an Infuation Junkie is a person who is infatuated with with the idea of being of infatuated....alanis does not say wax...she is saying u ask poetically

She does say "wax" ....it is also a verb, which can be used to mean to increase in intensity, quantity, power, ect...or she could have meant it as the British usage, which she IS Canadian and they have similar slang/dialect...which would be a fit of anger. Both of which would fit the dialogue of the song. Do your research, people. Use a dictionary.
