  • Which ring did he wear in this? was it the Lugosi A&C meet Frankenstein one ,(Forrest J Ackerman's Ring) or was it a differant ring?

  • Though I prefer Lugosi and Lee as Dracula, this was a very good tribute. Thanks for posting this.

(And hey, at least Carradine's Dracula does not *sparkle.*)

  • Bela Lugosi and Christopher Lee are more better than this! This vampire sucks!

  • always good to watch count dracual on halloween.

  • For a different take on Dracula, check out Jack Palance in the made-for-TV version done in 1973. Much more "physical" and animalistic; Dracula as predator.

  • In my opinion, no one could say which of these three actors was the best Dracula, because all of them, Lugosi, Lee and Carradine gave to count Dracula something new, something different and something really great. I like them all, they have done really great performance and they will always be legends. :-)

  • This Dracula is so ridiculous, kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • So many people hate John Carradine's Dracula, because it wasn't Bela Lugosi, yet these same people don't hate Christopher Lee's Dracula. Kinda funny actually. Anyway, Lugosi was certainly the best, with Lee coming in at a close second, but Carradine's Dracula is excellent as well, and easily third best.

  • twilight doesent have shit on this

  • Naturally we all say Lugosi was the best, but that's not to say Carradine wasn't good either. Even now his performance is very intense and dramatic. Lugosi was the best Dracula, but Carradine was definately a good actor too.

  • LOL NAUGHTY!!!

  • i freeking love this =D old school rocks... btw i made a video response to this that is just as good u need to check it out and i also have like 63 videos =p i sent the video on here as a response

  • A very nice tribute indeed. His Dracula was highly underrated, as it was much closer to Stokers version then Lugosi's.

  • So John Carradine was a better Dracula than Bela Lugosi? Really? Was he also a better Dracula than Christopher Lee? Wow.... I guess if one lives long enough you really do get to see and hear it all.....

  • The person you responded to did not say that Carradine was a better Dracula; he said he was closer to Stoker's version than Lugosi, which is true. Stoker described the Count as having a long, straight nose (which Lugosi lacked) and a mustache (which Lugosi lacked). No one can beat Lugosi for magnetic power and personal charisma, but he was not close in appearance to the character in the novel.

  • House of Frankenstein (1944) is one of my favorite Universal monster films. I especially like Dracula segment.

  • Seeing as how I have over 70 videos and how short the song is, and considering the amount of clips I could use, do you think that I really give a shit?

  • AES, I often wonder what motivates people like you. This is a series of clips. It is what it is. Do you have some kind of need to go thump people?

  • I thought John Carradine was terrific as Dracula! He made the part his own, which was an amazing feat as he had to follow the great Lugosi himself! He made have only had 7 minutes in HOUSE OF FRANKENSTEIN, but he made the most of those 7 minutes!

  • What is the music in this?

  • happy halloween

  • A Fine John Carradine tribute.

  • OMG! That "Naughty" at the end was from Courage the Cowardly Dog! ^=^ Nice vid.

  • thank you J.C.

  • It's kind of funny that 30 years and 40 years later respectively that Dracula would father a Kung Fu Master and a Nerd

  • it is Hooooooooooooooooooroooooooooooooooorrr

  • Fuck That..Bela Lugosi was far the best and gave Dracula the name it has today..

  • Without any doubt, the best Dracula was Christopher Lee

  • You're right. I think anyone who's ever played Dracula deserves a tribute.

  • HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

  • What is the music track that you used for this video? It's really good.

  • I can't remember, though I downloaded it on myspace by typing in "Immediate Music"

  • Very cool.

I liked John Carradine as the Count better than Lugosi.

Could you do some stuff with Christopher Lee too?

  • I did, and I'm finishing up a video of that, actually.

  • Over 30 years later, Dennis Weaver's "Marshal Sam McCloud" would run into Carradine's Dracula on the last episode of that classic TV show---

NBC Mystery Movie: "McCloud Meets Dracula"

  • I really like Carradine's take on Dracula. Bela Lugosi was a tough act to follow, but Carradine managed to imbue the role with his own creepy, hypnotic personality. "House of Frankenstein" is a really fun little film (although I think I prefer "House of Dracula" by a hair).

  • Yeah, Carradine did a great Dracula, though without the accent it doesn't seem as much as Stoker's Dracula.

  • @crawlfan

You kidding? In Stoker's book, the count is said to speak flawless english, without any accent.

  • @anton1990 Really? It's been a while since I've read the book. I've seen the Lugosi film so many times that maybe his performance is what's drilled in my mind as the actual Dracula. I'll look it up later, though.

  • Scary music.

  • awsome cral

  • wow
