messiet: thanks so much!! yes, the whole thing is fondant. there are many ways of getting the shiny look, the most common is using a steamer to make the fondant slightly wet (this also depends on the humidity of your location)

Loving your videos, so professional and the music choices are great! Well done. I'm searching You Tube for tips on how to decorate my son's Birthday cake and I wish there were more videos like yours.
