Nice video. Well made and narrated! My favorite Ford vehicles are: 1939/40 (new model) Ford, 1939 Lincoln Continental, 1949 Ford, mid 50's Mercury, 1956/57 Lincoln Mk ll, 1970 Mustang Mach l...and yes, the model T and model A. Hope to visit Greenfield and the Ford museum someday.
Thanks for posting; I am a big fan of Mr. Ford. I admire him for all he did. I have read many books about Ford. Thanks to all Mr. Ford's accomplishments and treasures like the Ford Museum, Greenfield etc.
Your ignorance of History allows the rumors to continually live on. Henry Ford employed Many Jews, Blacks, Chinese, Disabled among others. His book "The International Jew" was written about the Jewish Bankers who at the time were financing WW1 and pitting countries against each other in their search for profits thru War Loans/Bonds.
Henry Ford spoke out against The Powerful Jewish Bankers who wished to Profit from War. He didn't hate The Jewish Peoples or their religion. He hated war mongers.
Its obvious Ford hated Jews...he was a fascist, a Nazi, and also there is footage of him dancing with a man. Hitler disigned the VW with the Model T in mind for his inspiration. Do some more research. Read the entore title too, "The International Jew, The Worlds Problem"

sorry but i don't care. I made that video for a school project two years ago. But if you feel that it is your duty to critique high school projects then you can go right ahead.
Henry ford was a Nazi lover. So lets see the Nazis where our enemy, as well as the Japs right. So why did he get such a high medal from hitler and why did he help the nazi war machine by helping them increase production thereby extending the war and killing more GI,s.Very Patriotic old Henry. Check out the utube site about henry helping the nazis
Thanks for that comment. I never knew that Henry Ford was a Nazi sympathiser, it's not common knowledge in the UK. Just read HFR's comment about bankers starting WW1 & WW2 and thought, was Kaiser Willem & Adolf Hitler bankers you retard.
Nice presentation of Ford's positive side. There's a darker side as well, though, such as his tormenting his son Edsel to an early death, and such mismanagement of the company toward the end of his life that he almost destroyed it.
You miss a point about the T model and high wages.
Work on ford's assembly lines was much more exhausting, back-breaking and boring than traditionnal factories, people didn't stay for long. So he had to pay them higher to have a well-trained workforce. Once the other automakers got the same system, wages started to fall again.
beside, the T was cheap versus other cars but still costed 6 months to 1 year of wage. It's medium farmers who bough it not those who built it.
Your video was well informative and easy to understand. Which was needed for school information so we thank you for posting!
For everyone who is posting such politic comments...I will say since we are the freedom of speach..."SHUT UP" It's just a freaken report done in a nice manner that doesn't have to be so depressing!! Again thanks for posting the nice video.
I'm pro-AFL-CIO and companies that care about their workers rather than an idiot boss that yells at them everyday even though you do the best you can in your job.
one more thing. A lot of great cars that have lasted for decades were not made on the "assembly line". They were made by dedicated and skilled craftsmen. I'm talking about the Duesenburg. The assembly line destroyed a lot of skill and apprenticeship. Now we go to K-Mart and some teenager behind a counter in customer service hardly understands why we brought a defective product back in, that was made by some unskilled assembly line worker that was bored that day.
FYI.... Duesenburg didn't make automobiles. They specialized in coaches, or bodies. They would sell them to other manufacturers. But I do see your point.
well without the assembly line the American industrial boom would have been signifcantly smaller and we might not have become the world power we are, also the assembly line helped the common man because skilled workers couldn't make cheap cars that could supply the american lower and middle class population. So Mr. Ford's cars benefitted millions of people instead around a thousand rich guys
in extension of what I said in my post below...I meant that labor unions were still not happy in respect to how the workers were treated in the Ford factory. there were even some violent strikes in regard to this. Henry hated labor unions. Just read your history. I really think this video did not show the downside to the assembly line and just churning out stuff like a robot. I'm not making this up...i've seen it discussed on PBS.
The reason that the labor union are not not mentioned with teh history of Ford is becuase practically every major company has had problems with labor unions. The one violent strike your referencing was becuase workers want higher wages when the were makeing just over the naitonal average income. He also got in trouble for not proving lunchbox space in some of his factories. Henry Ford hated labor unions because he thought they were bad for the economy which has been proven true today.
boring / bland looking car. no wonder Chevy started outselling them in the 1920s. They were low, stylish, longer hood, and had more vibrant color options and power. this was a car for "everyman". I guess Henry Ford was a liberal leaning socialist. I disagree with this video. even at 5 dollars a day, the men would quit because it got so boring. Labor Unions were upset with this. At least try to be even sided. You cannot disregard General Motors. I think GM workers had better benefits.
Its true that GM was a great company, but they didn't not perfect the assembly line, Henry Ford did. Thats why GM can seem disregarded early on. Also ford was teh everyman car for 17 years before Chevy, and chevy only had a 7 year reign when it was topped by Ford in sales in 1927. It was not topped until the world wars when he decided to help the army out by using his planets to make jeeps and airplanes. After the wars ford reclaimed the title of the everyman car in the 50's .
This video is perfect for the many brainwashed people who don't have a clue about automotive heritage and history. Keep up the good work. I give it 2 thumbs up!

The newspapers and Print media of the 1920's and 30's tell of the real history.
Something the TV show you watched last month/year can't tell or correctly portrait..
There is a lot more to history then the A&E propaganda "Special" you watched a while back.
You'd all do wise to learn to read a 1920's newspaper article or 2, Millions of which are Located in Library of Congress.
VettesAre4FAGGOTS 2 years ago
Blitz3086 and others..What's obvious is that you are as ignorant of history as it comes.
Few here haven actually done any research Nor have they read any of the trade newspapers from the teens thru to the present.
OK, so you may have watched it all on Foxnews and CNBC but come on,
Where was where any of those companies or reporters in 1921 or even in the 40's?
They weren't there and neither were you.
Learn to read and learn based on original newsprint and not to believe what the TV tells you.
