Yes, those concrete walls are a major pain... If ever you go on the Confederation Bridge between New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, do it in a full-size van or 3/4 ton pickup or anything that sits higher because instead of seeing the Gulf of St. Lawrence you will see pure concrete if you are in a regular car... Feh.
The only solution to traffic jams on the bridges leading to Montréal is to fill up the St. Lawrence river so that bridges aren't needed anymore.
