I am disabled person and are Canada Pension Plan is being taken away while trust funds for rich is called earned income and allow to be kept. They say you can earn $500 a month great telling veteran 57 years old they can go work to have enough to live on and take away there pension by calling it unearned and giving them welfare rates of help. This is assault disabled are 4th class citizens

Police are trained to protect themselves from external danger.
Disabled person is than danger. Did Policeman know of her condition so clearly that it convinced him of her innocence? Its obvious for "unsuspecting, calm, and civilized" people, but police deals with brutality and drug addicts in the street, who are danger to you and them. Why is it such a big deal is a mystery to me.

There is no excuse or reason for treating someone this way, and a badge and gun don't justify bullying. The Vancouver police have had a bad reputation for a long time, and it's because they hire idiots like this. It's the same as a bar hiring the biggest bouncers they can. "legal" action is waste of money, time, and news coverage. This alone is a retarded coverage, not just because its wrong for "police" to push disabled woman, but because its not important. This kind of issue should be dealt through police disciplinary action, of that policemen.

Your upset that the media reported this? That is their job, to report the news. An officer who is a position of authority and is supposed to work for the people, just assaulted a handicap woman. If the media failed to report this to the public, then they would be covering up the officers actions.
When a person of authority abuses their power, there needs to be accountability. Canadian police are not held accountable unless their actions are caught on video, and shared.

There's just no excuse. My late wife was a multiple-sclerosis patient, and had to deal w/ enough daily frustrations---being assaulted by a cop would have drawn a nasty-big legal action, at the very least.

Outrageous and disgusting. I am struggling to find words to describe how furious I am at what I just saw here.
These officers failed that woman, their community, their peers/colleagues and themselves. Such cowardly bullies have no place on the force. In my opinion, they should be fired in disgrace and then charged to the full extent of the law.
Oh, and I commend the person who had the grace and decency to stop and help that woman after the attack. Bravo !

I have a great deal of respect for our police, but in this case, the guy was wrong. He pushed her after she was almost completely past him, for that he deserves a very long "unpaid" suspension or he should be fired.

the pigs got away with too much for too long. The new technology helps them out tremendously but at the same time they are going to have to worry more and more that they are going to get caught on tape.They also know that even tho they are on tape they still can literally get away with far too much. 6 months to investigate is ludicrous. They are hoping the public will forget all about it by then. He should be shot and pissed on.
