there is sound but in minimum athmosphrere it is slower and not loud enough to here 4 our ear then in every sunsystem its the same there is no nothing there is gas but not much. dammed im german and dont know the special words to explain sorry m8 in short it means there is sound but a human cant hear. and if u go out of system then after lightyears comes a point where is nothing and at this point u here nothing. hope it helps. worse english xDDDD

You're right.. it's the white dwarf that's supposed to explode. By accreting mass from the Red Giant, the White Dwarf would eventually reach Chandrasekhar limit and explode! This is not made by NASA..
The white dwarf is the star that is supposed to explode, not the red giant. This video is clearly an attempt to illustrate a type 1a supernova, because such a supernova is the only type that ever involves binary stars and the accretion of matter. Whoever made this video exploded the wrong star.
You are close but not quite right, I think. In all neutron-star neutron-star binaries the second supernova occurs when accretion onto the first-formed neutron star is still in progress. This movie could illustrate such a system.

If the red giant explodes it leaves behind a blackhole, if its mass is at least three times the sun, otherwise white dwarf will be created.

This is a nice simulation of how a supernova makes itself.
