  • Questa canzone è stupenda ed è cantata e suonata in maniera superba.

  • steve cropper on guitar

  • no offense to a master frontman here, but look at his eyes. he's so fried he's not even in the solar system. still one of the best ever.

  • If Dion has lost it here I wish that so called loss on a lot of groups doing it live

  • Read an interview when I was about 13 (1963) and he said he did write that song about his one day wife because he was mad at her and wanted to hurt her for breaking up with him. Don't know if it was true, but it sure is a great song.

  • Outstanding Song. This is when music was music. Not the stuff we have today. Wish there was more of this music out there today!!

    bama6457

  • He's still got it!!!!!!! I love Dion!!!!!!!

  • Sue gave 6 people chlamydia.

  • Sue has absolutely nothing to do with his wife.

  • is it just me or does he look a little like Al Pacino

  • Damn he still sounded the same this is what a great singer sounds like even after his glory years

  • fuck the fast version we're fro Michigan

  • Dion is Dion. About as cool as it gets. Even in age.

  • Dion what a great singer...what style what great music....

  • He's great. Still is, no matter what. Thanks for uploading it!

  • THIS IS REAL

  • A pioneer , his songs are timeless like Sinatra.

  • Bring back doo wop music from the heart

  • Is that the original, dion? He sounds and looks so different from the original video release of this song.

  • @addersdream yes he is ,but remember the year of 1963 and the year 1990, a big difference in years. Just like me from 1970 to 2010 a little bigger and thinner on top but still have Mom's good looks...............

  • Love this. Gotta Dance!

  • You gotta love this!

  • This song is so great... All of us have our own Sue...

  • I'm 13 and I just saw him today at my school. He performed and talked to us. I didnt know who he was but turns out he's my art teachers dad! It was pretty cool. He's really nice and funny!

  • He still sounds great and I think his hat is awesome! In fact I wear a hat almost exactly like his hat today

  • He can do what he wants with them as he made them famous! The guy is a legend.

  • LOL!!!!!!!!!!! Because he's keeping them fresh and not getting bored with songs that he's sung maybe a 1000 times or more. He's having fun and invites us to join in that fun.

  • guys a legend

  • every singer gets older. but they're music still lives on.

  • I love Dion, but he's come to look like a giggalo in his old age!! wtf man

  • so true, dion has not been seen in public with out his hat since 1980 due to a massive bald patch

  • Isn't that a shame? It doesn't make you any less of a person if you lose your hair, does it?

    Thank you.

    Jennie.

  • Not at all, i was was just making a point in that he is always wearing a hat.

Hes still a great singer but he should stay away from the old hits and let people remind them the way they were

  • I think he still sounds great.

    Thank you.

    Jennie.

    P.s. All the best.

  • hahaha this made my day

  • IS HE STILL ALIVE GREAT SINGER

  • best song ever

  • When I worked with Dion in the 70s he told me this song was written about his wife, Sue. True story.

  • D has always said that when he originally wrote the song, the girl had a different name, but Sue worked better in the hook.But... truth be told, there was a time when D & Sue broke up & she dated Tony Orlando...

  • @abuiltmale If it is a true story, did he stay with her? I heard he used the name "Sue" because it rhymed easier than any other name. So, did he stay with Runaround Sue?

  • @sparklingmichele Not what Dion told me....his wife's name is Sue.

  • @sparklingmichele 100% True Dion married her and is still married to her. In fact Dion is a facebook friend of mine and we still talk from time to time., Dion lives in Boca raton, Florida and still performs.

  • @abuiltmale He married Runaround Sue, who "slept with EVERY GUY IN TOWN?" On Huckabee, (On YouTube) was asked "Who was Sue, or if there was a REAL Sue?"Dion said he used that name because it rhymed with a lot of words If I was his girlfriend, & he wrote a song telling the WHOLE world I was a slut or wrote after I marrying him, I would get a divorce. Are you sure it became a hit,, then, met a woman named Sue afterwards, and married her? He;s Italian as I am, we have a great sense of humor

  • @sparklingmichele Dion's wife's name is Sue...they are still married to this day. Close to 50 years I believe.

  • @abuiltmale I believe Dion's wife's name is Sue. I just doubt we are talking about that she is the same one that everyone called Runaround Sue "Who Slept With EVERY GUY IN TOWN." Have you read some of the comments about "Sue" in that song? Most likely he wrote it, Sue, as he said on "Huckabee" is a great name to rhyme to, then, met a woman named Sue and married her. God Bless Him for still being married to the same woman, they DON'T make men like that anymore.

  • @abuiltmale It is in fact about his wife.

  • @abuiltmale It is in fact written about his wife; to get her attention in high school he teased her that she was a "runaround..."

  • He changed the whole sound of this. It sounds like a cross between a Bob Marley song and country. . . Not as amazing as the original. Sorry Dion, I think the time has come to pack it away. I still give you mad props for you talent in the 50's + 60's .

  • respect urself mate how long has it been and how many times has he sung the original version of it im sure he is entitle to mix it up abit respect yourself wil ya

  • I have heard bands perform amazing live music. I just saw the Steve Miller Band less than a year ago, they are old but they still put on a much better performance than this. So though I understand what you are saying, there are still expectations that must be met and in my eyes Dion no longer achieves them

Not really sure what to make of "respct urself" I do not think that applies in the context you are using it. Pehaps, "respect Dion" or "check yourself" but I am not up on my slang phrases.

  • while I do admit D has lost some of his tonal quality over the years, this style of singing of his goes back to his love for R&B(with all the scatting). He IS a Legend, so the respect goes towards that.If he lost his voice completely, he will still be "THE MAN", nuff said...

  • I can accept that :)

  • NIce comment. Things change but talent is always there.

  • steve miller is maybe 20 years YOUNGER than this guy? i was around when both had their hey day. FT

  • well you must remember he has gotten older and the way he sings now is never going to be the same as it once was in the 50's and 60's dion is still there, just a diffrent tone!

  • この曲聴くとスリーファンキーズ思いだすな

    もちろんディオンが一番

  • great

  • My man, coolest dude there is. Just for today, and tomorrow and on and on!

  • Bring back the 50's...such talent!!!

    Way to go Dion!

We need you!!! How bout a tour????

  • makes you appreciate how tight the original was in 61...

  • pure Rock n Roll...thanks!

  • Was n it this guy and his band that took over after Buddy Holly after he died at the "Winter dance party!"

  • This "guy" is Dion, as much, if not more of a legend then Buddy Holly. Dion& the Belmonts were there from the beginning of the tour, they didn't take over.Carlo played drums for Buddy Holly sometimes on the tour, & Buddy played drums for the Belmonts too.D could have been on the plane, but form what I hear he didn't want to spend the $.

  • True, Dion is legendary and this song is epic! TRUE ROCK LIVES!

  • That was Bobby Vee and The Shadows.

  • Wowed then, wowed now.

  • i was there - and it was a fantastic exprience to be in the presence of rock n roll history. I thank the lord that iwas born and lived in these times. Stray Cats, Dion and Dave Edmunds still rockin'. I am truly priveleged. I even spoke to Dave edmunds brother in Canada... I am a lucky lucky person... Mikey xx

  • A classic never gets old

  • Amazing.

  • keep the sound forever, pure old rock and roll

  • I read a long time ago that Dion had written this song about a girl called "Roberta" that he had dated but that they changed her name in the song to "Sue" because "Runaround Sue" sounded better than "Runaround Roberta"

  • very true story

  • wow, the first 45rpm record i ever bought, when i was discovering rock and roll, wow, what wonderful memories

  • Thanks, Dion, for bringing this type of music into my life many years ago.

  • He might even be better now than when he first recorded this!

  • Dion sings great here! I believe in that voice.

  • For you kids out there...put this song in your CD player in your car and see if you can drive slow...it is not possible!!!

  • felicitacion fuera de aqui,, grupo argentino plagiador de canciones de Dion Runaround
