I used to listen to Al Franken on AM 760 during his Air America Radio show (in Denver, CO ~2005-2006). The guy made a lot of sense.

Back then he would scoff at the idea of actually running for office. But then he wrote that damn book of his, and that erased all doubts.

I think there might have been about 100 pages of good material in there, but the rest was just fluff. However, it's still pretty funny that he wrote a satyrical chapter in that book about him being elected a Senator in 2008. I don't think anybody ever dreamed that would actually come true!
