  • @mountainacer

SHIT you gotta post some videos, orrrrrrrr you could just be talking shit.......

  • There's more to life than a Volvo. That's why You use one. XD

  • really nice machine

  • nice!

  • what is this

  • do ayone know why its black in the front?

  • @naver72 Its matt black on the front to reduce glare off the bonnet on sunny days

  • Thats badass. The kind of place I would like to work.

  • Smart steering system...

  • Great video!

  • the best adt in the world

  • Perfect

  • Weve only the 1 Volvo in our fleet (of about 20 bloody Hiatchis - which are rebadged bell's).

and the damn thing gets bogged easier than anything else, then lacks the guts (im not sure what the actual issue is), to get out... full throttle = no power to the wheels when bogged, some safety item perhaps...

If anyone has a operating manual for one of these trucks please contact me. as the bloody switchboard is all in japanese!

  • without a doubt the most boring job i've ever had

fun for like 2 weeks and then it's absolute misery

everyday..... back and forth back and forth up to 120 times a day. good money though.

  • well thats actually not good money everywhere, not where i live : ( but well... work isnt supposed to be fun though, its supposed to be okay, then u and ur colleeges makes it fun : )

  • You gotta drive faster, find a few jumps, maybe a lil drifting in the mud. You gotta make it fun. But i suppose it depends on who you work for. My foreman said give er hell, the faster you go the more money we make. You'd be surprised at what one of these things can do. I hit a 4 foot fill backwards at wide open one time and got the whole truck about 6 foot off the ground.

  • nice job man...and that reversing is amazing

i do this job 4 years ago. in n.ireland.,,nice land,, not easy work, not easy to easy..

    gute gemoglichkeite..

  • the best ADT in the world

  • iv drove dump truck drove diggers all sizes from 2ton to 45 tons for over 20 yrs and volvo will take a lot to beat .

  • Nice big Donaldson airfilter on the side :-)

  • It's actually A Volvo Outter Air ;)

Donaldson will work in a pinch but Nothing compared to the quality of OEM !

Ps. i am a partsman for Volvo Construction Eqp. N.A

  • I ran A40C's. We had them in a quarry. Excellent trucks. I usually loaded them with a 375LME. Stripping over burden, I could load them in one pass. The D series was the sweetest thing I ever ran. Even Cat guys told me there were getting their ass handed to them by Volvo art trucks...

  • Volvo rock trucks have always been the best. Finally, after many years, Caterpillar ditched their HORRIBLE D350 and D400 type rock trucks and almost copied a new slope nosed Volvo. But Volvo is STILL the best. The idiots at Cat didn't even put the driver's seat in the center of the cab. And when the air conditioning eventually breaks in the newer Cats, the driver is going to roast. And there are plenty of other problems with the Cat's.

  • for sure, the cats suck ass. Had to drive one when my 40 ton volvo was getting brakes fixed. No A\C the air ride did'nt work, and it was slow as shit. The john deere's were out running me, which was hard to take cause my volvo would smoke they're ass.

  • thats what i call near perfect rhythym

  • thats because you dont do this work.. a good man would turn round at the top of the ramp and reverse down, its quicker and less bouncing.

  • yeah ok cuz that just wouldnt fuck up the rythymn at all would it... considering ones getting loaded while the other would be backing down and in the other rock trucks way think a little bit

  • and all the extra moves backing around going forward its all one motion i hate rock truck drivers that think they know what there doing when im trying to laod them my way and they cant take a hint

  • haha.. arrogant prick, iv been on plant for 16 years-your not even smart enough to be an idiot dump truck driver.. *sigh* turn around behind the digger when the truck PULLS CLEAR, full lock left hand down and under the bucket.. you thick shit.

  • well its thanks to us scum that you have roads to drive on. houses to live in. warehouses so store goods. shops to sell the goods. if it wasnt for us scum none of that would exist. i would normally delete comments like that but will leave your one up for all to see.

  • hehe too rite! this is boring and mundane?? he drives a lorry along boring motorways at the same limited speed in a little uniform, tryin to keep between the little white lines, has to stop for a sleep in the back after a few hours and probably does the same run day in day out! rock and roll!!

  • What a boring mundane job they have driving those Tonka toys. good job Eddie Stobart brings some joy to the the public with thier superb fleet and immaculate drivers. not like the scum in this video. uurrgghh! vermin losers at their best. SCUM.

  • At least the guys in this video aren't holding everyone up on the roads, unlike the stobart SCUM.

  • How long has Volvo been in the heavy machinery business?

  • In 1913 Munktells (wich is incorporated wich Volvo since 1950's) made their first heavy machinery, and it´s from Munktells most of Volvo´s heavy machines originate.

  • Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. I own a Volvo S60 and never would of though they made heavy machinery.

  • Volvo cars and Volvo CE (construction equipment) is not the same company anymore. Volvo cars is owned by Ford, and Volvo CE is a independent company same as Volvo trucks. But it used to be the same company...

  • ya I know...i wish they were still the same. Id like a diesel engine in my S60 and more diesel in the Volvo lineup, but no such luck really...

  • Cool Hand Luke says, move this pile there then when you're done move it back here!

  • i make these for a living any questions is ok and i will try to make a reply to it and yes they are awsome machines

  • Got the operators manual. We recently purchased one for our company in australia yet we did not receive an operators manual. (the older volvos are easy as piss to work out, but this is the same model as those pictured), with the annoying little computer....

  • And more confortable too :)

  • Безусловно,интересная машина-гусеница!

  • I would have liked to se when he started that after he got it filled up :D.

Is it a automatic gearbox in it?

  • aup m8 i work 4 molding is that bull shit bob sill ther

  • In a mine. It was mining.

    Btw nice toy

  • Where was this filmed and what was the job?

  • I filmed it at a landfill site in Essex UK they were lining a new waste cell

  • That's exactly what i thought it looked like they were doing. Dunno who the idiot was who said it was a mine and mining, there's always one lol.

  • they have to dig down to the blue clay and seal it, then put in a layer of boulder clay which has to be engineered into a basin, then it has a layer of liner membrane and 20mm stone to finish the job.

  • I've seen the process done before, but i thought i'd ask just to make sure. I had a hire on a landfill working on the capped section digging trenchs for and putting in gas pipes to take the methane from the well points. It's got a pretty strong smell.

  • Yeah but there are plenty out there who wouldnt have a clue, many still think you just dig a hole and in goes the rubbish :o) the site i work on only takes builders waste not household, so not to bad on the smell side thankfully

  • I used to work at a household site, it takes a while but you do get immune to the smells after a while. We got a network of gas pipes going in at the moment and also putting in a perm flare to burn it all off.

  • nice equipment.

  • Nice vid.
