Until it has been proven that Iran is working on a peaceful nuclear program then they will have to deal with more than the US. Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Philippines, South Korea, Turkey, and Canada are all allies of the US. Im sure if needed, allies of Europe would join along. ya i know its bullshit but let me say this, the reason our carriers were made so oversized was mostly because we want to "project power" but another part of it was we (the US DOD) wanted to have a ship that had a surface size so big it could be considered "US territory" the way you might say a strip of land is, so with that designation it has the same rights as US soil which means the sea around it for miles (i dont know how much that is for a carrier though) is (1of2)
