  • George is a monster! I always hate how so many people forget about hi.

  • This dude is insane no less no more !

  • hell yes this is sharp

  • i suck at guitar now

  • This shirt makes me cry! 20 years I've played, and loved, and seen George perform. I'll never be able to play the way Georges style has touched, shaped, and amazed my musical inner soul. His string attack is one something I can truly say I love.

  • @cdaniel5150 all have his own style , sense

  • great guy

  • George Lynch once fingered a woman, that woman can no longer walk. . .

  • @nickelfer save that for someplace else

    doesnt belong here

  • @bubbabear70 Why so serious?

  • I've been listening to rock guitarist since the 1960's. George Lynch is without question one of the best ever. George knows how to shred the fretboard, while keeping the solo extremely melodic and in keeping with the flow of the song. So many guys today are just into speed, without any concern of the direction of the song. George doesn't just play guitar, he's a true musician.

  • just another evh clone who missed the point

  • I'm laughing in amazement right now I didn't know about this guy till know I'm such a fool

  • @666thrashmaster hey man if you want a real good hair metal album buy Dokken's album back for the attack, George Lynch will blow your mind some more on that album

  • insane player man i was lucky enough to meet him in august hes such a humble n polite guy

  • ele usa seymour duncan sh-12 ponte???

  • @marcusronan Distortion PATB-2

  • George Lynch IS among the best ever! Too bad we aren't in the era of Guitar virtuosos like EVH, Satch, ,Vai, Rhoads, Malmsteen, and Lynch. Did you know that Ozzy Osbourne selected Randy Rhoads when Ozzy was forming his solo band?

  • @VinnieLepore yep, VINNIE MOORE,Jennifer batten,Lynch,Jason Becker,Warren DeMartini,chris impeletti,marty friedman,greg howe,EVH, and soo on there were many many many awsome players

  • does he just make instrumentals?

  • @Tropicsca you must be very young if you never herad of Dokken and Lynch Mob, dude! get a grip!

  • One of the best man!

  • This guy has never been really human... his sense of melody, phrasing and control over the instrument are definitely not of this earth! Yes he kills them all hand down!

  • He blows me away every time I hear him play

heaps of people can shred awesomely but, they can't make it sound as COOL as George Lynch can

  • My guitar just got destroyed when I listened to this.. damn!

  • @Outer0Heaven I feel your pain brother! Every time I listen to someone of this caliber, I just want to break all of my guitars and quit playing! Holy fuckin' ball sack! I give up! FUCK!!!!!

  • @Gilbertage2007 Amen Brother!

  • The devil likes this video :)

  • for gods sake, grynch's playing makes me want to throw away my guitar.. his feel, tone and attack are sick..

  • Hooray. Guitar videos on Youtube, have the faar most Horrible comment sections. Why did the good videos, call forth the most stupid of people on the planet earth????

  • @zajac1661 i wish i knew. on the same note it doesnt matter how many idiots drop in to talk shit or dislike, lynchs talent is forever on display.

  • @zajac1661 hahaha. +1. I get sick of hearing, so and so kicks so and so's ass. Why can't people just enjoy the greatness? The truly great thing about all of these great guitarists, from Lynch, to Zakk, to Randy, to EVH, to Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes is that we get to enjoy all of the various techniques and great songs.

  • His phrasing in these solos (especially All I want) is phenomenal.

  • Best vibrato in metal.

  • by far the BEST version of all i want

  • Comment removed

  • Like him because he never dries up....

  • I'm so going to build that guitar. Anyone know what pickups are in that guitar?

  • @acidtwinblaze put some screaming demons in that bitch, seriously though, probably some seymour duncans

  • @ltmittens The Screaming Demons definitely, and I guess hot rails for the single coils.

  • @acidtwinblaze that specific guitar has a JB in the bridge and hot rails in the neck and middle.

  • @zakk454 ah ok, thanks.

  • Unfortunately George gets lumped in with all the hair spray posers from the eighties. But unlike those clowns George can really play. He's got awesome technique with a lot of feel. He's like the David Gilmour of the eighties

  • @jtc1148 Not really. The name Lynch is regularly mentioned in the same breath as the other greats of that era. The reason for that is that he is just too damn good compared to the hair spray posers. He was featured regularly in the major guitar magazines in lengthy articles in which his techniques and style were explained.

  • SOAR GEORGE SOAAAAAAAAAR!!!!!!!

  • Probably the best player from the 80s. He's just one with that guitar! So insanely melodic and so otherwordly rhythmic!!! <3

  • Monster rhythm player...monster lead player....a style that is unmistakable, gritty and sinister. Enough said!

  • 25 dislikes! These people don't know real talent, must be deaf and brain dead!!

  • @badhorsee - both are bad ass guitarists, lol

  • talkin bout vai -not lynch-love lynch!

  • This is the george I know and admire. What has he done lately? he looks like Arnie and sounds totally different when he talks. Is he into weights and potions now? Metal guitarists and actually, all guitarists, always suit being slightly effeminete, they somehow make it cool, unlike drummers who must be rough tough guys, ha ha!

  • The ONLY thing ESP about this guitar is the damn decal

  • Comment removed

  • People usually get arrested for assaults like this. That poor ESP didn't stand a chance.

  • One of the smartest things I've done as a player is steal Lynch's vibrato. It is THEE metal/shred benchmark.

  • Outstanding!

  • Thanks for the info. on the ESP........I love his tone and overall sound on this thing. Now if he could only do the new Dokken album with this sound. I mean, you hear this tone and right away, you know it's George.....but I don't know man, these last few albums he's done....I don't get it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it - right?

  • george lynch is one of my favorite guitarists! i was able to see him years ago when they opened for aerosmith. stuff like this is why i like him. plus he's still jammin!!!

  • In that video george plays great!!! a lot of interesting guitar solos solution!!!

  • Hey does anybody know what ESP guitar this is and what pickups? What's in his rig?

  • @MAGNUM121570 This is a custom made ESP with an all maple body, maple quilt top, and I believe seymour duncan Cool Rails single's and TB-6 'bucker. Also had an ebony fretboard and Original Floyd Rose. I spoke to George at a clinic a while back and he said the guitar was stolen years ago. ESP has made a limited run of this exact guitar a couple times. that's why you never see it in his studio tours. His amp in this video I think was an SLO100 Soldano. SMOKING amp!

  • I take this over mindless modern shred anyday

  • Awesome! He is pure genius! I could watch and listen to him play for hours!

  • god i hate him for not using this river of love solo..as well as the others!! hes so awesome tho

  • @TX4upapi 3:09 River of Love solo....

  • that george lynch playin all my licks and riffs note for note yet again nothing new but it drives me mad

  • Can't wait to see Lynch in Anchorage Alaska on the 3rd baby!

  • Just put a guitar in his hands and let him soar. Fucking hell...

  • 4:10 Lynch's gravitational force from pinch harmonics drags the camera man in!

  • I am a Jazz guy, but I was born and raised in the 80s-90s., so i also loved metal as a kid. I like really fast eruptions, but I wouldnt consider myself as an shred-fan! most guys just repeat a phrase in a ultra fast tempo. thats impressive, but a fast playing inst musical quality. But I like Lynchs playing, he has some great melodic ideas and its not just fast. hes a great guitar player

  • @BeatBay You are Absolutely Right, He's a FLAWLESS Guitar Player, and Very Gifted with the abilities he has,What I Love so Much is How he Mixes in those Minor Notes with Flat Notes and Makes such a Killer Sound during Solo's with it as well,He's my Absolute Fav. Guitarist on the Planet, and I would say Zakk Wylde's my 2nd!

  • This made me cun once every minute it played!

  • George is one Awesome, Bad-ass motherfucker!!!

  • @madbrahmina Now that's the Kinda Comments I Love to see and Hear.I give that a Absolute HELL YEAH! Fucking FLAWLESS BAD ASS.....

  • So so melodic

  • @williamtmoore67 Absolutely! He's a Fucking Genius on Guitar,For not Learning 2 read & Playing by Ear for So Many Years,I mean I know after all these years he has some form of Musical Knowledge in order 2 have a Dojo,Unless he has people that Writes his music &he reads it from a Monitor when giving Lessons.Because on that video with him& Dave Navarro,He said he couldn't play a Major Scale if his Life depended on it,Meaning he don't know the theory behind it or what it is,Hard 2 Believe But Hey.

  • One of the greatest guitarists ever. His lead is just insane but equally matched with his rhythm. I still remember listening to Mr Scary for the first time and being completely floored.

  • Yeah, these were George's finest hours. Even Vai said his sound was pure sex.

  • @onethousandflushes he is better than Vai

    by far

  • @pulanceyt honestly?.....vai lost it.....all he wants are those little dweedles with the tremolo system. To do things weird now. Back in the 80's early 90's.....he was the best. Now he is so sucked in, theres no way for him to come back. It is really sad....

  • @JPMusiclife george is faster and more melodic

  • @JPMusiclife Yeah It is sad,Let me say I own 2 Guitars and Both are Lynch Models the Snke N' Skyulls (Haji) and The Skull N Bones,You can see them Both on my Channel,I have a few videos of me playing some fragments of Some original Material I wrote and,Ne just Playing Some Monster licks,Sweeps and SCALES!!,

I Have a Flock of New Videos I will be Posting very Soon!

  • @JPMusiclife all those tweedels hehe , yeah i know what u mean, he dont do nuthin for me anymore, maybe hes so musically past me like an alien or sumthin, but i just dont feel him much at all, 2 fools a minute and big trouble on the dlr stuff was pretty good but he aint my favorite even though hes pretty good technically- no yngwie dimeola type speed -but hes good -overated i think i dunno , hes missing something, and its the something i like

  • @pulanceyt I hear ya Def. much better than Vai. Vai is a Great Guitarist but more of a performer!

  • @pulanceyt indeed he is. Vai is very flashy, but lacks emotion, IMO. Lynch, to me, can do anything.

  • @pulanceyt Dude, George is amazing, but no one is better than Vai.

  • @allrapsucks i disagree ...just take the beste solo from Vai and compare it with Linch

  • @pulanceyt haha LOL.

  • @KonkreteXXX hater

  • @pulanceyt and youre no hater? fuckin idiot

  • @KonkreteXXX no i am not

it was just my opinion you retarded piece of fuck

thats why the world of rock music is not united, because of people like you

  • @pulanceyt haha youre a stupid human being as i´ve ever seen. when I write LOL, that´s my opinion, did you ever think about that, stupid-ass bitch? and I´ve never said I belong to some sort of rock world...and who gives a fuck about it being united? if its good music, people will listen. well, it can be glad to have some diehard, and empty-headed "fans" like you, at least...who cant even get enough information out of a simple LOL to NOT write some stupid shit later on and embarass themselves.

  • @KonkreteXXX shoult i even bother reading your stupid hater comments?

no..why? because i cannot crack your skall to the wall so i will not read it.

  • @pulanceyt 1.ahh just admit it, you read it anyways.

    2. Your grammar is horrible.

    3. your doesnt make sense whatsoever.

  • @KonkreteXXX I did not and i will not

and you do not understant my gramar because you are an amoeba

and because you dont know what is an amoeba, you will find my grammar horrible

just read like a human not like a fucking bacteria and you will understand my words

no stop replying to me you fucking midget..why do i even bothers

you are so stupid you dont deserve to be insulted

  • @pulanceyt ahem...just so you know, i go to a school which specializes in biotechnology...so i DO know what a amoeba is...and i know for a fact it has a higher rate of brain activity than you.

  • @KonkreteXXX i love you too

  • @pulanceyt I don't think so... they are just different...

  • @pulanceyt

I like Lynch too, but he is a from the hip player.

Vai is a Wizard with a ton of magic at his finger tips.

  • @pulanceyt just from the sheer amount of comments on ur comment u must surely agree ur comment is debatable, dont u think?

  • @Ceaser0123456789 11 thumbs up,1 dumbs ass cursing me for no reason,2 that just expressed theyr opinion slight different than i did 8 fuckin months ago

  • @pulanceyt Still, the cursing guy and the 2 that expressed different opinions mean that there are people who prefer Vai. So i still say who's better is debatable.

Don't forget ur in a Lynch video so people who have come to this link are in the majority George Lynch fans. I think u'll get many more cursers and much less likes if ur comment was in a Vai video.

  • That's the guy that produced Youthanasia by Megadeth, I wish I knew his name.

  • @TallonIV776V max norman

  • Damn, these solos are hot. George Lynch is the man.

  • this is quite possibly one of the nicest guitars I've ever seen.....me want it!

  • This axman has a talent words can not cover!! Just use you ears!!!! Wonderful guitar riffs!!!!!

  • @sher77777 Thank you we have another Lynchster on the House,Your Comment Rocke that's right Please People use your Ears and Watch those Fingers and his Complexity, and Back then what it took to Be a Huge Star,Now Days and Back in the Early to mid 90's come Nirvana(Fucking Hated them and everything that Followed) There is not one Guitar Player that made a Name for there self from the Seattle Bullshit Music Era,Because they all done away with Lead Guitar Playing,Which they couldn't do.

  • is that 2 soldano 100s behind him?

  • @duvall375 Looks like it but hes more than likely plugged into the Purple Marshall 59 SLP in the right corner of the screen, id say that plus his EMGs and a bit of chorus gives him that sound

  • Sounds really good. The Kamikaze guitar is so beautiful. It is a great homage to Japan

  • I want that guitar!!!!

  • I would still choose his style over these uber-technical virtuosos like Howe, Vai and Kotzen..Lynch knows how to put those notes in their proper places

  • such a bitchin vibrato

  • 20 people accidentally hit the "Dislike" button...

  • I met George about a month ago in Brisbane. He's a cool guy, i got his autograph and a photo taking with him. One of my favourite guitar players ever.

  • @marlon2489

I met him tonight when he played in Dallas. He hung out after the show, took pictures with everyone that asked, signed autographs for everyone that asked, talked very genuinely to people. This guy is an incredible person. George is a rock star without the "rock star" attitude. The whole band LYNCH MOB was very friendly and personally thanked me for going to the show and for taking my 13-year-old twins too. My kids had a blast!

Thank you George, thank you Lynch Mob.

  • @garlandbob

George also told me that he and Don are talking about making a reunion album, a brand new Dokken CD and that he was playing in Oklahoma with them this coming Sunday.

  • what a great guitarist so much talent.

  • He changes techniques and licks very quickly. He is probably the best in recent history at that type of style. Wicked Sensation was his peak. Unfortunately, he doesn't really play like this anymore and no longer has this tone. His new solo album "Orchestral Mayhem" is interesting but shows that he's no longer how we see him in this video. Something so good could not last so long.

  • you're right about that shit, you're right about that...

  • @zzztyuop i think out of george lynch, and eddie vH, ill take lynch because of his different approach at guitar, yes eddie is good, but this guy is just original

  • Tremendous left hand strength!

  • LATER EDIT...the solo from all i want is a little different from the one on the album

  • this album whould have sounded a lot better if it was an instrumental album...overall it is good...but here it sounds perfect, and when you listen it you somehow feel dissapointed...i know i am somehow...still he is a kickass guitarist

  • My god, the harmonics he plays! He's a great guitar player; sounds like he's never out of ideas soloingwise.

  • kickass soloin im tryin to jam along to i t

  • *would

  • dam. if i had hair like that i ant get laid every night for sure

  • @Drew927 It's Not so much the Hair Bro,It's His Guitar Playing that Makes the Women Wet!!!!!!1 Cheers!!!!

  • @Drew927 It's Not so much the Hair Bro,It's His Guitar Playing that Makes the Women Wet!!!!!!1 Cheers!!!!

  • god he just kills it so bad here, if anyone thinks this is bad then they dont know anything about playing guitar. he doesnt spend his time with lame arpeggios he does something that is probably close to impossible to copy.

  • That's a common misconception about this guitar. It's a ESP custom shop ax he picked up at a a show in Japan.

  • ESP is full of SCUM

J FROG built the SKULL AND BONES

and the JAPS make George slap their SHITTY STICKER OVER A NICE HAND BUILT GUITAR

  • I love how the SCUM at ESP forced their JAP WAYS on George to put their sorry ass sticker on the J FROG Skull and Bones Guitar and THEY get credit for a really cool HAND CARVED GUITAR.

Look through your old 80's Guitar magazines and you will see numerous players blocking out the guitar's logo so they do not loose endorsements from some SHITTY COMPANY.

VAI was offered at the start from Ibanez $175,000.00

to join their team. He told them NO TWICE because he wanted to go with KRAMER.

    NAMM SHOW

  • how old is he here??? when did he start playing 3 past lifes ago seriously.

  • I love how he sanded "Charvel" off of the headstock and put ESP so they would let him use it. George is a badass

  • no way how you know its a charvel bro

  • gotta love that sound guy

  • I'd say it went really well...

  • Obviously, Vlad (The Needs Impaled) didn't listen to the beginning of the Vid...YES, He's just Jamming to do OVERDUBS the Studio.

  • Hey everyone go see Dokkentribute73 here on Youtube. If your a hard core Lynch fan you need to check out this dudes playing all Lynch too and absolutely amazing! He has Lynches exact tone and style. Check him out and he's really cool!

  • this guy has an insane playing style, and it works

  • Fucking George Has Got a Flawless Fucking Tone in the Studio,That Fucking Soldano,is a Bad Fucking Head,That was the HotRod Soldano,Back in the 90's,Bad Ass Sound,I Love it!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @chadmbedwell u should hear him on a 76 marshall with no distortion fuckin badass!!!!!!!

  • @chadmbedwell u should hear him on a 76 marshall with no distortion fuckin badass!!!!!!! He used it in a dokken concert.

  • @chadmbedwell what you see there is a soldano slo 100, but is switched off.

the only amp switched on is that purple modded marshall super lead

i believe in wicked sensation lynch used the slo 100 for the rythm parts and that great jmp 1959 for the lead

anyway....this lp is absolutely great....one of my all time favorite

lynch here is really inspired....wicked sensation, back for the attack and under lock and key are really awesome....fantastic....Master George Lynch in his best years

  • @chadmbedwell ye bro soldanos are good

  • @chadmbedwell if you look closely, you'll notice that he's actually using a BOSS Super Overdrive and an early 70's Marshall Super Lead for the leads.

  • @zls9890 saw that too but that looks like a marshall super lead amp head made in 1959

    best amp ever made

think it might be the same legendary amp he used for back for the attack album with dokken

tried 2 buy 1 myself haha shit runs for 5 grand! if i had the money i would buy 1 on the spot

  • @oozi4u it's actually an early 70's Marshall Super Lead, which he actually borrowed. I think he used a late 60's 'Plexi on "Back for the Attack" and just turned it up and let it sizzle.

Other amps that he used on the "Wicked Sensation" album were a Fender Champ; some Engl preamps; some other Marshalls, which I can't remember; and a Soldano with an ART EQ in the effects loop.

  • what guitar is that its real nice

  • dude is awesome. i grew up listening to dokken and was a big fan. people say malmsteens stuff all sounds the same, but with this guy, it's really true.

  • Anyone know what model ESP he's using there? Thanks

  • OMG 2:25-2:50 is just RIDICULOUS!!

  • what is ridiculous ?

  • Lynch is the Man, I used to watch clips of this vid on a "Hot Guitarist" VHS tape when I was a kid and I wanted that guitar so bad! His sound and style will forever be one of the sickest In my opinion. Sometimes when my friends came over, I would pop this in just to show them a thing or two......

  • That is so badass the way he switches to the front pickup between 1:03 and 1:08. Definitely killer tone and skill!

  • Hell Yea Man,I Love the way, He Flicks that Five way Switch Up to where it goes to his Single Coil Pickup and then after 5 seconds,He switches back to his Humbuckers.. Absolutely Killer Lead Tone,As I can Say George his the Bomb!!!!! Now Days he is Worht every Penny ,Because he gives one HELL of a Performance and he Def. Earns his KEEP!!!!!
