The Ariel atom V8 scored the top rank on the top gear track a few seconds before the Mclaren Mp4-12C (which btw is among my top 3 favourite cars), after that it was the Lambo Aventador, then a slightly sport-tuned Veyron, then Gumpert Apollo, Ascari A10, Koenigsegg CCX ( custom spoiler), Noble M600 and then at rank 8 the Nissan GT-R. It beats the Ferrari's pretty badly, so its still wicked.

My whole thing about the GT-R is that you look at the price and then you look at the price of the other cars it beats. And it can run near the rank of the Atom which has none of the bodywork and tech of the Nissan. I would own a GT-R. But only as part of a big garage. Yeah, seeing as it's built out of aluminium frame, an engine, a steering wheel and "x" number of turbos its the certain nr1 ( if you can deal with the decent danger-level) on-track. I'd say Honda's new 2012-13 thing would be my shot, if I'd consider buying a "relatively-cheap-to-buy-and-d­rive sportscar", I simply prefer Honda's engines over Nissan's. Its still a great car though.
