I have just listened to her Gioconda and Amelia from the MET recorded a few years ago. There is something I do not understand, she still has a great, beautiful voice, why she does not perform? I know there is one concert this year in N.Y. but shouldn´t she have more opportunities? Why does not she sing at the MET? Why do not have her in Europe? Aprile, where are you? Please, return!

I saw her last performance of Tosca at the Met a couple years ago. I'd just heard La Boheme earlier that day with Villazon and some other younger singers. The vocal and dramatic performance from Millo and Morris in Tosca by far blew the younger performers out of the water. Who knows whats on the GD's minds.

Her voice stands out as unique a characteristic of all the greatest voices. I can spot it in a second and it is the greatest spinto soprano I ever heard live in house or on recording and thats going to opera mainly in Chicago for over 50 years, every season. Her singing has it all, great voice and artistry.
