Hey Doug--how do you do the internal framing??? I dont know if youve seen my last vid--if so youll know ive had to halt my project--im doing a small 27 flat bottom tugboat in lieu of the sub
- the designer says it could work for origami--so im off to look at all your vids on it...where did you learn to do the origami style? I can send you a couple renderings of the tug if you like?
@porpoisefathom Cool! Join the origamiboats group on Yahoo and post your renderings. There are little to no frames in oragami hulls, but our boat will have watertight bulkheads that get installed before the decks.
Nice vid, just got back from, Montpelier, Vermont, three day trip, dropping, Alex our son off for collage, it was -18 yesterday, here you go, see ya, the cape feels like the bahamas right now! :)
sonofabeech- thats some plate!! whats the temp down in your part of the universe? was - 36 celsius with wind chill today-yet i radiused some rebar...this is great keep em' comin'
@submarineboat thats minus 36! near Georgian Bay, in a place called Sudbury Ontario-its about 4 hours due north from toronto.
Me too! would love to be outside lofting my frames- its frustating. but good vids like yours-help the winter pass. you gotta show the "lift" again-- i am assuiming this is the mirrored side to the other 74 ft sheet to weld up? that'll be very satisfying when you do weld them together.
@porpoisefathom We've done that lift 6 times for that one side, it's old hat to us now. We learned that is not to be tried in wind over 16 mph. And it will be at least 3 more months and 6 more flips before it starts becoming 3D, but we'll get there. Minus 36! Have you considered moving?
@Norbury53 Nice play on words. :) ... now I could live in Sydney, just may not be able to afford living in Sydney. ....I watched the Sydney New Years fireworks. Great show! ...and then went to bed at 11p. Let's do it again next year. :)

@KEF791 Thanks. I know what you're talking about. I told people my son was 18 for three years. Enjoy that weather, it can't last forever.

@submarineboat ha ha it IS 36C where I am, (45C in the shed - must get it insulated). I would much prefer 57F (14C)

@Norbury53 I'm firmly of the opinion that nobody should live north of Kansas. :)

@submarineboat @submarineboat (I can't resist it) I've a feeling I'm not in Kansas any more - I'm over the rainbow in Oz (Sydney actually) ;-).
