The problem is, the Chronicles of Narnia are an allusion for the Biblical stories. That's how they were written by C.S. Lewis and that's how they remain and SHOULD be watched.

Jesus = the lion

Edmund = Judas/us

"turkish delight" = temptation

witch = devil

killing lion = crucifixtion of Jesus

pluss: in one of the later narnia stories the White Witch turns herself into a snake several times= Adam and Eve meet the snake that trick them into tasting the apple (which, in this case is "turkish delight")

But there are so many other elements in this story that I wouldn't put too much weight on the fact that the author believes in God!
