To be honest I didn't care for most cars from the 70's. However, this car is one huge exception. I like these cars a lot. They were nice looking and also nicely designed. Even the interior was implemented with some restraint. Granted its a boat mobile but a very comfortable ride. I also liked the unusual and unique front wheel drive engineering that went into these cars. What a nice car. :)
I used to have a small business detailing cars when I was 20 years old. These cars were just 4 years old then. I would pick them up and deliver when finished...if needed. I always loved to drive the big caddys and lincolns. When you would go over railroad tracks you felt nothing. Hard to say which rode better. After getting out of each car after driving it you might say, the lincoln, then drive the caddy right after saying that, then you would say the caddy. What do you all think?
God, this is a proper Cadillac, what a Caddy should be. I really dislike the new CTS-V because it is just a copy of the BMW M5 and the Mercedes C and E class AMG things. It just doesn't feel right for a Cadillac.
Btw: Im guessing you guys have seen the Cadillac Sixteen, now thats a proper car!
We all cant share same opinions but I really like the new CTS-V :) Its raw beauty! And yes this is a real proper car on the video ;) my dream next to a Fleetwood or Deville of the same year.
And Sixteen..ohh! What a gorgeous goddess it is!
Thanks for commenting on this great video! Take care!
I can vouch for the fact that these are extremley reliable and amazing to drive.I have a 77 eldorado and it is easy to work on, and an all around great car, turns heads wherever it goes.
beautiful car, and it's GENTLEMAN style, not ghetto style! love it!

@jkeelsnc Are you more of a 50s car guy ?
67tr876 6 months ago
@67tr876 50's and 60's I'd say. There are a few specific models from the 70's that ARE interesting though just like the Eldo.

Elegant Caddy for sure! I love the huge land yachts from back in the day.
What happened to the "train horn" sound? Sound like the horn is missing a couple notes.

how much do you reckon it would cost to rebuild a '76 cadillac eldorado engine?
tomescuadi 2 years ago
I dont know really =/ Hope someone has the answer for you!
Found pistonheads for 239 US dollars and that is 685.022 RON for you ;)
Coupe7576 2 years ago

tomescuadi 2 years ago
Tomescuadi: 2000 dollar will be 5 738 Romanian leu for you ;)
Coupe7576 2 years ago
if you do it yourself you could get it done for around $2,000, having someone do it could be $5,000 depending on the person.
i know to replace cam, timing chain etc etc it is about $500 parts
