  • The idling sounds like Zeus hurling thunderbolts, this is stang is no joke

  • I'm not a mustang guy nor a domestic guy but that sh*t sounds mean!!

  • SEX FOR MY HEARS!!!! LOVE IT!!!

  • what does s197 mean

  • @lote1234567891011 That's the model designation for this generation of Mustang.

  • What Exhaust System do you have? The Hot Rod Cams sound Great!!!

  • man I love the nice deep, rich but quick idle. Sick stang

  • i love those wheels. they look awesome especially for being stock. I should hopefully have a video up of mine after the exhaust is done and i think my rims are just as good. They had some good taste for these models from the factory

  • Nice sound but the wheels got to go!!!!

  • what numbers did this car put down

  • sounds better than most of the other mustangs of this year

  • I just came...

  • me too holy shit. i love how its all stock with an evil tone. clean.

  • how much does ir cost to install cams

  • i heard numbers about 400 to 450 , but if you can handle some tools , it's gonna be free !! , its not a big deal to install those cam , i'm gonna do the job by myself

  • cams are the easy part ....its when ya have to put springs in,especially these 3 valve motors

  • Just buy the specialty tools from Ford and get the cams that don't require new springs. It will take you 4hrs to install the new cams. Just be sure to get the car tuned afterwards. I had the means so I had Steeda install mine. It cost me $500 with the dyno tune. As soon as I get a video camera I will post up some vids.

  • sounds like a beast id love to see more vids of it

  • A car that sounds like that would make a vette run scared

  • @bassofamerica actually, my stang sounds like that, and my vette is just fine with it cause itll still smoke it

    cute comment though

  • First of all, thanks for saying that it is not yours. It amazes me how many Youtubers claim that a car in their vid is theirs when it is not (there was a guy who posted a video of the one off Ford owned Super Stallion and said it was his). The car sounds amazing! Nice lobe to it. Thanks for posting the stats on it! Five stars!

  • all go and no show. i like

  • With the Powerhouse setup a 4.0 can make 440 rwhp to the ground with the 2.11 cam regrind which I already have google powerhouse turbo 4.0 mustang plus what I have thats not on those numbers is a 125 shot of Nos tell me I cant see 10's for 5 grand more when im fighting for 11's without the b

  • You're not going to see 10s with 5K and a V6. Maybe if you dropped 750+ pounds of weight first. Getting your ET lower is not linear. It gets progressively harder and harder to lower the ET. Especially once you get to a certain point.

Without FI, a V6 is NOT doing 12's either unless again, you lost A LOT of weight.

  • Here we go People im not the guy that thought this was a 6. and for the 10s with a v6 for 7grand it is possible. WHTCANBRWN04u dipshit there is a way and I never said it would cost you7k but me it would im running 12's right now without a blower or turbo on a cammed v6 2.11 grind so all I can say is do more research again its possible a 10.9 is 10s right and before i said i run mickys for rear

  • where did you get your cams from?

  • Comment removed

  • how much horse power?

  • what did it make?

  • i fuckin love the noise of those strokes

  • Oh man I can't believe some one actually thought that was a V6 lol. If that was a V6 then pigs could fly.

  • if you think thats a v6 you should never be seen around a car. retard

  • wat ever my laptop speakers r pretty shitty so it sounds different

  • It's a V8, cowboy.

  • i noticed that after i posted this but i cant delete comment

  • not true i spent 18k on 2007 and spent $639 on a computer controled Wet kit and ran 4 runs with a stock auto and standard GT at lagrange and ran almost a whole second faster than a GT do research. Ive now spent 3 grand on mine and its snow running 2 seconds and with 5 more grand for installed Power adder I can be in the 10s

  • your saying you can get this car in the ten sec bracket with out getting into the bottom end of the motor no piston change or head change or nnything

  • Yes its been done get all bolt ons 70mm TB, CAI 90mm, 93 tune all rev limiters bypassed, NOS from 75-150 shot, at least 9 psi, full exhaust posi track and 3.73 or 4.10 or 4.56 with set of mickeys on back easy ten that a totla of around 7k at the most on top of your 18k a stock GT barley breaks 14s into high 13 1/4

  • Your stupid. TB? Are you serious? LOL. I dont think you realize how difficult it is to break into the 10s. There is no way your doing it for $7k without blowing up your motor or fucking something up. You mentioned no suspension mods, how do you plan on getting that power to the ground?

  • @Smelly196 Wow. . . . .reading > you

  • @Smelly196 what the hell gave you the idea that this was a v6...all you hafta do is listen to it, theres a distinct difference between the 2

  • @Smelly196 dumb ass!!!

  • @Smelly196 LOL! what the heck made you think this was a v6?

  • PWND

  • N.I.C.E

  • this is the baddest sounding new v8 that ive ever heard. really has that early 70's sound . cool car man

  • dude. how you get the computer to think there is cats when really there isn't

  • they sell a sensor connection that tricks the computer... it's nice but you still gotta bribe the inspection guy

  • damn man!!! i see ya have alberta plates? where abouts are ya?edmonton here

  • troutbutter, you are very correct. efficiency has alot to do with a blower. BUT you know for a fact that you dont see a 10.5 car running a twin screw, you see them with a centri, or turbos in most cases. They can efficently produce more boost than a standard charger. But anyways, the cams sound very nice, they are BBR stage 2. I do not like them because they are regrinds (you can get billet, but they are expensive) i will be getting the FRPP hot rod cams or a nice set of comps

  • Planning on a blower, or n/a?

  • led0zeppelin1977........you sound like you know something about chargers.....but you are dead wrong with the whipple and kenne belle having higher "tuning" capabilities....procharger is the number one used charger' in all race applications......a centri will pump out WAY more than a twin screw if tuned right. Twin will reach about 20 psi while a centri can reach over 30 psi and is serious applications, even MORE. street use=twin screw or roots...race=centri or turbo....i own an 07 mustang GT

  • psi isn't everything. What matters is how much air is flowing. You can have a large TS (like the 3.4L Whipple) at 20psi blowing more air than something else at 30. In this case, the TS will give more HP.

  • Cammed how many horse power give the car??

  • holy shit man, talk about afucking sleeper!

  • nice sound. i am thinking about ordering that cam, but i never can find out, what is the difference between a normal mustang gt, and a s197 mustang

  • S197 is the chassis designation. The older ones were "SN95".

  • anyone know what cams are on it?

  • These sound like the BBR Stage 2.

  • Why must youtube's auto section be infested with haters? Doesn't mnatter whose car it is. Very clean S197 with a great idle! Love the cammed sound. Makes for truly modern muscle! Thanks for posting up. -stang2goat

  • Word up.

  • my exact same S197 06 gt stang nice

  • hey man how much was installation? and its a comp cam stage 3? or what? im on my helio so if u have that info down it doesnt show up on my cell fone

    --

    Sent from my Helio Ocean

  • Again I'll say it - it's not my car. I don't know what the install cost.

  • is this the v6?

  • seriously?

  • I meant for the "seriously?" to be under cheesepufff.

  • ever heard of h-pipes on a v6 and a body kit with cams, it'll look and sound the same thats why i ask i cant really see the back emblem but it looked like the pony on the sixer

  • Yes, i've head a v6 with h, and with dual mufflers.

Please note, this car has an x pipe, not an H. GT badge on the fender is kind of a give away too, in case you have the video muted.

  • wow, sounds bad ass,

  • that car sounds bad ass

  • I wana see it race or somthing not just idle come on. Sounds cool now lets see how it performs.

  • oooooooh

    8)

  • sexy as hell!!!

  • besides the cam what else have you done to it????

  • As I posted before... It's not my car, but here are the owner's specs... Stainless Works 1-3/4" longtube headers with 3" x-pipe, no cats and Bassani axle wrap pipes and mufflers. Steeda underdrive pulies WMS ram air intake with the 95mm mass Ford Racing 39lb injectors ported and polished heads which were done locally livernois hd beehive valve springs Zex kit BBR stage 2 regrind cams BBR tuning for cams and one for 100hp shot built by sct themselves WMS wideband o2 kit Autolite HT0 plugs
  • damn.. i would run tanks and tanks of gas out, just sittin around listenin to my car idle if it sounded like that. What a beautiful sound...

  • That is SICK... makes me wanna drop money on cams for my 05... WICKED!!!

  • hell yeah sounds good

  • wuts the s197?

  • "S197" is any 05 and newer Mustang. It's the body identifications. 79-93 was the "Fox" body, 94-98 was "SN95" 99-04 was "SN95 New Edge"

  • oh so its jsut the body no difference in performance or anything?

  • This should answer all of your questions and more:

    en . wikipedia . org /wiki/Ford_Mustang

There IS a difference in performance between them, just read up! It's an interesting and fun read, I promise you'll like it!

  • Yeah each year they change something up here or there. For example, 94-98 was the SN95 but the 5.0 was available only from 94-95, 96-98 had a 4.6 SOHC. There are also several options from year to year, in 01 there was the Bullit based off the Steve McQueen movie, 03-04 Mach 1 and there are countless options and all kinds of stuff from year to year.

  • yeah thats wut i love about mustangs vs camaros and vets is u got a ton of options on the newer ones, for instantance u can have a v6 a 300 horse v8 a 320,345,500 and u have the saleens which have 330,460,and 550 horses and then u got the shelbys. and older ones u got the cobras. and soon another bullet. but yeah u gotta lvoe all the options

  • jesus tity fucking christ.

but the real question here is??

    is it fast??'

    ahahahahahahah

  • Hell yeah that's how I need mine to sound

  • ok i konw a fair amount about cars and such and i drive an 06 gt... what i dont know is how much power i can gain from cams.. what stage would be appropriate for an everyday driver? i would also want a bad ass sound... how expensive are cams for my ride? thank

  • Cams themselves are around $750 (you may need valve springs and other stuff, too), but the install is what costs a lot. You really can't install them yourself unless you know what you're doing and have the correct tools. Then you would need a dyno tune - probably by the same folks who installed it, otherwise it won't run too well, if at all.

  • You'd probably be looking close to $2,000 when all is said and done. You could probably pick up 35 peak HP at the wheels, which isn't worth it to me. It's 1/3rd the price of a supercharger or turbo, and makes less than 1/10th the potential power of one. Unless you really want the sound, don't do 'em.

  • nice i appreciate that man i really would like the sound but hell paying for the car itself isnt too fun so im definitely not going to spend that kind of money on something that doesnt make very much power for the money im spending.. any suggestions on which supercharger works the best for my car?

  • get a whipple or kenne bell. saleens look nice, but ive heard of a lot of installation problems and whipple and kenne bell have the best power potential. and unless its a total track car, dont get a centrifugal supercharger, make sure its a twin screw s/c. with cams and a supercharger, youre going to be making a lot of power, even supercharger alone, our cars can only handle up to about 450 before you need to buy forged internals

  • I'm picking up an 08 gt next week this was great info from everybody, what's the diference in hp gains with the centrifugal as with the twin screw? how much does the kenne bell and whipple put out compared to the saleen and the procharger. why is kennebell the best?

  • theyre about the same output, t/s is easier to put in. whipple and kenne bell have much higher tuning capacities while saleen and procharger dont, saleen is very easy on the eyes and theyre coming out with a beautiful ram-air s/c. kenne bell and whipple, from what ive seen are about equal, ive seen the whipple and then kenne bell crowds put out some sick hp. either of those two, you cant go wrong

  • im 15 and i have an 87 camaro with a custom cherry bomb exaust sounds nasty i only paid $300 for the car all it needs is a intake manifold because the threads broke off where thermostat housing bolts to it causing it to leak water it will go at least 150mph i know becuase my dads friend has a "MUSTANK" cobra that goes 150 on his speedometer and mine can hang with it but im not 4 sure how fast mine will to do my speedo only goes to 80 but my camaro will waste any stock mustank

  • That's cool.

  • Calm down rook. Your camaro isnt going to waste every stock mustang.

  • dude get over yourself, 87 camaro's suck, theyre the reason that Chevy went to the LS1 after the piece of shit LT1 they put in those cars, i highly doubt that it can do 150mph, you sure that isnt kph? any car that costed $300 cant run 150, no fucking way, grow up and then talk to the big boys of the mustang world.

  • wow modular your a real dumbshit aren't you lol... yes 87 camaros suck, and no they didn't have lt1's Lt1s appeared in the 93-97 formulas..trans ams...and camaros ls1 started in 98

  • not a dumbshit there slick, i realize they didnt use those motors until 93. go fuck yourself.

  • no, your $300 pile of Mullet goodness is not 'badass', it's a hick ass shitbox... go back inside your trailer and leave the internet alone. thanks.

  • take it easy man, don't kill yourself. Do it at the track. it's awesome to see a 15 year old own a camaro and not a honda. Im glad you saw the light right away.

  • not mine for sure i got a stock gt

beat an lt1 slighty modded and those things are pretty fast but its all driver buddy

and your only fifteen you might want to start off with a van before you even get inside an american mucle car

  • sounds real nice with cams, for some reason these newer stangs just sound like an old dumptruck when people put loud pipes on a stock motor. Nice work dude.

  • sorry I don't know anything about cars. What are cams ?

  • Cams determine how far the valves open, and how long they stay open. So by changing cam profiles you can change when the engine will make power, and how much air/fuel/exhaust goes in and out of the engine. The reason the mustang in this video has a lope to its idle is because there is a degree of overlap between when the intake and exhaust valves open and close. This is bad for low end torque, but great for mid to high end hp.

  • I wish I knew more about cars.

  • thats the only new mustang i seen that sounds that good, nice car man!

  • that sounds sick, what exhaust you got?

  • Thats where gears would come in handy.

  • Ask the guy who owns the car how much low end grunt he lost. I freakin' love the way a nice high lift cam sounds but don't want to sacrifice my everyday driveability. That does sound freakin NICE though!

  • I'm not sure how much he lost...but I think he now has a 76mm Hellion turbo kit.

  • With the newer 'stangs, they have variable Cam timing. Any good tuner can set up the timing so you won't lose any (or very, very little) of your low-end, even with Stage 2 cams.

  • sounds awesome but ithink you should get better rims. or maybe you have some for summer?

  • Good suggestion---to the guy who owns the car.

  • WoW....Sounds awesome. Is this the 3-valve heads?

  • Yep.

  • sounds like the tribal drums during King Kong. . . . .j/k, awesome!!!!!!

  • damn that sound awesome

  • What kind of power and did the cams make a big differance? I have heard they are worth 33 hp more.

  • Sweet Sound Of American Muscle!

  • what cam/exhaust setup are you running?

  • It's not my car, but here are the owner's specs... Stainless Works 1-3/4" longtube headers with 3" x-pipe, no cats and Bassani axle wrap pipes and mufflers. Steeda underdrive pulies WMS ram air intake with the 95mm mass Ford Racing 39lb injectors ported and polished heads which were done locally livernois hd beehive valve springs Zex kit BBR stage 2 regrind cams BBR tuning for cams and one for 100hp shot built by sct themselves WMS wideband o2 kit Autolite HT0 plugs
  • Are you sure the cams were degreed properly?

  • That shit sounds SICK! Good Job!

  • a very large tent i must say

  • that will raise a tent in your pants

  • thats just awesome

  • da stang sound mean man kick ass lope i cant wait to get mine in my 03 gt

  • i love that lope. can't wait to get my cams installed :).
