I've also seen plenty of wasted bands such as children of bodom, all shall perish, and many more absolutely wasted and can still play their songs just fine, so I can't really see that being an excuse for everytime. "Canon Rock" was composed by Jerry C, and covered by many people. It is a composition of "Canon" which is a very famous piece of classical music. Lots of famous bands have mucked around with Canon Rock, not official recordings, but in sound checks and studio warm ups.
