Hey, I love both Mr. T and Roddy Piper and I don't know why they don't like each other. I heard George Papard didn't like Mr. T either. I think it was the character he portrayed. I would have thought since both Mr.T and Roddy seem to have fun personalities that they'd get along but I'm sensing that one of the two was a diva. Piper doesn't think that actors make good wrestlers and some Actors don't think wrestlers make good actors. They've both recovered from cancer so I hope they patch things

I had the priv of meeting Mr Piper many many years ago and actually spent about 30 minutes in his presence. When the cameras are not rolling, he is the nicest guy and has nothing bad to say of other wrestlers of his calibre. Total CLASS! When the cams are rolling, though... TOTAL ASS!!!! If anyone reads Hulk Hogan's book you'll find out what kind of jerk Mr. T was and probably still is! Hulk wrote that Mr. T was getting ready to leave at Wrestle Mania because Mr. T brought a bunch of guest without any notice and there was no way to get the guest in. Well of course Hulk went out of his way by talking with Vince and they surrendered to Mr. T's demands in which saved Wrestle Mania. So ask yourself "Did Mr. T deserve to be the #1 celebrity inducted into the hall of fame"?

Roddy Piper was one of the nicest wrestlers I had ever met in working for the Spectrum for over 25 years,just a true gentleman in every way.He had got jumped by three guys on a plane on his way to Philadelphia and still wrestled that night,and had enough time to take pictures with me in the back of the Arena.just an true nice guy.thanks Roddy

Mr T let fame and fortune go to his head in the 80's. I've seen his appearances on Late Night. Pure hateful attitude.

But, Mr T had an attitude adjustment after his cancer scare in the late 90's. He seems a lot nicer now. I've seen recent interviews and he seems pleasant, mellow, and funny.

Plus. In the 80's a lot of wrestlers didn't like Mr T because he was a wannabe wrestler who didn't pay his dues like everyone else. He was in the main event at Wrestle Mania because he was a celebrity.

With all due respect to Rowdy Piper, but he has to realize that if it wasn't for the Popularity of Mr.T at the time and Hulk Hogan's WWF Title win from the Iron Sheik, the WWF would've died then and there. If it wasn't for Mr.T, Wrestlemania wouldn't have gotten the publicity. Mr.T trained really hard and took the Wrestling business more serious then some of these "pros" like Ric Flair what not. Simply, Without Mr.T, No Wrestlemania, no WWF, No Hogan, Or Piper!

With all due respect, Mr. T's involvement in Wrestlemania gave the WWF the publicity they needed to explode on the national scene. Mr. T could have sunk the ship by coming out and wrestling very poorly. To Mr.T's credit, he trained hard and took the wrestling very seriously and contributed well to an entertaining main event. Having personal issues with him is fine, but he was very professional as a wrestler.

@Derby14 The problem is is that T wanted it to be a shoot and felt that he was the best in the ring, even over Hogan, since he was a "legit" tough guy being a bouncer. He REFUSED to sell to the heels and it took a few stiff shots to let T know he wasnt in the ring with a bunch of wannabees. There is a difference in taking it seriously and thinking your better than everyone.

@Derby14 I agree with that, but if you read Hogan's book you'll see that Mr T almost single-handedly ruined the main event because he was having a temper tantrum over security not letting in his entourage of some 25 or more people. He threatened to walk away, and it was Hogan who smoothed things over. Mr T was out of his element, and should've shown more respect. It is true that Orndorff wanted to hurt T, and in some ways it's justifiable.

@Derby14 In the ring he was fine and professional, outside the ring sometime... For instance, they were some problem with his personal security that did not want to let him go to the ring at wrestlemania 1. It took Hogan to bring Mr.T to the ring because Mr.T was ready, at that point, to simply not show off. On the other hand, we probably don't know the story from all the side and I think Piper would have let bigger jerk do some stupider stuff...

It just concerns me of the criteria for induction. When you induct somebody like Koko before Roddy Piper or Randy Savage just blows my mind. A HOF is supposed to be for the elite I thought, but maybe I just don't know what I'm talking about since the WWE would probably just say I was stupid mark.

He got in because he was good in the independants and though he didn't hold any major titles he put butts in the seats and made Vince a whole lot of money.
