Note that a Great Song doesn't require guitar solos or fast playing or impossible technique... All of these are "extras"--nice, but ONLY IF they fit the Great Song...
On the other hand, there is no guitar solo or fast playing or impossible technique that can transform a bad or mediocre song into a Great Song...
