  • 2:53 that picture was so badass xD You looked almost EXACTLY like Morticia, maybe you already had some resemblance of her...

  • @malonbu Thank you so very much for saying that :D I adore Morticia!

  • Where do you get this wig? It's so amazing!

  • @CatherineSarkisian Ebay!! You can't go wrong there :D

  • Do you use mixing medium with the white cromacake? Is it better than just apply it with water? Will it crack? Pls tell me. Thank you.

  • @mnicolaidou The water is streaky with the chromacake - and that's what I used because I didn't have mixing medium in my kit. But - I recommend forgoing chromacake and getting full coverage in white. MUCH smoother application - so easy to work with.

  • wow

  • please have this more slow

  • identica i like

  • This is the song morticia and Gomez tangoed to lol nicee

  • nice!

  • what colour did you use for the eyes hon?> love it...

  • @420sexybetty Nehru and Carbon I believe - both MAC shadows!

  • perfecta

  • Your make up looks AMAZING! My husband and I are going to be Morticia and Gomez for Halloween this year. I did a practice run of my make up today and the white make up I got is not covering like yours seems to. What kind did you use?? I just got the classic white cream stuff that you can get from Wal-Mart or Spirit Halloween. I would really appreciate any suggestions you have to get it to cover better. Thanks and again great job :)

  • @kaylaraewilde Thank you! You know - white base used to be the bane of my existance. The problem is - most are streaky - especially cake makeup like the one I used in this video. But I did discover the EASIEST product to work with - it's a little pricy as it's MAC cosmetics - but if you go to a MAC pro store location and pick up their full coverage in white - you won't be disappointed. Goes on smooth and flawless!

  • Wooow perfect make up! *_* Thanks for the video, I think I will use your suggestions for Halloween costumes!

  • I agree with whoever said that the foundation is too pale. It looks too much like a ventriloquist puppet, and Morticia is not creepy, she is classy. But I like the way you moved the eyebrows up, that is hard to do.

  • haha i remember going as her is 1st year :) loved it <3

  • What brand and number or type of lashes did you use?

  • This is truly a good Morticia makeup.Do you have any video that teaches it step by step?Especially the eyes.good job, though

  • I think the look is incredible! Do you have any suggestion for the color of blush you used? That and the technique for the eyes would be much appreciated! My fiance and I as well as our 6 year old son are doing Addams family for Halloween and this makeup is awesome

  • @tamishanna Thank you so much! The blush was "cubic" I believe by MAC - which is basically just a neutral shade with a slight pink undertone. For the eyes start with a light grey shadow to define where you want the shadow to be placed (around your crease and angled slightly towards the brows at the corners). Once you've done the light grey, darken the crease concentrating mostly near the outside third of the eye. The last photo in the video should give you the best general idea!

  • Everything is great except for the foundation. WAY too white. Mix it with regular foundation because Morticia is PALE not clown white.

  • @AngelofMusic101 I actually used this foundation because of my friend who was the key makeup artist for The Addams Family television show :) The movie might of been slightly different :)

  • @kitnkabootle Ohhh!

  • @AngelofMusic101

uhhh the more white....the more goth.. The foundation she used is perfect

  • Amazing!! I love this! :D My school is doing the Addams Family as a play right now, so I have 2 questions:

    1. Where did you get that awesome wig?

    2. What is the music?

    Thanks!

  • amazing! xx

  • You look sickly divine! The only and best Morticia makeup there is on yt! Hey, do you remember who is the composer and the title of the piece played in your tutorial? I would really like to know. Thx.

  • @MikiOkMu Thank you for such kind words. The music was borrowed from the soundtrack of the film, and I'm not sure who composed it! I'm sorry :) I appreciate your kind words!

  • luv it

  • Nice work!

    i liked a lot!:)

  • love this

  • i REALY love the into music from 00:00 to 00:47 its just amazeing :)

  • brillaint Morticia is such a lvoely looknig woman. I used to have such a thing for her and still do i guess

  • perfect!!!!

  • That last photo... oh my god. Perfect!

  • amazing!!!! and pretty cool :)

  • vas acelerada no s entiende nada

  • whatssssssss the songg!!!!!! D:

  • esta mui weno

  • This is really good! any tips on how to do wednesdays make up as my friend is going as morticia but i'm going as Wednesday:) and where did you get your face paint or whatever you used from, reply before halloween if possible please :D x

  • @MissBluenose14 - They made Wednesday more of a mix in skin tones between Morticia and Gomez so you might not want to use a full out white face makeup (if you want authentic). Buying a very very pale foundation would probably be enough and if it was a cream foundation you could add a touch of white clown makeup (that you can get anywhere around Halloween) to make it paler. The base I used here is MAC's Full Coverage in White.

  • @MissBluenose14 For the makeup - you want to use a soft reddish brown around the eyes to make them look almost sickly / a little sallow. Then you want to add a similar color to the lips (don't use the lipstick out of the tube - put it on your finger and blot it on to your lips to make it look more natural) A tiny bit of gray in the area beneath the eye will help with the illusion of the pale/sickly/dead Addams complexion.

  • @kitnkabootle Thanks for the help, i'll try that :D

  • este tuto me gusto mucho gracias!

  • SUPER

  • FINALLY!!!! A decent video of how to do Morticia's make up. I am following your version for this Halloween.

    LOVE IT!!!

  • this is excellent:)

  • Bravo!!

  • Lol, it's very easy

    1) add white

    2) add more black

    3) add more black

    4) define your black

    5) add lipstick

  • @WeakChopper Thank you very much!

  • Nice!

Did you just put on the cream color base as it is or did you prep it with something to make it more smooth and glide on better?

  • @zonko82 Well here's the deal. I used MAC's Cream Color base in White and I only had water to use it with. It's pretty much cake makeup. You can by the MAC Fix solution that you can mix and make it go on smoother. But instead, after this video I bought MAC's "Full Coverage" from the Pro store in white. It's WAY easier to work with as it's exactly like their full coverage base makeup.

  • @kitnkabootle Thanks for the answear.

Did you wet the color base with a sponge or did you take some out from the box first? I don't use mine that often. I would love to get the white full coverage but I don't live near a pro store :-(

  • @zonko82 I wet the sponge until it was soaking and then added water to the lid and kept adding more water when needed. It's SO hard to work with. If you make a mistake, you almost have to remove the whole side to get it working again. But patience will pay off!

  • wow you look like her.

  • te quedo genial!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Just a suggestion I'd make my lips bigger and use lip gloss (transperant)..

Other than that I LOVE THE LOOK!!! I'm doing this look for my mom she's a fan..

and totally letting me do her makeup!! Which is awesome!!!

That's cool a makeup idea, thanks...

  • @MsEastLos323 - Thanks for the suggestions :) However, the lips were drawn thinly to imitate Angelica Houston's (Morticia's) lip shape. Also her lips were matte in the film, which is why I did not go with gloss :)

  • I dunno if you can sing or act, but you've got the look for Morticia.

    Love this.

*now is planning to be Wednesday next year*

  • Greeaattt job!!! Im planning on being Morticia for halloween and my bf will be Gomez lol :P but yeah, if you could post a vid for the eye make up part would be great...

PS. Where'd you get the white face makeup?

  • @RomaGoddess The face makeup I used in this video is HORRIBLE. I don't recommend it. It's very streaky (the MAC Cake makeup). However I did end up getting Mac's Full Coverage Foundation in White recently and I absolutely adore it. Streak-free and extremely opaque.

I don't have a slow version of my eye makeup but I think there's a few videos on youtube with slow closeups of it. However, if you aren't able to find it let me know in a few weeks and I can post one.

  • oh my god!! this is like the BEST morticia make up ever!!! THANK YOUUU!!! I am so happy, because my face structure is a bit different than hers & I thought I could never look really similar, but now I can see that with right make up technique you can do just about anything!! you look just like her!!! GREAT job!!! <3

  • i love this. i love this so much. could you do a tutorial on the eye make up parts? you look awesome. bravo!

  • hi i am wade america.of new york . morticia is my idol. shes simple classic horor beauty queen,i like your skills your talent is amazing,.thanks for inspiring me,. i will never for get you. i learn alot.from what you shown us,. add me UP on facebook, wade america. lets be friends..

  • Awesome :) which technique do you use to cover your brows ? :)

  • oh can u do a wensday addams makeup tutorial

  • nice video =) im actually thinking about dressing up like morticia this halloween 2010

  • very exceptional work!!

the only thing is, your eyebrows were a little long and thick, at least for the movie character :), you should've left emphasis on the front part of your eyebrow and the arch and so on should've been left thin :).

Otherwise exceptional work, truly beautiful :)

  • beautiful job!! :) And, no, I don't think you have to lose 40 lbs...you are absolutely beautiful! Wonderful "playing around" :) For a playing around makeup session, your makeup came out flawless! :) Now, I think you and I should dance the Mamushka!! :) But, no throwing knives please, at least, not in the house. :)

  • I love that makeup! Wish I could wear it for everyday!

  • Great makeup. Congratulations.

  • 5 stars <3

  • Too cute :)

  • Whoa, amazing! Fantastic make up <3

  • EXELENTE DEVERDAD TE PARESES DEMACIADO......FELIZIDADES TE LA RIFAS MUY BN MUY LINDA

  • @nere996 That's what she said.

  • I love morticia Adams.

    Your video was wonderful!

  • Now if you can just lose 40 pounds you'll be a dead ringer for Morticia! :-)

  • @cottonwhiskersuk Why thanks... that's a very gentlemanly thing to say

  • @cottonwhiskersuk dude...thats such a dick thing to say..

  • @cottonwhiskersuk what a douche. shut the fuck up. skinny doesn't always mean pretty, and she is nowhere near fat or anything close to that. she's WAY more beautiful than most "skinny" chicks i see, so shut the hell up. to kitnkabootle, you look awesome, and great job! <3

  • @lydiabones Wow! Well thank you for coming to my rescue ;) That's an incredibly sweet thing to say :)

  • great!

  • My Wife would like to know what make up products you used in the vid. Thanks.

  • @sgtturdsniff - MAC Products: Cream Color Base in 'White', Blush in 'Mocha', Chromacake Eyeliner in 'Black Black', Eyeshadow in 'Carbon' and 'Nehru'. Pigment Powder in 'White', Lip Liner in 'Redd' and Lipstick in 'Russian Red'.

  • whats the name of the two first songs?:D

    and btw this is amazing!

where did you buy you're face cream!?!!?

  • @crackkwhore69 The songs are both from The Addams Family soundtrack. Also the face cream is White Cream Color Base by MAC Cosmetics

  • that was way cool, whats the classical/opera musik its very beautiful

  • its in the addams family values when they are in the bar/restaurant place

  • pretty darn good, beautiful to say the least:)

  • it't perfectly made

  • he he he nice one!! now...you only need one thing.....yup....you need him....gomez......now where?

  • Awesome! Very well done! :D

  • wow

  • WOW you actually really looked like her!Awesome job

  • Thank you!

  • Mrs. Meers is so proud of you ;) What a team we would be in this get up!

  • Oh indeed! I love you!

  • Ps you do Meersy makeup better then any man should.

  • PPS when the rights are available we should do The Addams Family Musical. Bebe and Nathan are playing Morticia and Gomez - it opened last night in Chicago.

  • I hope this hasn't already been addressed, but could you tell me what you're using for your eyebrows? Thanks!

  • My own eyebrows are flattened by mortician's wax (no spirit gum or wax sealer as is ideal, but I only intended to wear this for an hour.) Then to paint them on I used a brush and MAC Fluid Line in Black.

  • wow gasp

  • i had a little practise and i cant do the eyeshadow at all!

it sort of went all over the place! XD

    any tips?

    xx.

  • Try to use a small brush to create the crease line first, and then blend over top of it with a brush that has barely anything on it. The key is windshield wiper like motions and REALLY work at it. Don't give up and don't hestitate to use the pad of your finger to blend it right into the skin.

  • Just wondering what you used for your eyebrows??

  • You can use anything really, but to get a fine point and an easy glide, use cream liner (or liquid) with a thin brush.

  • I LOVEEEEED :D CONGRATULATIONS

  • great video! it will help me alot since I'll get dressed as Morticia this halloween, and had some thoughts about the make-up and stuff. But this will help me alot! Thanks :)

btw, what's the song called? i know it's the addams family, but this version?

  • I'm also going as Morticia, and seeing as how I'm a guy, it's DEFINITELY going to be a challenge.. there may be a little more contouring involved.. lol! Any suggestions?

  • Believe it or not - I specialize in drag makeup :) I actually employed a bit of it here in this video - my blocking out my natural eyebrows with mortician's wax first. I didn't have any wax sealer though to help cover them, and I would do that next time.

Yes the main thing is contour, contour, contour! usually with drag I contour the face first and then apply the foundation as it softens lines, but in this case - white base is hard to do that with. It's very opaque.

  • Sooooo, I would suggest apply the base first and look at Angelica Houston's face (as Morticia) try to add shadow where it falls on her face and highlight the prominent areas with a shimmery white shadow.

    You'll look great :D

  • Thanks so much! Maybe I'll get some good photos and show you my result.. I'm planning to do a practice run today of the look and see what I can come up with. Your video has been of great help and I'm going to check out your other videos as well! Thanks again :)

  • I'm glad doll - if you need more help just ask! I'd be glad to be of assitance! Good luck becoming one of the most sensual feMALEs of cartoon/tv/movie history.

    And do share pics!

  • Waaant a real tutorial please please please ♥ This is awesome !

  • Sorry, I'm no good at those!!

  • But this is awesome ! So could do it without the speed ? Oh sorry for my bad english i'm french :)

    xoxo

  • I do have the files without speed, but it took me about an hour to do.

  • °__° Perfection. °__°

    I need an eyelineeeeeeeer! çOç

  • Wow! You nailed the look completely! I have a friend who is doing Morticia as well and I'm going to e-mail her the link to yoru video. It's amazing how you got the look so accurately. Thanks!! :)

  • Thank you!

  • Brilliant! And you got it right straight away! I even manage to get my liquid eyeliner on my cheeks.. :)

  • Lol I try!! Thank you!

  • this is way cool.

did you do your eyebrows with liquid eyeliner? xx.

  • omg that is way good

  • what is the white stuff you put on your face???? Please, tell me.

  • MAC Color Base in White.

  • Well, I cant afford that base, do u think that the regular white makeup they sell at walmart is safe for the face?

  • It's actually called MAC "Chromacake" that I used - but I prefer Full Coverage Pro - in 'white'

  • I am not sure about that - as I haven't used it - but if it's white makeup or a white face paint - it's usually safe for use on the face. I couldn't imagine it not being okay. I've known some people to do it with rice water - I just don't know how. I am sure you could look it up on google too - or google 'cheap' 'white face paint' tutorials.

  • Oh I love it! Im a HUGE morticia fan ^^

  • oh man that just looks awesome. I should do this for my Crow make up and show it online

  • WOW, I just love that! :) Gotta give it a try! ;o) Thanks!
