asset value (and remember, IHT is not set on the monetary value, but asset value). Cases like my grandparents, who lived in extreme poverty in a nursing home in their final years but had a £360,000 house were still liable for IHT.
gregorioallegri 2 years ago
gregorioallegri is saying that people above the £350,000 threshold aren't richer than those below it because "those over the £1million threshold" are the richest. Very deceptive, but this is to be expected from a Conservative.
freatork1 2 years ago
Where did I say that? Oh, I didn't.
gregorioallegri 2 years ago
Looking at somones pervious post, to elaborate on it, the news naviley called the BNP far right, however they only have ONE right wing policy, that being nationalism, the rest of their policies centre around protectionism economically, anti foreign trade and industrial protectionism, all of those policies being left wing, therefore the BNP are a left wing part, it is also good to note that there is such a thing as left wing nationalism.
GreenFont 2 years ago

I am no Tory supporter, but to be fair the the Conservatives its not only they who join forces with these deranged groups.
Labour & the Lib Dems have affiliates that none to many people in here would be proud of.
But as for Europe, Cameron needs to be very careful because his party is more fragile than a fragile thingy when it comes to Europe.
Its only through enforced discipline none of their problems are surfacing.
But you know the saying:
You can't keep a good Tory down.

I dunno, 3 million unemployed or a bankrupt and dead country?
Or do you prefer Labour just doing everything for the sacred "working class" and screwing the rest of us?

I remember when Thatcher sold off large chunks of the UK's service industry to name one part and then kept the money back and wouldnt release a single penny to local councils who needed it for build projects so as , come election time, it would appear that she had amassed a big budget . Trusting this lot would be like trusting a prinah with your finger in its tank.or worse .ouch

After yesterday, I am a lot more relaxed after seeing that 24 majority claim by SKY. Truth be known I was expecting a figure of 80-120 majority.
But 24?
What are your thoughts on that Mr. Cameron?
comfortablynumb75uk 2 years ago 2
Comfortablynumb. Finally a person with some common sense and who see's through David Chameleon's sugar coated lie's. I for one may have only been young during the Thatcher years (im 28 not 47 as stated on my channel for some weird reason) but i've never been under any illusion as to the way in which she raped this country like a virus. The fact is that the CON (aptly named) party are an Elitist establishment and represent the top 5% of this nation. I thought being PM was about doing good FOR ALL
LCStreetPhotographer 2 years ago

LCStreetPhotographer 2 years ago
Id wager the right wing press & the likes of SKY news are PETRIFIED.
What if after their 18 month, non-stop relentless campaign against Labour, their attempts to remove the Labour Party from Government dont work?
What if the people decide its better the devil you know & reject Cameron & the Conservatives?
comfortablynumb75uk 2 years ago 2
Thats why its important whatever your political persuasion, we dont have an election before the independent group have gone through these expenses with a fine tooth comb.
Then make your decisions on who YOU want representing you.
Is it just me, or does anyone think SKY News is actually starting to harm the Conservative Party?
This saturation doom & gloom is quite frankly starting to look seriously stage managed & its have the wrong desired effect.
comfortablynumb75uk 2 years ago 2
Hmmmmm im left pondering;

I think Labour would marginally be the lesser of two evils given the choice out the 2 big parties.
lavendercandle 2 years ago
Parliament is looking so fragile at the moment, it appears to be falling apart, and it's worrying. I think the timing of certain MP's recent resignation was deliberate and not connected to any moral values. I think the way both David Cameron & Gordon Brown present themselves to UK citizens looks farcical and reminds me of watching washing powder commercials or pushy salesmen at the door, which doesn't help convince me personally to decide a party I should vote for in the next general election?

And how is nationalisation going to add competition? How does a business sherk complacency and add responsiveness in the hands of state commisars? It's failed once before.
gregorioallegri 2 years ago
As for the railways, Virgin is currently suffering from competition in the form of a small local firm in the Midlands. Having cut its regular Shrewsbury service, this firm made the route its own. Virgin did awful things like cutting fares, increasing their service provision and improving their service, none of which I should imagine helped the customer. The only barrier to the small firm improving things further was Virgin's sole rights to Birmingham Station (franchised). Competition works!

The Taliban and Al Qaueda (spell it correctly please) are all for the sa\me cause they serve Osama and Osama is Al Qaueda. Whenever we went out on RP's from FOB Edninburgh and anywhere in Lashkar Gha it was the taliban we';d come up against. Stop basing your weak arguments on stuff you read in the British GUTTER PRESS.
LCStreetPhotographer 2 years ago
Many of our high ranking officers believe it will take very skilled politicians with enormous diplomatic skills to sort out this mess, did you know Afghans speak more languages than ANY other country over 70 languages. THAT should explain to any intelligent person just how many different groups our very brave troops are fighting. The americans are paying & arming them, THEY DID THAT BEFORE, now they use those arms against us. Strange you've no confidence in UK but much for foreign mercenarys
CHEWDwivTHEinCrowd 2 years ago
The Taliban and Al Quaeda are entirely separate bodies, which happen to be allied. Osama bin Laden has nothing to do with the Taliban's management nor did he take part in its formation. You will find Mullah Omar founded the Taliban (Afghan for 'students') and it is the Taliban which had been in control of Afghanistan since the tribal systems simply collapsed.
gregorioallegri 2 years ago
Wow you really are very ill informed. Its is the TALIBAN AND AL QAUEDA that we are fighting. Granted the AL QAUEDA are an internationally organised terrorist islamic cell wheras the TALIBAN are localised to Afghan though they are operating heavily in Pakistan now too which is one reason i think British troops should pursue them into Pakistan since Pakistan dont seem to be doing a great deal about them. Make sure you know what your talking about next time,, Take it from SERVICEMEN in the know.

CHEWDwivTHEinCrowd 2 years ago
I couldnt care less what Taliban means. You can do all the web based research you like the face is it IS the taliban were fighting over there FACT. Al Quaeda have a database ON THEM...Al quaeda is not the NAME OF A DATABASE. Another fact. And im just tsating the fact that Britain cant stand alone on the international stage another blatant FACT. We had to scrounge off of the US for the Falklands conflict, mainly due to Thatcher mothballing half our fleet.

LCStreetPhotographer 2 years ago
It hasn't been called the Tory Party for at least 150 years, and where is your evidence that they only back the richest 5%? Nowhere, because that is a purely obsolete argument that anyone can disprove (as I shall if you persist).
And as for your Taliban comment, you may have been fighting them and I'm sure you're an expert at it but you know sod all about its history or structure.
gregorioallegri 2 years ago
"and where is your evidence that they only back the richest 5%? "
When times are hard because of the global recession, the Conservatives are going to cut the revenue coming in by cutting inheritance tax for the richest few.
freatork1 2 years ago
In the least that's sparing evidence. Inheritence tax counts for 0.8% of government income and owning more than £350,000 of assets hardly counts someone as among the 'richest few', does it?
Perhaps we should be worrying more about the 12% increase in income tax required to maintain public spending at its current level, which McBroon keeps saying he's going to do (despite his current figures showing a 7.5% three-year decrease in public spending).

Look at the Conservative website for the manifesto.

What did Gordon Brown do when Norman Lamont announced Britain's exist from the ERM? He gloated. If I was Cameron, I'd stick the knife further in.

Not British, and not a Conservative, but I'd vote for Cameron over Brown any day.

Brown's not going to call an election but I wonder what would happen if the Queen called an election...

I'm bored of this fake Government that Gordon Brown is heading, nobody wants it anymore, let US decide whose governing. GENERAL ELECTION NOW!
FusionSarson 2 years ago 5
lol. you said it all the US has been deciding everything!
