  • beautiful stuff thanks for the upload! have longer version?

  • I was lucky enough to see him in 1979 on the "Guitars and Women" tour at a small county college in my area. My very first concert. He played this song that night, but used his gorgeous BC Rich Mockingbird. I'm an average guitar player at best, but if you listen closely there are very few effects on ricks guitar....just pure Rick with some nice overdrive. Such a great song too.

  • This defines beauty of Rock Guitar

  • bad azz m@#$%^funker !!!!

  • in his prime, the fastest man alive.

  • No delay and very little (if any) reverb. Amazing guitar work! Rick D was my very first concert in the late 70's ay a local community college. He played the BC Rich mockingbird back then...wish he still did.

  • The single most under rated guitarist in all music history. This is where Maelsteen, Satriani, and the rest learned their chops. This guy played R&R Hoochie Coo 37 years ago!

  • I was lucky enough to see him in 1976

as a back up to Alice Cooper. I was already a fan since "All American Boy."

Awesome show, I think it was Tarrant

Co. Convention Ctr.. Ft. Worth Tx. AC was Great, too.

  • @CONDOMSENSE Like you, I was lucky to see him in the 70's as well on the Guitars and Women "tour". It was my very first concert, and it was at a small community college in my area. I was around 15 at the time and we sat on the floor 5 feet from Rick. He played the BC Rich Mockingbird all night.

  • Get His CD All American Boy It Rocks and This

  • heh... just that short film, shows his capabilities. Not bad at all for an old guy

  • I thought Rick Derrenger did his best work when he was with the McCoys. This is very good though.

  • @John1948Nine come on dude. wake up.... Rick Derringer has played with Steely Dan, Todd Rundgren, Hall and Oates, Alice Cooper, Edgar Winter and soo many more.. NO doubt we need to enjoy and recognize his talents..but his best is wayyyy better than Hang on Sloopy.... you need to find out more about Rick...
