  • You know what else will have an "economic impact"?

    - Higher frequency of superstorms

    - Rising sea levels overtaking coastal cities/salinating fresh water aquifers

    - Droughts destroying arable lands

    - And widespread war due to famines/natural disasters.

Our CO2 emissions are also growing yearly. We're actually moving backwards, and the so-called "point of no return" after which we get a runaway greenhouse effect is now expected within the next 10 years. EVERYONE NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

  • What in your view is a credible economist seeing that economists are infamous for having widely divergent views on the same issue...

  • Harper can't even legislate Trans Fats that are killing us let alone CO2.

He would rather Municipal Governments attempt to take on Global Chains like McDonalds etc......A REAL conservative ass dragging LEADER!

  • There is no credible economist who backs Harper on this point. All credible economists say the exact opposite: doing nothing about climate change is the worst economic policy.

  • ! Just as the impact of C02 cuts may be disproportionate among countries (in Canada for instance because of the oil sands) so to will the effects of global warming. Tough luck Canada...
